Ohhhhhhh thanks so I did see it in Tamil. Yeah I do remember Tamil talking wasnt hallucinating. The ending in Tamil also has a long running sequence where Ram is running after Sita. In Telugu version I saw in youtube just now, Ram crowns Lav Kush after Sita leaves and goes back to the Vaikunt where he meets Sita nice ending. Yeah I think I would love to see the Tamil version again if I ever get hold of it.

Lava Kusa was made in both Tamil n Telugu. They are not a dubbing of each other. In both movies NTR n Anjali Devi are Ram n Sita respectively but the kids who played Lav-Kush are different in Telugu n Tamil versions. Songs in both the are so beautiful!! mesmerizing..I don't have proper understanding of both the languages but can pick a few words which sound similar to Kannada words since I speak Kannada....Wish such a movie is made in Kannada someday 😍 Below is the song from Lava Kusa -Telugu Song Vinudu, Vindu Ramayana gatha

Khalrika - Yes, that song is indeed superb.........Its kind of funny though that NTR and one of the kids (I think Kusa) are painted in blue, to represent their dark color

Actually I liked the Lav-Kush song in the old Sagar Ramayan also...

"Ham kathaa sunaathe Ram sakal gun dhaam ki, Yeh Raamaayan hai punya kathaa Shri Ram ki"

The kids too had done a good job in it.

I was just reading thro' the "Sita kalyanam" section of VR Balakanda on the internet. In it Guru Vashishta is talking about the lineage of the Ikshvakus on behalf of King Dasaratha.

Similiarly would it not have made sense for Guru Shatananda to say the lineage of Videhas on behalf of King Janaka? Why does King Janaka say it himself?

I think it was because as the bride's father he had to. Not sure though.
