Thank you for posting the last part of the Uttar Kand. Which source do you use for the translations?

Normally, I use Valmikiramayan.net, but since it's still a work in progress wrt Yudhyakand and Uttarkand, I use this site by Sushma Gupta. Not all its verses are impeccable e.g. it does mention Lakshman as being referred to by Rama as the eldest of his bros, so I now only use it for the portions not yet covered by Valmikiramayan.com, and ask Ananya or anyone else to verify it for me.

P.S. Post# 1111!!!!! My new unrecognized milestone😆

Vibhiji I cant remember what the Tamil version was called It was many many years ago I only remember some scenes of it. Infact I dont remember if it was a serial or a mini series or movie. Hmmmmmm only thing I recall is in the Uttar Kand Ram sends Sita away, and Sita runs in the forest to commit sucide and her mother Bhoomi devi comes and stops her says she must live for now, and when the time comes she will herself come to take her away. I think I also remember that Sita goes into Bhoomi in Valmiki ashram, Ram when he finds Luv Kush are his sons knows Sita is nearby he tries to run after her but she runs from him and goes into the earth that is how they showed the climax in that version. Sorry I wish I remembered more.

NTR as Rama in Lava Kusa movie is Telugu though. Is there a Tamil dubbed one too? This summary fits perfectly in that.

Many of the South Indian movies had been dubbed in other South Indian movies - Especially Tamil - Telugu. When I first watched Bhakta Prahalada, I thought it was originally made in Tamil but then realised that it was made in Telugu first and dubbed in Tamil.

Is this movie the same as Sampoorna Ramayan or its continuation or a totally different one?

Lava Kusa was made in both Tamil n Telugu. They are not a dubbing of each other. In both movies NTR n Anjali Devi are Ram n Sita respectively but the kids who played Lav-Kush are different in Telugu n Tamil versions. Songs in both the are so beautiful!! mesmerizing..I don't have proper understanding of both the languages but can pick a few words which sound similar to Kannada words since I speak Kannada....Wish such a movie is made in Kannada someday 😍 Below is the song from Lava Kusa -Telugu Song Vinudu, Vindu Ramayana gatha

Below is a link for tamil movie Lava Kusa with Gemini Ganesan as Lakshman. In Telugu movie Lakshman is played by Kantha Rao
A must watch movieđŸ‘đŸŒ

If I get time today, Ananya, I'll watch it in Tamil and provide the lyrics and translation.

If not today, whenever I get time.

Thank you so much VibsđŸ€—....take ur time, no hurry.
I think ,in both the movies climax is deviated from Uttakand of Valmiki ,.Mata Sita enters the earth in Valmiki ashram . While entering the earth does she say "my job is done so don't stop me" , to Ramji ??
