She was apparently Kumbhakarna's second wife. Chatter, does that mean that we extend the RKI fan club to cover this new wife of KKchacha? 😆😆

Deepa, I agree with you regarding NTR. I was under the impression I was watching Arjun or someone else till I heard the words and remembered he was Ravan. We are used to seeing him as Krishna and Rama.

Thanks for the information on Urmila spilling water on the painting - it would have been good to see such a scene.

I hope to have the sloka on YouTube in the next day or so. Actually, coming to think of it, I'll include Karkati as well, and include her in my Kumbhakarna playlist - how about it?

Yeah, she wasn't fat. So I guess she either expanded for Kumbhakarna, or Kumbhakarna shrunk. I also wonder how she split time with him between herself and Vajramala - I guess I think too much of these details 😆

But didn't your original story have her fleeing with a small retinue to her father? And also, her father gave her in marriage to Kumbhakarna, but here, he's wondering how she became pregnant, and is suspecting the devas?? As per the stories I read yesternight, her father was the one who wanted Kumbhakarna to marry her, and here, he's totally flummoxed?😕

I agree with you - I think the Sagars just want us to cry cry cry!!!!😡

P.S. Sita, no need to feel dumb - except maybe for those who watch Om namah Shivaya, nobody knew that there was a Karkati, or who she was. I myself read about her for the first time yesternight, and had it not been for Ananya, Vibs & Chen2chic, I'd have been totally mystified watching tonight's episode.

Read the last few pages of the thread 'Doubts & discussions', where we coincidentally happened to discuss Karkati last night. And yep, I've challenged Mallika/Chatter to show the newborn of KKchachu there 😆😆😆

Also, I added a pic of Vali having a unique combination of bananas and sura/soma just before his fight w/ Sugriv to your Vanara club. Interesting combo 😆😆😆
