He could have probably told that Shri Ram & Sita were in his heart and did not need any other gift from Sita. I know it sounds a bit outrageous, but still if we think he told it in a nicer way, he would have still had the opportunity to show his heart. This is just in my opinion....
This is just for discussion and I do not mean to offend, but does it depict his animalistic nature?

Right, Hanuman did not need any external props for his bhakti toward Shri Ram, but because Sita gave him the pearl necklace, and it would be rude declining the gift, he took it, but searched the beads for an image o of his Lord. He did not purposefully tear the beads from the necklace, but the force of his strength teared the beads as he searched each and every bad. It was only when someone else (not sure if it was Vibhishan or not) asked him if he had the image of Lord Ram and Devi Sita inside him that he teared apart his breast to reveal Prabhu Shri Ram and Mata Sita.
Honestly, I think we're making a bigger issue out of Hanuman breaking apart the necklace than needed.😆 It is the symbolism of the incident that is important, and not what Hanuman did with the necklace.

Mandodari ji and Chatter ji,
I do not know who they were but I thought they must be the Sagars.
In Shri Krishna, Sagar ji did come for a song glorifying Lord Krishna - a song that was similar to the one they appeared in yesterday's episode.
But I'm not sure who the couple were.

Oh ok, I was thinking they were depicting some ancestors of Shri Ram, bcoz normally Devtaas are not that old right?

Yupp, agree to this point godisone. Whatever happened was as per the Maayaapati's intentions. So we'll just take the result and not the means. But your point that the force of Lord Hanuman might have broken the beads does make sense...

😲 so much of a discussion here and guess the hot topic wasHanuman tearing the necklace given by Sita 😉 I'll give my views after watching today's epi.
@ Chatter di: I too think that the old couple that appeared in the song (Ram stuti) were Sagars but the crown didn't suit them one bit🤢 and it looked so ludicrous
(again this is my opinion, no offense meant)

I too have not read the actual text, but in the translation given on the internet, it says that after the Rajyabhishek, that night for the first time in 14 yrs Lakshman slept in the arms of his beloved Urmila. So I guess Valmiki did not forget Urmila, but not much importance is given to the three sisters UMS.

😉 I think yes, its being blown out of proportion and today's epi is to be aired yet so u'll find more things coming up .....
its just that each one has Ramayana so close to their hearts that one cannot stop asserting their POV

Firstly the episode was wonderful, it was really like seeing the actual Raja Ram of Treta Yug. I liked the explanation given by Shri Ram for allowing Sita to ascend the throne first. Kudos to Gurmeet ji & Debina ji and the others for their classic performances.
But then am just throwing my two cents in:
I feel the discussion between Ram&Sita could have been shown later, probably when they were alone. They were seated on the throne, and Guru Vashisht reminds Shri Ram that he had to thank the people. So I thought their discussion was a misfit in that scene and situation.
I was expecting them to show expressions on Shatrughan's face also when Ram is speaking and they showed expressions on all other faces like Bharat, Lakshman, the three mothers, even Maharaja Janak. Poor Shatrughan, he was literally hiding behind the throne. :)
And also, I do not understand how accepting a gift from Sugriv would make Ram more indebted to him? There is no question of debt between friends right? And theirs was a fair deal, Ram gave back Sugriv's wife and Sugriv helped Ram get back his wife. Was it not customary to give and recieve gifts at such times in those days?
