An old awards show clip featuring Trisha Krishnan has resurfaced online at a time when Thalapathy Vijay is facing intense personal speculation. The video is being widely shared amid unconfirmed reports about trouble in his marriage with Sangeetha Sornalingam.

On Friday, reports claimed that Sangeetha has filed for divorce, alleging that the actor was involved in an “adulterous relationship" with an actress. The legal plea does not name anyone. The renewed chatter gained pace because of the duo’s history on screen. Around the same time, a clip from the South Indian International Movie Awards in Dubai last year began circulating again. Trisha was being honoured for completing 25 years in cinema. During her speech, she referred to Vijay and said, “I would like to tell him good luck on his new journey. Whatever he dreams, may they come true because he deserves it."
