Summary of Episode 17

• Manmohan packs his bags in Fatehgarh and meets Rakhi one last time before he bids her goodbye and leaves for his Hometown, Rishikesh
• Manmohan receives a hero's welcome in his hometown
• Manmohan picks up Rakhi from her Hotel and takes her to the mandir. After darshan, they sit and talk in the mandir:
• Manmohan then takes her home –she is welcomed by the entire family – Manmohan's mother does aarti

Rakhi sits and chats with all the ladies of the house:
• Rakhi is shocked as Manmohan's mother has had a complete change of heart and is now telling her that she does not need to follow their conservative traditions
• Manmohan's mother says that she was only testing Rakhi by saying all these things and that Rakhi can continue to live as per her own free will
• They discuss the traditions of the house
• They discuss Rakhi's career and if she will continue working after marriage
• They discuss if Rakhi's real family will be invited to the wedding
• Rakhi talks about how she will conduct dance and Yoga classes to make everyone in the house lose weight
• Would you like to stay in Mumbai or Rishikesh?

Rakhi then sits with Manmohan's immediate family – Father, Mother, Elder brother and younger brother. They talk about:
• Manmohan's father says that she will have to forget what she was like in the past and live like their daughter-in-law
• Rakhi requests Manmohan's family that she would like to continue working after marriage – Manmohan's father says that he would not like his daughter-in-law to work
• Manmohan's father says that the only dowry that they want is that the bahu should be very sanskaari
• Manmohan's elder brother asks Rakhi – you are a celebrity and we are a normal family, what are you feelings about this?

• Rakhi and Manmohan then proceed for Ganga aarti


Manmohan and Rakhi then have a one-on-one conversation in the hotel
• Rakhi talks about how she had intended to only meet his immediate family and get to know them but there were so many people that she didn't get to know them as well as she would have liked to
• Rakhi asks Manmohan why Anjali didn't come
• Rakhi says that his mother was very different from when she met her in Fatehgarh and she is very concerned because of this
• Rakhi mentions that Manmohan has said that 99% they won't be able to get married as his elder brother has to get married before him
• Rakhi tells Manmohan that he was not able to handle the crowd that came to see her and he didn't even protect her from the crowd
• She then says that before someone rejects her – she will reject that person

Rakhi's bytes on the whole home visit:

• She says that she went to Rishikesh with the aim of finding out the truth about Manmohan
• She felt that he was another Abhishek who used her for his own good
• She says that when she was at Ganga aarti, she takes the jal in her hand and asks Gangaji to give her the strength to find out and face the truth
• Rakhi is of the opinion that Manmohan did not take a stand for her and was instead enjoying the publicity that the media and the people of Rishikesh were giving him
• Rakhi talks about how after all that has happened, she would have liked to meet Anjali like she met the rest of his friends and put an end to her doubts
• She gives a message to Anjali - she says that how can she be with a guy who left her for Rakhi and then left Rakhi for her, who cannot accept her in front of the world, etc
• Rakhi talks about how she fell in love with him and then he cheated on her and broke her heart
• She also says that his family was more interested in her as a celebrity than as their bahu
