The hooliganism and looting and riots that occurred in London was a direct outcome of failed government policy and the withdrawal of many benefits. Just as Asian shops were looted so were many others. In every country Hooligans exist and need the ever so slightest shove to come forward and create trouble. These riots in itself DO NOT prove that English are racist. London is by far the most cosmopolitan city in Europe. While there and will always be certain sections of British society that will always remain racist (the less educated and less fortunate), most English are very courteous. My daughters class has 6.5 indians out of 17 children and we live in Central London! What the makers of this show should realise is it is not enough being a trendsetter by filming in London. You need to portray a realistic picture of how the people of this country are! I bet in all the days that the makers have been here they have not experienced racism even once! Infact I think white people are very very careful about being openly racist or sounding so because they can be sued. There are laws in place to prevent racism!
