Atleast Sanam 2 is not a pedophile. Coz each of her victims have independent thought process- they get to decide even if manipulated by her.
Infact Shad is doing to Jannat what Tanveer did to little Aahil...
I don't think he understands love-this Shad.

No he does not even know what "Love" is! Whatever this is is more like GREED! A need to own and possess someone! Not even as their "Real" self, but as a "Fake" self that you have given to them! It is highly creepy and honestly one for the books when it comes to predatory acts!

But this is SO cute, that people want this women to live with NO identity for the rest of her life, being fooled and conned into sleeping with this man! Like she is some "Doll" with no free will and no RIGHTS! I am honestly shocked and saddened by the way people approve of and white wash this man who is violating this women's trust and messing with her life in the most despicable way! I don't know how anyone can appreciate this behavior? It's so offensive and shocking!

@Minnie- great pointsšŸ‘
I did see Sanam's current plight as that of a trusting child being deceived by the person she trusts the most. But the makers, in their attempt make her innocent have made Jinnat come out stupid, silly, clingy, hormonal and off late hell annoying screeching creature, i can't relate.

I thought Shad would be shown acting little less selfishly after he realised his "love" but then he became even more selfish & possessive. Not love.
I want to compare this to Aahil's action, after Tanveers's death, he was repentant and if Sanam wanted to walk out then, he would have let her go ATM.she had to reach out & reassure him. That's love.

A married woman's life is still HER life, so is a single woman's life, her LIFE. If you are saying a single woman can have the option to forgive him and accept him--then so does a married woman, can say I found better fate has led me to this...etc etc.

Example. Some years back, I It is quite old. There was a story of some lost men or prisoners (not due to a crime but unfortunate and mistakenly crossing of border I think) released. One of those men's wives had married again because he was presumed dead.

Newspapers carried pictures of her greeting him with a tearful and emotional embrace. When the question of her marriage came up, I believe she from the start said she would remain in her current marriage.

She reacted to her circumstances, he was presumed dead, maybe declared dead, don't know. Is she obliged to go back to the first husband?

(By the way, this was in India.)

Same way, there is nothing to say a married woman cannot react to her circumstances with Shaad in the same way you would excuse a single woman to react. If circumstances make it okay for a single woman to accept her circumstances and allow him to be her husband, so can the married woman do the same thing...accept and choose this life which circumstances have conspired to live a married life with another man.

Of course the difference here is, that in the real life situation, where neither the woman's second husband was lying, deceiving and committing fraud--and the woman woman married the second time of her own choice.

Shaad's actions are not hinged on the female being married. In fact, I find it quite sexist, to be honest. A violation of a woman is still a violation of a woman. A woman being single does not make it any less worse or any less a violation. A woman is also still an individual and has the right to make decisions and choices regarding the marriage and her married life. What Shaad is doing is wrong no matter what--and married status is only another factor which goes into it, but not the main factor. A married woman may have a husband who is also suffering, but a single girl (unless she has no family) has a family who suffers. A single girl also has family that will be affected and be outraged and would not approve afterwards if she chooses to stay with a man who did this to her.

Her non-single status factors in because that is another aspect Shaad knew, but chose to ignore and not bother with. But it is not the main factor.

The way he's behaving, what he's doing--every complaint I and others have made still stands regarding him, married or single woman.

Hmm..KK, I do remember that piece of News.

All I am saying is, it is at lesat justifiable if the girl is single- BECAUSE SHE IS NOT FORCED TO COMMIT ADULTERY THEN.

This is so horrible because he knows she has someone waiting for her...and it all becomes adultery!🤢

He is doing it knowingly, and forcing her on to it..(Though he may not realise the gravity of his actions.)

With a single girl, it would have been playing with her honour...but at least there is a future to the couple...She can very well decide to spend the rest of her life with him...in this case that easy way out is not going to be there!

Rehaan vs Shad- as usual I arrive late... when everything I wanted to say has already been said, in better words off course.

I wouldn't compare the 2 coz Rehan fell for a real girl and Shad has fallen for a non-existing entity..
the fact that Shaad's non existing entity is actually a different person in flesh and blood and feelings only complicates it.
Rehaan was a lot more grounded, realistic person. Infact more that Aahil, Seher and perhaps his only competition to realism was with Sanam... they were both very grounded.
I had my issues with regards to his dishonesty towards Aahil- where he did not warn him against his ammi's manilpulations. But Aahil still had a proper functioning brain, eyes and heart to make decisions, etc. So we can assume Rehan turned a little selfish and decided to let Aahil fend for himself against Ammi's chaals..
Huh.. I can't believe how I deviate from topic.. disgusting.🤢.
So , would Rehaan have taken chances if before meeting Seher, Sahil had divorced?..Absolutely.
But he would do that for a real person..
In terms of unrequited love also these 2 guys cannot be compared. Shaad's creation is actually reciprocating his love... He touches her, hugs her, ... in fact if he were to make love to her, she would...
But then that woman even with the soul of Sanam will be still not Sanam...
Unlike most, my issue with Shad is less about romancing another man's wife, but romancing someone not in senses.
It is almost like a gali ka goonda taking advantage of a knocked out girl...
With Rehan, I never said "How dare you...?"
With Shad it will always be " How dare you touch a woman out of her senses...? " Sanam has shown no confusion regarding marriage authenticity. Which means he sleeps there on that same bed and has been doing for quite some time... His actions are becoming creepier by the day.
Do we recall how Haya used to cringe at slightest touch from Faiz? If Sanam were in her sense she would do the same.
I might have connected to this guy if he had come clean.. and Jannat after trying hard to recall, could not and decided to move on with this guy... free will is the underlying requirement.
So right now, Rehan cannot be compared to Shaad... by even long shot... Rehan was white, they a light shade of grey and then again white.
Shad can be either a criminal or an unhinged bloke.. either ways not good enough for Sanam. even as a rejected Aashique. I don't want to spoil her queue- JuhišŸ˜†

That is a beautiful write up.šŸ‘

So, apart from misleading a woman not in her senses and taking advantage of her, he is also encouraging her to commit adultery. And all this is because he has no idea how a woman's brain works.

It is like a rapist's mind- sorry to sound so harsh- He feels a woman is his to take...that she doesn't have a choice.

And somehow they will still try to justify it!

I feel...

Sometimes we just don't realise how wrong our actions are turning out morally...until U have travelled quite far...By then U have committed the crime and can only repent.šŸ¤”

^^ but then Soup- why are you trying to compare Rehan's love to this guy's whatever obsession/madness...šŸ˜•..

Oh and how insulting this Jannat is to woman hood... give her something intelligent to do like browse through old photo albums?
I think it was KK or SA who said Shaad is not telling the truth about them being fake Hubby-wifey because makers are scared to allow a woman a freedom of choice with regards to moving on...
Will the audience accept a heroine who willfully chooses to move on after trying hard to remember her past life or will they accept a heroine who is a dumb airheadšŸ˜•
More than that I think it is their inability to show Shad and Jannat have a platonic camaraderie before he falls for her..šŸ˜•

@Soup:
I am getting fed up of these makers trying to make it look like Shaad cant see the "gravity" of his actions! Is he a "slow child?" LOL. If he CANT see what harm he is doing, well then I don't know if he has the ability to think at all! He has no justification for his actions anymore, other than his own selfishness! But I agree with many here, this is NOT love. Not even close! Love does not "Bind" and "Imprison". True love sets you "Free!".

IF he really loved her, he would let her go. If she was ever going to be his, she would find a way back. But she is NOT his! Her heart belongs to another man and he KNOWS it! Also, Aahil knew he had wronged Sanam after Taveer fall and I honestly think if she said she wanted to walk out, he would have let her. Maybe hoping she would come back when she wanted to! But she loved him too much to walk away! So she stayed.

Even today, if he thought she "chose" someone else, he would let her go! THAT is true love. Not this "entrapment" we are currently witnessing! Anyway, Sanam belongs to Aahil and she WILL come back to him! This Jinnat cant disappear fast enough for me. She is screechy and downright weird!

Minnie,

I compared...

To get some kind of positive feedback on Shaad.
Sadly, no one has been able to give me that.

Wish at least the Shaad shippers could tell me how they justify him..That they have not, must mean they have no answer.

I compared to get this very outcome- Know that Rehaan deserved Sanam in many ways...yet he didn't get her...Shaad doesn't even deserve her...yet people don't mind rooting for him.

If Shaad finds his true love elsewhere, how is any one going to justify him?- Are they going to simply say he moved on?

I suppose so.šŸ˜†

And Minnie,
Why don't they let them be?- I asked that Q some time back.

It is not that they don't want the heroine tainted..They want platonic love glorified...She was cheated...not just by fate, but also circumstances thereafter.

For eg. Ahil means Jannat. Something has to keep him from knowing she is actually Sanam. Probably Shaad would...some other majboori or he could decide for himself that Ahil has Sanam 2, so he can have Sanam.🄱 šŸ˜†

Mandy,

I really hope this is not love.

I really hope the makers have enough sense to tell us it is not- just like they told us with Faiz...Though not in the same way...

I would love to see him move on with his true love.šŸ˜³šŸ˜‰ Because that proves he never loved Jannat...was just addicted to his idea of 'love'. There is a great story to be told there...They really could.😳

So, since the story is at a standstill🄱, I felt like studying this concept of love.😊

This idea suddenly came to me when I thought of Shaad...and then Rehaan.

I thought it'd be worth it to study them both wrt their feelings for Sanam...And hopefully come to a conclusion ...Of course, when it comes to love, there is no comparison...So I feel like just putting down my thoughts and hopefully get some inputs from here. (And I do mean NO BUTCHERING COMMENTS please😳...would be really grateful if anyone could contribute from Shaad's or Rehaan's POV. Not including Ahil because it wouldn't be an unbiased discussion..plus...Sanam reciprocates Ahil's feelings , so that'd be really unfair too.)

So this is about Ek Haseena and Do Deewane.

A haseena who is unaware of what her deewane felt for her, perhaps...or perhaps we will know as the story progresses...

Rehaan: He is the one who deserved Sanam's love, by all means. If one can actually deserve love...IMO, love is unconditional and therefore no one needs to deserve it...It is freely given according to the giver's wish...and by that logic, Sanam deserves all the love she can get from anyone and everyone...and she can choose who she wants to give her heart to.

Getting back to Rehaan...He is the one who actually got the blessings from Badi Ammi...THE ONLY ONE...and by all means, he is the one who should have married Sanam. He stood with her through thick and thin...bought a ring with the intention of marrying her...and finally left his house because he couldn't take it that his true love was wrested away from him. Up till there, Rehaan's love story was perfect. He gave up his love for his brother...or because he could not overrule his powerful Ammi...whatever...it remains that he could never proclaim his love to Sanam. Is that love to be mourned? Or does it die because he did fall for someone else and decided to move on?

Pehla Pyar- First Love-

"Maybe not," she said as we came to the car. "But maybe that isn't so bad. You can't love anyone that way more than once in a lifetime. It's too hard and it hurts too much when it ends. The first boy is always the hardest to get over, Haven. It's just the way the world works."
Sarah Dessen, That Summer

"No, this trick won't work... How on earth are you ever going to explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? "
Albert Einstein

Is this what Sanam was to Rehaan? Or did he move on too quickly?

Shaad: A child wedded to the Army- A boy who swore never to let a woman come in the path of his profession - or not allow his duty not being able to do justice to a wife...He fell in love...at first sight.

Quite unlike Rehaan, actually. He knew nothing about Jannat/ Sanam- save that she had a beautiful smile and an innocent soul...and he just allowed himself to fall head over heels- unheeding the consequences, disregarding the implications to her future...Is his love selfish? If so, was not Rehaan's too? Did they both not love her not knowing what her choices are?

But...Does that make their First love insignificant?

And ...Is Shaad's First love his only love? Does this first love lose its sheen if he ever moves on?

"True love, like any other strong and addicting drug, is boring " once the tale of encounter and discovery is told, kisses quickly grow stale and caresses tiresome... except, of course, to those who share the kisses, who give and take the caresses while every sound and color of the world seems to deepen and brighten around them. As with any other strong drug, true first love is really only interesting to those who have become its prisoners.
And, as is true of any other strong and addicting drug, true first love is dangerous."
Stephen King, Wizard and Glass

These are just some thoughts...

šŸ¤”

Would really love some comments...really hoping there will be no judging here.😳

you have written about ppela pyar.
Rehan-He was an impartial guy.whenever Sanam ranted to him about jallad jinn,he would tell her that Ahil was'nt bad his upbringing was.He was faithful to Ahil.He fell for Sanam as he considered himself an employee and Sanam was also an employee. He was impressed when Sanam saved Badi begum from snake and praised her for it.he was serious about the relationship.only he did'nt confess to Sanam and talked to Dilshad first,He had dilshad's blessings When dilshad was called to IM she was thinking about Rehan and got a rude shock when Dilsahd proposed Ahil's name.Rehan was a simple person and was contented. He was'nt after riches. He wanted to marrry Sanam and bought an engagement ring after Ahil's nikah was decided.I loved that kahania humey chunti hain scene between Ahil and Rehan.
When Sanam got married to Ahil he was bitter and angry.Tanveer played upon his feelings by telling him that nikah would be over in 3 months. Then he realized that Sanam did'nt love him she considered him as someone to whom she could speak freely. On EID he got Sanam bangles, but when Ahil was angry at him he left home.He met seher. He called Sanam and checked with her and knew this was a different girl .He fell for her bcoz she as identical in loksbut he found himself comparing the two.Seher was'nt like Sanam still he fel for her.Sanam remained a close friend til the end.
Shaad-He just came across jannat.she is a pretty face for him and he told a lie to save her but she stuck herself eith him.saying that she does'nt remember anything.
Shaad does'nt know anything about her and has fallen for her
