When QH1 happened it was ASAD who I used to bash for his preconceived notion and being a complete MCP. I felt more than Billi Asad was guilty for Zoyas torture by that cat since he was blinded in his faith for completely covered tehzeeb e afta women . He never believed anything against Billi and he did suffer a lot till his last breath. Most of us bashed him left and right all the time and never gave him any privilege for being a man or an eye candy.
Why should it be different for Sunheri? If we have to sympathize her we should have done the same with Billi as well. So far where's the difference? Both are planted by Razia into someone else's house to ruin their happiness.Where Billi came to spy on ASAD and find some stuffs for Razia , sunheri actually replaced another woman who happens to be her lookalike. Sunheris agenda is similar to Billis . She must know that her lookslike have been harmed somehow and kept away from her family while she is living her life and even conning her husband. Sorry but her being heartbroken by Rehan doesn't count. She decided to keep Rehan oblivious to her past and it backfired on her. Now Just because Rehan won't accept her , she can't decide to break another couple so much in love with each other for her greed. If we accept and understand her reasons then we should have done the same with Bilii as well. Billi was rejected by ASAD and became dangerous . Here Sunheri got rejected by Rehan and ruining people's lives. Where's the difference? None of us supported Billi ever or try to see her POV ever? If Sunheri had no one to care for her , we never saw anyone caring for Billi as well. She might have come from a harsh situation as well but none of us were sympathetic to her. EVER. She even had a stone eye and often got mocked by people around her for that . If I remenber correctly no one ever supported her . Sunheri is actually aiding to a kidnapping and conning as well. She is a criminal and there's no bad or good crime in the court of law. Kidnapping and keeping someone captive while playing her entire family is no way better than killing somebody.
So far there's no difference between Billi and
Sunheri . However IF she still grows conscience and helps finding Sanam then ofcourse she will be different from Billi. Billi was unable to get control over her greed and I really hope Sunheri would. Otherwise IMO no amount of redemption would be good for her.
I know she will be forgiven by her lost family and Ofcourse Sanam but I hope she gets the chance to redeem herself only after getting her share of punishment. Sorry but so far I fail to sympathize with a woman like her.

I agree with the Billi and Seher similarity. I was intially very intrigued about her whereabouts and family background and all that she had been through. Also that evil white eye! (Whatever happened to that though) but then they made Tanveer a complete psychopath with the things she started doing. For example marrying Gaffur. *shudders*
Everyone is deserving of redemption though and about breaking up a couple she isn't doing that exactly. (I hope) I'm sure her conscience/love will wake up by the time of the Nikkah.

Well victims of the world do become the criminals. It's the frustration and jealousy of the people who have everything that causes this.

Good point. As a viewer I know what she is doing to her sister& bil and that adds to my bias.
She is reckless in taking over another woman's life and family. I'm not bothered about how she became a criminal, am only judging her current actions which she is doing willingly, due to her greed&recklessness
Yes,still will judge her or a man in her place similarly.
Serial killers often have troubled childhood, it doesn't justify their actions in taking other lifes.

Ofcourse i would've bash him too ..i remember ,how i had bash iqbal of nadaan parindey ..he too was a twin of sameer (main hero) and done the same thing which seher is doing now 😕 so i don't think its matter if seher was a boy or girl...every character get bashed when people see something wrong in him/her so why not sunheri?
Ahil was bashed too when he was a jerk ..when he has burn sanam's dabba and when he made fun of sanam infront of his friends .I guess he too was bashed like hell so why Not sunehri ?
and sunhehri deserved to be bashed .. just becoz she is heart broken she is ruining 2 more lifes?why ?if rehaan was so important in her life she must have reedeemed herself or had beg rehaan for forgiveness but no she will never see her mistakes ..only want everyone (Rehaan)to forgive her 🤔
And why rehaan should forgive her or remember her ..did she even try to explain rehaan or ask any forgiveness ?No she didn't !!
So this shows how mean and selfish she is ..she only think of her money and her broken heart ..that's it
And people are saying she is grey so why expect good things from her ?
My question is if she is grey then why people should not bash her?every grey character is bashed so sunheri too will get bashed
🤔

The reason we were watching the show is because we want to watch Sanam and Aahil story which has been going on for 6 months. This show is about us wanting to watch the pair we like. Every bad person will have a story that he/she can defend that does not mean they are innocent. Are we defending her because she is ASYA's daughter or she loves Rehan? A criminal is a criminal no matter what, man or women. Sehar should have used her conscience to judge herself before taking this job. She is not an innocent here. If she is hurt, she has not right to spoil somebody's life when she has already witnessed Aahil's love for Sanam. I find her selfish and has no empathy towards others feelings.

Well the greed and recklessness stems from her background issues. I don't understand why people are surprised though, she's a conwoman that's what they do. Who knows? She may lay down her own life to save someone else's? Redemption works wonders.

@BoldThat is where the gender stuff comes in, grey shaded Y chromosomes don't get bashed as much, even if they end up doing things like that. People like bad boys so they are always justified somehow.

Excellent post Mandy. One of the very best.👏

Seher has grown up among thieves. She has learnt conning and stealing. To unlearn something that we have grown up with is not easy.
She took a step, when she fell in love.
When she lost Rehaan's love, she went back to her conning ways.
Again, seeing Rehaan in the house, she began hoping, and conscience awakened a bit.
The small flicker of hope with Rehaan was again crushed. So, back to conning, this time for a higher stake.

And you know what, I felt the scene where Ahil proposed Nikaah to Sunehri was left incomplete. Maybe its not what meets the eye. I have a feeling AHil and Sunehri teamed up to frame Razia.

Coming to your question - If Sunehri was a man, would she be judged less harshly.
Generally, society sets higher stds for women than men. WOmen are expected to grow up quickly, have loads of patience, have more moral values than men. So, for a same act by a man and women, the women in condemned more harshly. I am not talking about the law, the general perception of people. So. yes, if she was a man, she would be judged less harshly.

I am not in this discussion (prefer to stay out). But I would like to make one comment, which is that Aahil was never grey shaded. So any comparison of Aahil with Seher is baseless (not talking about you Mandy).

You seem to be under a misunderstanding. The show is not about Saahil and their lovestory. The show is about the sisters, Haya included. Their life story with ups and down. So their lovestory sometimes is precedence and sometimes not. Life is not always romance and love.

Seher is also not innocent but she is not as bad as Billi and beyond redemption either. It's like comparing Voldemort or Bellatrix to a thief. The difference between the two is that great in my opinion. and people are not defending her because she is Asya's daughter but because they understand her background. Even the most evil of the evil can be redeemed..even Voldemort was given the chance but he refused. Seher did want to and almost did redeem herself but circumstances made her go back to her past ways. Neither is she selfish and with no empathy. If she was she wouldn't have tried to spare Ahil's feelings and kept avoiding him. Her conscience wouldn't have niggled at her when Ahil tried to be close to his wife. It's narrow minded to be so closed off in a couples love that you can't even try to understand another person and their circumstances.
