Ha! Finally, I've managed to watch it all and can comment on the magic that is Saahil..
Gul Khan and 4 lions - you hate them or you love them, but gotta agree that they beautify love like none other..
I've been a follower since Geet and have felt the transition.. Likr someone mentioned, Geet had a lot of sexual tension, and perhaps less emotional connect than the others.. for me personally, it had the weakest plot amongst all.. Nonetheless DD and Gurmeet's crackling chemistry kinda overshadowed the rest..
Then came along IPK and I was swept off my feet.. I thought she had hit a jackpot, with ASR and KKG, and wasn't disappointed.. Although it started off as a love-hate story, the obvious signs of attraction were always there.. who can ever forget the first rabba ve! But, these two bonded on an emotional level, way before they accepted that they were in love.. Remember Nainital and Rakhi day..
And then with the almost kiss and farq padta hai tracks, we fell head over heels in love, but so did they.. .. it was the story of how she turned him into a believer from a staunch non believer, embraced his vulnerabilities and made him a man he was proud of, khushi's Arnavji.. ❤️ to those who say, IPK was about ArHi's sexual tension, I beg to differ..
Have u watched Arnav's silent realisation of love, the star scene, heer ranjha, or the rose garden scene towards the end, you'll know what I mean.. in my opinion, this tale was a perfect blend of opposites attract, and the cliched dil ka rishta..
AsYa.. it wasn't love at first sight for Asad, I feel but perhaps he was just mesmerized by her beauty.. and who wouldn't be, for she looked absolutely divine and right out of a fairytale... the friction was always there, coz they both came from different backgrounds, were strong individuals with their own set of beliefs and insecurities, loved to challenge each other; And yet soo incomplete without the other..
he was only her protector at first, Mangalpuriya Asad.. and Jo bheji thu dua at the wrong grave.. ❤️.. Falling in love and the acceptance was a gradual procees and oh so sweet and spicy.. 😆
There were some bits that left a bad taste in my mouth, esp. Dilshad's sudden acceptance of rashid, Jaanu and the lame attempt at zoyaan, but by the end of it, Gul had created yet another surreal romance, which had everything the previous two had, and yet was different and adorable in its own way..
of course, their end was tragic, but unavoidable i'd say.. but yes, I agree with the one who said she didn't utilize AsYa to her potential.. Sigh!
But.. Now, when I am still grieving and venting out over the unfair end and stepmotherly treatment of Arjun, she has drawn me back to QH 2..
although, initially it was the revenge plot itself that lured me, but Saahil make me realise that I am after all a hopeless romantic at heart.. 🤪 Saahil.. ❤️
Sanam, I feel is the most toned down version of all previous 4 lions leads. She's fiesty and strong headed in her own way, perhaps like her mother and has her father's maturity and tehzeeb..
considering it was SJ playing her, she had to be a superhit.. she has finally manged to seggregate Zoya, Sanam and Seher which is no mean feat! but KVB aka Aahil Miya was the suprise packet for me.. when a cassanova, a child haunted by his past, a man who pretends to be cold and ruthless, a prince with name and fame, falls for a mere caretaker, a girl who is practically no one, I knew I was doomed..
Their story is soo similar to the others, but the subtlety and Gul's attempts to undo all mistakes made in the past, coupled with Saahil's passionate eyelocks, feigned denial of love, and emotional connect makes Saahil, one of the best romances ever seen on TV..
I know as a viewer, who has been let down several times in the past by this very PH, I shouldn't be keeping my hopes high but Saahil have turned me into a fangirl all over again and there's nothing I can do to stop it..
So, to answer the TM's post, my opinions haven't changed and neither have the PH..It's just that they're evolving and undoing their shortcomings from the past with cautious finesse and calculated baby steps.
QH 2 is about tying loose ends, not just from season 1, but all of their previous unfinished tracks which unfortunately were hasty, forgotten or had to be shelved due to reasons beyond their control..
Or that's just how I feel.. 😊
Love,
Avantika..
