thats because man has been declared superior. n unfortunately Men misuse it... they know how to take their rights but coming to fulfilling the duties they tend to ignore so many sayings... but yeah that varies from culture to culture

@ Bold: In the Qur'an, it says that no gender is superior over the other. It instead says, that men are one degree higher than women in terms of responsibility, which means that they are physically stronger, so they have the responsibility of protecting the women. That means, when they see a woman at the verge of being molested or teased, they should not be silent spectators, because the only reason they have been made stronger is so that they may guard the women from predatory men. They are by no means SUPERIOR TO WOMEN and are not ALLOWED to abuse this strength that has been bestowed upon them. Qur'an also says that men have an advantage over women when it comes to inheritance of the property of their respective parents. This means that men get double of what a woman gets and a woman's share will be half of the man's, because when she is a daughter, she has rights over her father's income (i.e. the father provides for her, but that doesn't mean she isn't allowed to work...she can choose to do so but only if she wants to), when she is a wife, she has rights over her husband's income (but her husband has no rights over her income, if she is earning, and he has no rights over the property she has inherited and if she has inherited property, then it is ONLY for her to keep...her husband has no right to take that either), and when she is a mother, she becomes the responsibility of her son (again she is allowed to be independent, and earn but it can happen only if she chooses to...if she has no sons, then her daughter, if she is earning can provide for her, and the daughter's husband has no right to stop her from providing for her mother). Since the women have so many sources of income and has rights on her father, husband, sons' and her own income, she gets half of what her brother or any male member would inherit. Since a man can't keep any income for himself and must spend everything on the family before spending for himself, and since women have the right to keep all sorts of income to herself, including her own income, that is why to safeguard the men's rights and financial security, Islam has given them the permission to inherit more than the female members of their respective families. This permission by no means is a sign of superiority over the opposite gender and neither is this a sign of inferiority or lower status for the females. It is a permission that has been granted to men so that they may be given some compensation in exchange of the rights and facilities that are granted to women. The Qur'an also says that men have been created such that they are impatient whereas women by nature are more patient. Therefore, if you look at it, you will come to observe that one gender is physically stronger while the other one is stronger in terms of patience and perseverance.
As far as superiority is concerned, a human being whether male or female can be superior in the eyes of Allah only by doing good deeds, becoming more conscious of Allah's presence, believing in the five pillars of Islam, offering prayers, giving charity, guarding their modesty, taking care of the parents in old age and refraining from using language that is profane by nature or engaging in ill conduct. Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) did not indulge in loose talk nor did he like to listen to it. He used to say, "The best of you is the best among you in conduct.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Therefore, superiority status can be achieved by either male or female...no gender is superior over the other. 😊 Women and men get the same reward for doing good deeds and similarly, the penalty for both is going to be the same when they commit major sins such as adultery and fornication. This proves women and men are equal in Islam in terms of status. It is just that physically, they are not mirror images of one another which is why men are a degree higher than women (in terms of responsibility...i.e. the responsibilities such as protecting them and providing for them). Allah has made it compulsory for men to earn and the same thing has been made optional for women is because if it had been made compulsory for women to earn, then many men would abuse their wives to send them to work while they would enjoy at home. Thus, the women would end up bearing children, nursing them, doing chores, earning, and providing for the family, while the men would have nothing to do. This is why earning is compulsory for men and a matter of choice for women. 😊 The role of men as breadwinners has nothing to do with them being superior over women. The superiority of a human being whether male or female is closely associated with the sincerity with which he/she worships Allah and how much he practices the religion in order to establish righteousness. 😊

TBH this post was needed, I was really invested in QH1 myself hell i even watched through the ZoYaan track but what always ticked me off or left a bad taste in my mouth there were no continuation scenes at all, There were a lot times where Asad did loathe himself for what he said to Zoya but most of the times there wasnt, it was just blown out the window just like that.

a definite apology is needed loathing isnt enough for Aahil and Sanam, sorry but i dont want her to fall in love with him and all that he did to her just vanishes in thin air, he needs to amend, he needs redeems and he needs to make up. I began watchin QH2 again solely for Surbhi, shes a fantastic actress and when witnessed one of her current scenes i had to watch.

What i really dont like is the constant putting down of Sanam and her self esteem, forcing her to hate you Aahil isnt going to do you any good for when shes hating on you, you get hurt more.

Just cause shes the wife shes obliged to nod if the husband nods, no religion allows that, a wife has equal say as the husband.

I had wished that there wouldnt be any degrading of Sanam but there is and i will really quit for good if Sanam just falls in love and Aahil doesnt apologize for his ridiculous behavior.

LOL i dont even think i made sense

@Bold: Hats off!!👏Marriage is indeed a two way street in most of the major religions of the world including Islam. Both must abide by the marriage contract.👏
@underlined: Totally agree!! Aahil's cute expressions and good looks can NEVER compensate for the blunders he has done unless he delivers an official apology to Sanam with utmost sincerity. Very well said! Once again hats off to you buddy!👏

LOL thank you.

See there were so many issues with the characters in QH1, im not saying everyone is perfect in real life but people in real life dont forgive others till those people have amended their mistakes perfectly, but in so many cases everyone expected so much from AsYa and got nothing. I am not talking about the religion here so dont jump on me, its a show, the religion shown aint gonna be perfect anyway.

Exactly, why does the girl always have to keep her mouth shut, just cause of her social status that always keeps her mouth sown? BUt yet shes portrayed to be a strong independent woman, wheres that in dependency when needed? thats my biggest question, why does SHE always have to keep quiet and the male either finds out the truth from somewhere else or its never gets brought up again? Fine he wont believe you but hey at least try.

What looks and what traits? All that goes down the drain crushed up as soon as he man handles her and reminds her that its a contract marriage? Just realizing your mistakes Aahil wont get sanams love at least not for me, theres so much he has to do before that.

Thank you. I just feel like so much gets shown yet its never ended properly. and Yes IK its just a show solely for entertainment, but TBH at the end of the day this entertainment does influence people.

Damn right! Aahil has no right to insult her like that, and i really hope sanam doesn't just stand there and take it but gives him a kharara jawaab. I don't to see her as some bichaari, because so far, sanam has been been shown as a strong girl who doesn't take anyone's crap lying down, and i really hope it continues that way.

👏Once again very well said!!👏The scenario reminds me of Arnav and Khushi where Khushi fell for him before his redemption track began. Later, Arnav gave her many gifts and khushi just got carried away. There was never a scene where Arnav clarified before the entire family that he was the one who forced Khushi for the contract marriage while everyone kept punching khushi left right centre like she was some punching bag. in those days, many forum members used to defend Arnav in spite of his abusive behaviour just because they had the hots for him. I don't want the same to happen here. I honestly don't find anything lovable or romantic or justifiable when such chauvinistic behaviour is shown by the male lead. Therefore, I really wish Aahil sincerely apologizes instead of showering her with gifts and expecting her to forget the grudges. On many occasions, Aahil misbehaved with Rehan (when Rehan used to be concerned for his seizures due to the traumatic experiences of his childhood) and then later gifted him something so that he would forget. However, within a few days Aahil would revert to being a meannie to Rehan and then pat Rehan on the shoulder saying, "O Rehan miyaa!!"
Anyways, I just want Sanam's presence to create an impact such that he comes to realize that most of the time gifts and sugar-coated words can be outweighed by a sincere apology that comes straight from the heart. Sometimes you just have to mean what you say and say what you mean. 😛
@Bold: Totally agree. I second that. If Sanam being a cook in the mansion can stand up and advice a stranger like Nida about behavioural ethics, then why can't she stand up for herself and give Aahil the long awaited reality check?😃

Ditto. Honestly, I feel quite sorry for Rehan, he has always been genuine in his feeling (um.. keeping the son thing aside). Plus, he knows, or at least thinks, that Sanam and Aahil dislike each other immensely and are in the marriage just for the sake of the waseehat. and their majboori. He has been told its a sham which will end in 3 months and he has seen Sanam being disrespected, so why, oh why shall he respect the marriage when the people involved do not. Specially Aahil.
Oh and I totally agree. Aahil needs to redeem himself before SaHil's relationship goes furthur and for Sanam to reciprocate her feelings. I'm hoping they will not repeat the mistakes from the first season and try to learn from them in QH2.
I am thoroughly enjoying for now but.

p.s i want to add one thing having right on ur wife doesnt mean that u hv to ill treat her or insult her... but being a husband if somebody touches his wife n he wont feel bad about it then there is certainly a problem with his mardaangi 😛

Hold p there girl. from what century did you jump from? girl is not a property of her parents or her husband. yes Sanem has rights and responsibilities that she has to follow as a wife, same as Ahil as a husband in return. i know your intentions are not bad, but your comment is sending the wrong message.

well cvs are just trying to show how aahil is in reality. he always wants to show that he IS a player and a bad boy and can never be anything beyond that. it is only to sanam in person has he showed his real side. in front of hos friends he just lived up to his fake image. being a feminist myself i felt like giving aahil good and hope that he gives a good public apology and sanam doesn't tolerate such nonsense. aahil is one character we hate and love at the same time. good they made the transition to a good boy much more realistic. and i think it was ego that made him react than his doubts on rehan's intentions.
Good post!!
