"Prasad, this is a really important meeting. You know that more than anyone. I want you take care of every little detail. I'll be there soon. Teek Hain. Bye" Asad threw the phone on the bed settling in front of the mirror and buttoning his shirt. He fixed his collar and then his tie. He quickly brushed his hair back and closed his eyes, he wasn't nervous, he was just slightly stressed. This was really important for his company, if he gets this deal, it would be one of his greatest achievements. He sighed and walked out of the room.

"Jaane log pyaar kyun karte hain... Hmmm lalalalala" Asad watched with wide eyes as she sang HIS bathroom song in his living room early in the morning. Zoya had her headphones in and twirled around the room with a duster in her hand. He pressed his forehead; she was damn crazy. That was his fiancee, fake fiancee he reminded himself before walking towards the dining table.

"Tamater coffee" Asad mumbled walking into the kitchen. Zoya's eyes fell on his back.

"Mr Khan!!" She squealed with excitement removing her headphones. She ran behind him, Asad didn't want to turn around hearing his name. He didn't want to know what havoc was waiting to entangle him today. He sat on his seat chanting peaceful words, while Zoya jumped up and down like a child next to him.

"What?!" He snapped not being able to take it any longer. Zoya froze; she frowned seeing his foul mood. She sniffed and turned around to go. Asad shook his head in a no; he didn't mean to be so rude. He stared at her back, his heart was about to break seeing her cry. Zoya walked away sadly, Asad felt bad for killing her happy mood. He got up from his seat.

"What happened Miss Farooqui?" Zoya turned around instantly, Asad sighed, that smile on her face always lightened up his heart. "What happened?" He repeated, he nodded Najma a thanks for the coffee.

"Mr Khan, could you please give me driving lessons?" She asked innocently coming closer to him.

"What?!" He asked shocked; this girl was definitely crazy.

"Miss Farooqui, don't you already know how to drive?" Asad hoped she miraculously did.

"No Mr Khan, I left my driving lessons incomplete when I came to India. I really want to drive, please?' She pouted innocently. Asad looked away, no he wasn't giving in.

"Miss Farooqui, I have better things to do than give you driving lessons. If you really want lessons, hire a professional who has time. Time that I don't have for nonsense like this" He looked at his watch. Zoya frowned hearing his reply.

"Please?" She whispered.

"Please Miss Farooqui. I have no time for all this nonsense!" Asad clapped his hand in front of her before holding his hands against his forehead. He grabbed his coffee and marched towards the bedroom leaving a heartbroken Zoya standing there sniffing. She really wanted to learn to drive, Asad wasn't too happy with her going out by taxi, the driver wasn't always free. She didn't want to bother him. This was for him. Zoya walked towards the sofa and fell back rubbing her hand under her nose. She wanted to cry. She stared at his door sadly.

"But I really want to drive MrKhan." Zoya whispered to herself.

Asad rushed out of the door with his briefcase. Zoya looked away; Asad stopped and stared at her back, He could never see her upset. Why doesn't this girl understand anything? Does she need to be hit with a hammer before anything starts making sense? Roads were dangerous in Bhopal, it's nothing civilised like American roads. He didn't mind driving her around, they also had the driver, why did she want to trouble herself? Asad was stressed as it is and then Miss Farooqui's outrageous wishes.

"It's not nonsense" He heard her whisper. Asad pressed his temples in frustration.

"Miss Farooqui you stay put while I'm away! I don't want you creating a ruckus on the roads of Bhopal today!" Asad spoke sternly behind her. Zoya shot up and turned around.

"But you just said I could take lessons with a professional?" She reminded sadly.

"So that you could kill him as well?" He spoke sarcastically. Zoya's nose flared at his mocking tone of voice.

"What is wrong with you Mr Khan? Don't you have any faith in me... your fiancee?" She asked him with her big eyes. Fake fiance fake fiance fake fiance... Zoya's mind chanted "Fake fiance" again and again but her heart knew it wasn't the truth. She considered this as real as it could get. There is no-one else in the world she would call her fiancee, but him; though it might still be fake, she cherished the relationship that bonded her with him. She was just hurt by the fact that he didn't care about her, or her wishes.

"Fake fiancee" Asad whispered. A lump formed in Zoya's throat, she didn't want to hear it from his mouth. Her heart stung each time she heard it. "Miss Farooqui, please, right now I have other priorities that need my attention, not your stupid wish to learn how to drive." He stared at her as she mouthed stupid,

"Priorities?" Zoya choked. Am I not his priority? Fake engagement she reminded herself, how could she have expected any real feelings? Any real attachments or responsibilities?

"Yes priorities. I don't need this stress Miss Farooqui, you need to learn to take care of yourself. Stop traumatizing us all with your lack of care for anything. I have an important business meeting; please try not do anything that would force me to lose this deal." Asad snapped at her. Why the hell was he saying all this?

"I can take care of myself!" Zoya told him.

"Good, we shouldn't have anything to worry about then" He turned around not being able to understand anything coming out of his mouth. Zoya blinked.

"Good I'm not your priority. You don't' have to worry about me; I can take care of myself. You go enjoy your meeting. I won't bother you. I AM your fake fiancee" Zoya shouted behind him. She knew Dilshad wasn't at home so she carried on shouting, "If anything happens to me, it will be my responsibility. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY!" Zoya ran forward and yelled behind him. Asad closed his eyes walking towards the SUV; he didn't want to turn around and fight. He wasn't thinking properly, he was worried he might say something he'll regret, something he'll definitely not mean. She panted watching him get into the SUV without glancing back, her anger subsided quickly and filled with hurt, she was hurt that he didn't consider her his responsibility.
Asad hit the steering wheel, the corner of his eyes still watching her near the door. He watched the change of emotions on her face; he knew she misunderstood his words. Damn this meeting, and damn his mixed feelings.

"Damn you Mr Khan for making me realise that this ring means nothing! Why is my heart not understanding, damn you heart" Zoya cried staring at the ring on her hand. They had gotten engaged twice, at the airport and at home on Dilshad's request. Zoya had accepted it with all her heart, Asad may have chanted it to be fake and she may have agreed with him for the sake of it, but this ring... it means something right? No it doesn't. Zoya fell on her bed feeling heart break inside of her.

"Zoya? Are you okay?" Tanveer entered her room; Zoya brushed away her peeking tears and looked up at her.

"I'm fine Tanveer, what's up?" Zoya tried to force a smile. Tanveer sat down next to her.

"I heard you wanted to learn how to drive?" She asked. Yeah with Mr Khan Zoya thought to herself.

"Yeah" Zoya mumbled.

"Great. I'll teach you" Tanveer offered, Zoya looked at her surprised. "It's pretty easy, it's like that game you play, need for speed. Easy Peasy" Tanveer said with eased expressions. "You can learn in no time and then show Jammy you can do it all by yourself" She smirked seeing the expressions on Zoya's face; it was too easy to manipulate her mind. Zoya thought this was the best thing to do; she needed to prove to Mr Khan that she can take her own responsibility. Though she did want him to teach her, there was something about him that always made her feel protected.

"OMG Tanveer, thank you so much" Zoya exclaimed. "I'll show Mr Khan" The naive Zoya agreed to Tanveer's offer to help her with her driving lessons.

"Great, shall we start today?" Tanveer smiled, Zoya nodded eagerly. "I'll just ask Kaka for the car" Tanveer got up and walked away grinning to herself.

"This presentation will take the life out of me" Najma spoke exhausted. She fixed the video recorder in place and sat in front of it. Zoya beamed from the corner of the room putting her thumbs up to signal her to go.
"Are you sure this will help Zoya-BHABIE!" Najma teased . Zoya blushed and then sighed sadly, see Mr Khan, Tamater wants me as her bhabie, why do you have to be so emotionally challenged?

"Tamater, please. This is my best idea yet, no second best. Listen to me, if you record your presentation and play it back to yourself, you'll know where you went wrong, if you missed eye contact, the speed of your speech etc. because I am clueless. I cannot help you, I can only give you opinions from what I see is right. You know what is expected of you. So stop worrying and GO!" Zoya smiled. Najma nodded and started presenting to Zoya.

"So..." Najma started with Zoya smiling at her, they had to do a few takes as Zoya's expressions were making Najma laugh. Zoya tried facing the other way but then Najma complained that she needed the "eyes" on her. Zoya finally gave up and picked up the camera staring into it.

"So Najma's attempts were not too great today. We will take a break for today and start tomorrow" Zoya reported into the camera, Najma giggled walking past her. "I, Zoya Farooqui will not give up until this presentation is perfect. I thought her speech was perfect, lacking the eye contact, think she hasn't fallen in love yet or else she would've perfected that with her daily eye locks" Najma turned around.

"And you have?" She retorted.

"I didn't say I have, but I know what erm, Tamater shut up. I'm reporting, stop ruining my few minutes of fame. I-"

"Zoya?" Dilshad called from downstairs.

"Phoopie, I'm coming!" Zoya shouted back before staring at the camera. "I'm gonna go for my driving test wahey, anyways, that's it for today folks, Zoya Farooqui, reporting from my phoopie's bedroom, for KHAN VILLA news!" Zoya winked placing the camera on the ledge near the passageway and running downstairs behind Najma.

Tanveer stepped out of her room and looked around her cautiously to see if anyone was in Dilshad's room. Feeling satisfied that no-one was in sight; she dialled a few numbers on her phone.

"Hello? It's me again. No no, plans have changed. I want a truck, yes a truck, you know them BIG CARS" She rolled her eyes, "Yes one of them." Tanveer smiled wickedly thinking about her perfect plan to get rid of Zoya.
"Why?" Tanveer repeated his question, "Because I want you to cause an accident! I'll keep you informed; you stay put where I asked you to. Yes, don't worry, you'll get your money" Tanveer hung up and sighed rubbing her hand over her belly,
"Jammy, you're all mine!" Tanveer grinned with excitement.

Asad stared at the board of directors in silence, their eyes focused on him waiting for him to speak. He felt his heart burn with an unknown sensation, he felt guilty for the way he spoke to her today. He didn't need to re-iterate for the hundredth time that this engagement was "fake" when his heart knew it was so very real. His heart knew it, his mind fails to consider it when he speaks to Zoya. She was right, he was so very emotionally challenged. Her words were still ringing in his ears.

"If anything happens to me, it will be my responsibility. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY!"

Asad pressed his forehead trying to concentrate on the meeting he was here for, the most important meeting of his life that would decide the future of his company. He was a very successful business, he had already reached new heights, but this deal would take him higher than anyone could ever reach. Asad looked back at the screen behind him, seeing a model picture of the car did something to him. He tried to ignore everything and concentrated on the words above it "Grade Project".

"Zoya, are you ready?" Tanveer held her bag and smiled at Zoya.

"Yes yes yes" Zoya jumped excitedly. "You go, I'll just grab my jacket!" Zoya told her. Tanveer nodded and walked out of the house. Zoya rushed inside her room and ran back out within seconds.

"Where are you going beta? Careful" Dilshad spoke from behind. Zoya spun on her feet and speeded towards Dilshad hugging her tight.
"Kya hua beta?"

"Phoopie, I'm going for my driving lesson." Zoya exclaimed. Dilshad looked at her worried.
"Tanveer is taking me. I'm so happy. Mr Akdu Ahmed Khan go do his meeting in peace, I will show him that I can do this without him. I gotta go, BYEEE!" Zoya ran out of the door before Dilshad could say anything. She was worried but seeing the excitement on her face melted her heart. She's never seen her so happy. This girl would go to any length to impress Asad thought Dilshad. Although she said she wanted to prove to him that she could do it without him, Dilshad knew the true meaning of her words. This was for him and for him only.

"So, Tanveer. Are you ready?" Zoya looked at her gripping the steering wheel.

"Zoya, you have taken a few lessons right?" Tanveer asked nervously wanting to be sure.

"Ofcourse!" Zoya dazzled her million dollar smile and started the engine. Tanveer prayed silently, sure she wanted Zoya dead, but she didn't want to die along with her. Zoya drove off while Tanveer clawed her seat in fear.

"Go straight Zoya and take the last left. The roads should be clearer down that way" Tanveer coughed out her words. Zoya raced down the road enjoying every moment of her time behind the wheel, who knew if she would be able to after Asad found out about her little secret. He loved Tanveer too much and would be worried about her safety. Zoya's eyes filled up, he didn't care about her and that hurt her more than she could imagine. He was tired of taking her responsibility... She didn't get into trouble knowingly now did she? Where did the lack of care come from, when did she traumatize him? It was her who had been traumatized in Mangalpur being buried dead and all, and it was her who had to fake chicken pox in front of the Immigration Officer. What if she really caught chicken pox?
"Zoya, stop stop stop." Tanveer flapped her hands. Zoya snapped out of her thoughts and screeched the car to a halt. She looked at Tanveer and nodded her head; kya hua?
"I really need a drink of water. I'll be right back" Tanveer opened the door,

"I'll come with you" Zoya told her.

"No, you go park up there" She pointed, "You tell me what you want?"

"Nothing, I'm fine. You go" Zoya smiled at her. Tanveer closed the door and walked away towards the shop. She watched as Zoya drove away towards an empty space to park her car.

"Okay, she's in place. She's parked towards the left though, please make it look like an accident, I cannot handle anymore headache." Tanveer pressed her forehead, she was still shaken by Zoya's driving and the way she zoned out behind the wheel. "How long, that's fantastic, hurry up. I really want to see this!" Tanveer walked towards the stall that was quite far away from the car and grabbed a bottle of water. She turned around and her eyes widened instantly. The truck was in the distance but there was someone walking towards Zoya's car.

Zoya looked up surprised finding Ayaan walking towards the car; she rolled her window down and waved at him.

"Rabart, what are you doing here?" Zoya asked with a smile on her face.

"Hey Mona, I should be asking you. Why are you parked here on such a deserted road? HEYHEY, I didn't know you could drive" He looked at her shocked.

"I can't, I'm learni-" Zoya's eyes widened seeing the truck coming towards them, "RABART HATOOO" Zoya pushed him out of the way through the glass window, Ayaan went flying across the road. He grunted hitting the ground and looked back in horror.

"MONAAA????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ayaan called from the top of his lungs watching the truck crash into the front of the car, he could hear Zoya's shrieks before he felt his ears go deaf. He watched with wide blurry eyes as the car rebounded from the hit of the truck and spun against a tree. Everything slowed down in front of his eyes, his heart stopped beating. "MONAAA" He jumped up onto his feet and ran towards the crushed car, everything still deaf to his ears, even his own voice. His heart was failing him too. He yanked the car door and held her face in his hands; blood was dripping from the side of her forehead. He removed the seatbelt and picked her lifeless body into his arms taking her away from the accident. Her hands dangled beside her as he carried her towards the other side of the pavement and sat down, he felt numb holding her in his arms.
"Somebody call an ambulance, my babhie is hurt" Ayaan cried looked up at the gawking crowd, they tried to comfort him but he didn't feel anything. He stared at his bike and cursed himself for being so stupid, he should've brought his car. He looked at her face again, "Bhabie, please stay with me. For bhaijaan's sake..."He whispered.

"Let's take a break ladies and gentleman. We'll go through the figures and the charts in a just a moment" Asad nodded his head towards Prasad who turned the projector off and put the lights on. The sharp light almost blinded Asad, he held his hand on his heart instantly. The burning sensation was killing him, he didn't quite understand what it was that was hurting and bothering him so much. He walked over towards the window and stared out of it, he pushed it open to allow the fresh breeze to comfort him. But he felt no such thing as the air brushed past him, the air around him felt different today, he didn't know how, he didn't know why. He turned around and blinked at Prasad who was asking him to carry on with the meeting. He felt his phone vibrate uncontrollably in his pocket, like a fish when it is out of water. He didn't know why but he wanted to take the call, he sensed urgency. He looked at the caller ID and sighed, it was just Ayaan who was going to have another rant about him missing the engagement. He didn't need this distraction right now. He placed the phone on the table in front of him before looking up at everyone. The phone rang again and again, one ring after another.

"Right gentleman, shall we-" He looked at his phone. He grabbed it not being able to take it any longer, "Ayaan not now!" Asad whisper yelled looking apologetically at everyone.

"Bhaijaan bhabie..." Ayaan cried. Asad's throat went dry.

"What happened to your bhabie?" Asad asked his breathing suddenly going heavy.

"Bhabie met with an accident!" Ayaan told him. Asad held his breath holding the phone against his ears, his eyes widened in horror. Zoya met with an accident. He froze staring at the board members.

"Is everything okay with your wife Mr Khan?" One person got up and asked as they were all listening to his conversation. His face had gone pale, they weren't quite sure he was still with them or not.

"My wife met with an accident!" Asad replied, his hands fell to his side before his feet stepped forward breaking into a run. He pulled the door open and rushed out of the board room, he ran as fast as his legs could carry him, he felt like his life was slipping out his hands.
"Nothing will happen to you Zoya..." He chanted over and over again jumping into his car. His heart clawed inside of him, his breathing shortened. Asad felt weak as he drove like a mad man unable to grasp that Zoya had met with an accident. "Nothing WILL happen to her, she is fine she is fine she is fine" Asad pulled at his hair in frustration, beeping at every car that slowed him down.

The car halted in front of the hospital, Asad leaped out of it and ran into the hospital not knowing whether he had locked his doors or not, that was the least of his worries right now. He hammered the reception table staring at the nurse with wide eyes, his hair was in a mess from all the pulling and he was sweating profusely.

"Can I help you sir?" The nurse asked worriedly.

"Zoya..." The desperate tone in his voice was noticed by the nurse, she nodded at him trying to calm him down.

"2nd floor, she's still in the operating theatre" She couldn't complete her sentence; Asad had rushed off when he heard where she was. He didn't want to know how she was; he wanted to see her for himself.
His eyes caught Ayaan's distressed state who was marching from one side of the corridor to another, Asad paced towards him, almost slipping on the hospital floor.

"AYAAAN?!!!" Asad reached his shoulders and grabbed him before shaking him with force, "Where's my Zoya?" He demanded. Ayaan broke into a sob shaking his head; he held his blood stained hands in front of his brother helplessly. Asad looked down and stumbled back a few steps, that was his Zoya's blood. He held the wall for support as a lone tear escaped his eyes, his head moved towards the operating theatre, his heart yearning for her to come back to him, safe and sound.

"Asad?" Came a voice. Asad looked to his right to find a distraught Dilshad and a tear stricken Najma flying towards him. He rushed towards his mother and engulfed her into a hug,

"Ammi, Zoya. How did this happen?" Asad hugged her tighter, the ache in his heart spread all over his body. He just wanted his Zoya. Dilshad cupped his face shaking her head,

"Nothing will happen to our Zoya" Dilshad comforted him, her own tears failing to support her comforting words.

"How did this happen?" Asad looked at Ayaan, Najma and his mother.

"I found her parked up in a car" Ayaan started, his voice broke remembering the horrifying incident. Asad looked at him; she didn't listen to him did she? He winced remembering their encounter in the morning.

"She went alone?" Asad's voice cracked. This was all his fault.

"No Asad... Tanveer was giving her lessons" Dilshad told him. Asad's hand fisted instantly, his eyes fell on Tanveer who was running towards them. He paced towards her and backhanded her, Tanveer fell against the hospital waiting seats in shock. She held her cheek and looked up at him with venomous eyes,

"How could you be so irresponsible Tanveer?!!!!!!!!!!! You knew Zoya's life would be in danger, she didn't know these roads. She doesn't know how to drive and you still took her? I did not expect something from you; I swear to Almighty, if anything happens to her I will not spare YOUUU!!" Asad threatened, his nostrils flared in anger. The thought of losing Zoya was killing him, he would never raise his hand towards anyone let alone his best friend... he didn't know what happened to him.

"Jammy?" Tanveer faked a cry.

"DON'T CALL ME JAMMY!!!!" Asad screamed at her, his voice thundering into the hospital corridors. "I don't want to hear anything from you." Asad was not in his senses, his head shot towards the hospital theatre as the doctors walked out. He rushed towards him. "How is she?"

"She's out of danger. I'm surprised despite such a horrible accident. She lost so much blood, but I guess you all were holding onto her. She's out of danger, we'll still have to monitor her-" The doctor was taken by surprise as Asad hugged him,

"Thank you doctor, thank you so much. Can I meet her?" Asad asked him. The doctor smiled.

"Yes of course, but please try not to disturb her. We don't know when she'll gain consciousness" The doctor patted his shoulder before walking away. Asad looked up at Dilshad who nodded at him. Asad breathed into his hands before walking inside her room. He stared at her lifeless body attached to all sorts of machines, the morning's incident flashed before his eyes. He slowly lifted his hand and caressed her forehead that was covered with bandages; he lifted her hand in his other.

"You're not my fake fiancee Zoya, you're my life..." Asad whispered, "Why will I deny my heart the right to call you my wife?"

------

Zoya slowly opened her eyes, the sharp light attacked her eyes making her shut it tight instantly. She could feel someone breathing over hand her right hand; she forced her eyes open and looked to her right. What she saw warmed her heart, Asad held her hand against his chest.

"Why are you here Mr Khan? I thought I wasn't your responsibility, or your priority. I should learn to take care of myself, I will... you go" She faced the other way.

"Is this how you take care of yourself?" Asad questioned her clutching her hand tighter. Zoya looked at him squinting her eyes; his mocking tone wasn't exactly helping him. She was about to open her mouth but his finger hushed her. Zoya's lips trembled with his touch; she felt her chest react weirdly. She met his round orbs that were filled with unshed tears. She wanted to reach up and wipe those away.

"Why do you care, I am your FAKE FIANCEEE" She reminded him.

"Listen Zoya, you've gained consciousness after three whole days. Don't argue with me" Asad looked at her concerned.

"You're arguing with me" She retorted. "You didn't answer my question, why are you here? I am fine" Zoya grumbled. She was going to burst into tears if he didn't answer her.

"I am here because you're my priority" Asad confessed. "You were always my priority Zoya. But more importantly, you are my life. I'm here because I need my life back" Zoya blinked at him. Someone has done voodoo on him.

"What happened to your beloved meeting?"

"Screw that" Asad spoke irritated. This was about his life, which was her. Definitely voodoo thought Zoya.

"Mr Khan, I was in an accident, not you. What happened to you?" Zoya wasn't able to digest his words.

"I realised that I was stupid in trying to make you think that this was a fake engagement. Forget being my fake fiancee when my heart already considers you my wife." He kissed her hand. Zoya's mouth opened wide. Najma was about to enter with a CD but held back, she closed the door knowing they needed to confess, the revelations could wait.

"Mr Khan, would you please clearly tell me what is wrong with you?"

"I fell in love with you..." He got up and cupped her face, Zoya blinked at him.

"But I don't believe you" She whispered, "I just wanted you to teach me how to drive but you-" Asad grabbed her lips with his taking her into a passionate kiss; Zoya's eyes widened feeling her heart burst with all sorts of feelings. He parted from her brushing her lips with a few feathery pecks; he rested his nose with hers.

"You don't need to learn how to drive when I am here. Your safety is my priority..."

"Just my safety?" Zoya whispered.

"YOU are my priority" He kissed her again, brushing his lips with hers, feeling and experimenting the feel of her lips, her taste.

"And?"

"And marrying you."

"And?"

"And everything else that happens after marriage." He winked. Zoya blushed a deep crimson wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling her against him into a hug. Asad half lay over her body sighing in her arms on the hospital bed. That will always be his priority; keeping her close against him.

Lovely OS👏😊
Asad is really irritating
He thinks teaching her driving is a time waste
Asad got his senses
Glad dat Ayaan was around
But I still not accept him saying dat she does not learn to drive wen he is around
I found it MCP like why she only needs him to drive her around
Learning driving is very necessary especially nowadays
Driving can be a hobby or urgency so driving is necessary
Concern for her safety does not means he sud not let her learn everything
Hope u continue dis n make Asad realize dis point n also expose Tanveer
One accident cannot make Asad not let her learn to drive
Its like Asad does not trusts her n wants her to learn
