Aahil chose to have an attack of conscience right then when he was about to blurt out to full extent of his feelings for Sanam.
He pushes away a confused Sanam, and drives away. And Sanam is actually chasing him and asking why is he behaving like this. She knows she heard something momentous in his words, but his retreat confused her back into anger at him.
Goodguy Rehan turns up, super worried and castigating himself for leaving her. He looks so contrite, I felt like hugging him myself. (!!!) But Sanam did too!!
(was waiting for the context but turns out there wasn't any- Sanam simply doesn't do these things! She was the one who couldn't go out with Anwar alone , remember? But anyway, it's done ...)
But something interesting happens here...
Aahil chances upon them in embrace,
My goodness, the pain in his face !! I literally felt it right to the pit of my stomach; wretched, clawing, devastating pain. I could see his heart breaking with my own eyes. *cries into pillow*
He stood there rooted on the spot, looking helplessly at Sanam. And Sanam looks back, knowing that Aahil has misunderstood them. She was alarmed at the devastation in his face, she knew he had some feelings for her. She felt bad.
But Rehan innocently collects them and they drive home. Aahil is still devastated but obviously not in his faculties to react yet. He silently stands in Nida's catty embrace, her words dismissing Sanam's ordeal as unimportant. If Aahil could've been a little more suspicious, he would have sensed the mischief in Nida.
Sanam reiterates her resolute standing for all to hear: I know my place, I don't have lofty aspirations. And walks past them, nudging into Aahil.
Wow, that nudge !!
What was she trying to tell Aahil with that? That Nida and his betrothal to her is the reason he shouldn't be propositioning her at all? Or Hey man! Your fiancee, deal with her! Leave me out of this mess!' was what she was saying?
That nudge and the regal walk out of the room was just the right amount of sass Sanam could have. Perfect ! So you have feelings for me?? You deal with this nonsense here first!!
Precap: Why do they always make Sanam dance at gatherings? I find that very very weird. The cook dances at events? Plus it doesn't gel with Sanam's character at all!
Meanwhile, Haya and Rahat are progressing through the steps of deeper friendship. DId he just ask her out to an event? Wow!
