Chapter 5 - Getting ready for the big party

(Zoya's Perspective)

Asad came home from work and saw Zoya standing with her hands on her hips by the entrance looking at Asad very angry.

"Why did it take you this long to come home, you should have been home an hour ago, Ammi and I are very tensed about tonight you have no idea." I said feeling tensed and angry.

"I am home now so you must relax; there is tension all over your face. Just relax". Asad took me to the couch and told me to sit.

Asad went to get freshened up; when he came out he went straight to work. I told him everything what needed to be done and he did everything the way I wanted. I am so lucky to have Asad in my life. I feel restless when he is not with me.

"Anything else for my lovely madam?" Asad said

"No dear everything is done, but there is one more thing you have to do." I said

"What is it my sweetheart?"

"Go get ready, there is a surprise waiting for you in the room."

Asad went in the room to get ready for the party. I waited for him to get ready for about fifteen minutes and he came wearing the navy blue sherwani I got him.

"Oh look who is looking handsome today"

Asad came close to me and whispered in my ear, there is a surprise waiting for you in the room too. I looked at him shocked face but I was smiling inside.

I went in the room to see what Asad had got me. I saw it on the bed, it was a beautiful navy blue lehenga choli with a long top with pretty designs on it and the top was half backless.

"Wow Mr. Akdu Ahmed Khan got a same color dress as I did for him, our thinking is the same". I said smiling.

I got dressed but I couldn't tie the dori, I tried so many times but just couldn't get. Just then Asad came yelling my name,

"Zoya what's taking you so long?" He asked

I looked at him in the mirror and saw he was looking at me like he never looked before. I pulled my hair back to cover my back. Asad walked towards me, he was very close to me as he touched me to pull my hair in the front, I closed my eyes as he was tying the dori as he finished he leaned his head towards my neck and kissed it. I put my hands into a fist and tighten eyes even more.

Asad hugging me from the back and rubbing his face against mine saying, "You look so gorgeous my darling."

"Leave me Asad, I have to get ready and guest are about to come" I said

He didn't leave me and pulled me back into a tight back hug.

"Mona darling, Bhaijaan." Ayan called

He saw us and turned around. "Just wanted to call you two because guests are about to come.

I let go and left from there to help Ammi.

(Asad's Perspective)

"Let's go Ayan" I said smiling

"Bhaijaan, tell me one thing why did you stop when I came in the room?"

"Day by day you are being really naughty now let's go out before all the guests arrive.

We went in the hall to welcome all the guests. There I saw Akram entering the house and his eyes straightly fell on Zoya. I went to Zoya and placed my arm around her shoulder and I saw Akram who looked away and came to us.

"Hello Akram, glad you could make it." I said tightening my hand on Zoya's shoulder

"Hello Asad Sir and Zoya Bhabhi, thank you for inviting me. How are you doing?" he said trying to touch her hand

"I am doing great as Asad is with me I have no worry about anything." She said looking at me

I could see the tension rising in his eyes and I pulled Zoya closer to me and took her away from Akram.

"Enjoy Akram and don't leave without eating." We left from there.

I looked at Akram's tensioned, and smiled.
