Finite shows with well scripted stories !!!

That is exactly what I am working towards. We the viewers have to ask for them ..only then will the powers that be stop telling us to use the remote and move on...so uncaring an attitude for those reining in the entertainment industry. For 50 shows like QH ( which many enjoy ) give us one Buniyaad ...please ! Or Tamas.

Even the comedy shows are hardly comic anymore ...and we did produce a rib tickling 'Office Office'

let alone tv shows.nowadays movies without basic storyline get to be in 200cr clubs where movies with awesome acting and excellent story just get to be appreciated by critics,

all awards are taken by big stars and their 300 cr stupid illogical movies,no wonder their fans and their stardom plus overrated pulbicity do all the wonders for them.so again its always two sides faults.

Exactly all those sonakshi Sinha films (except lootera), chennai express, yeh jawani etc - no story yet blockbusters.

I agree finite shows is what is needed.

As for the entertainment industry - right from the actor to the channel - it is all about money. As much as people would like to think that the channels, actors and production houses care - they don't. They will care only when they stop making money and unfortunately their formula for "good " tv works.

OH ! But in cinema they do have the National Awards and people like Girish Karnad, Vijay Gokhale and so many other stalwarts get acclaimed for good cinema .

That is my point exactly ..why can we not have variety on the small screen too ? Maybe DD needs to look at this very seriously as the private channels will not go beyond TRPs and revenue .

I also feel there should be International Festivals like IFFI for television as well. We need to work towards that . Every small step will count.

Appreciate Anil Kapoor's brave attempt to break this strangle hold with '24' . It was a short ,finite show and there is talk of a second season after a break ...in which all pre-production work will be completed before shooting commences. There is one under production with AB in the cast as well as Vasundhara where Jaya Bachhan will be the protagonist .
And the sentimental old fool that I am I adore love stories ...takes me back to my youth when we believed more in love than gen next.

I feel we can reduce the angst and the heartburn that we are exposed to repeatedly if a certain sense of discipline is invoked in the industry.

I didn't know KSG or Surbhi until QH happened, therefore, it is clear that I didn't start watching QH for actors. There are more than one reason why I started watching QH, such as, story, cast, performances, suspense, execution etc. In the initial days every character and little nuances were depicted wonderfully. Even Haseena was interesting in the beginning, there was a scene where Haseena comes to KM with the intesion to find out Dilshad relationship with SM and that scene was hillarious and mysterious at the same time. Not only ASYA but every character had chemistry with each other including guest characters such as Aapi and Jiju.

I am loving the story right now. Everything is fast pace and we don't have any more dream dances.
