I already guessed that the fault is not with Karan/ zee/ PH explicitly...There is definitely a third party here who played a cruel joke of all fans implicitly which lead to the actor defamation...such a talented guy he is...!
It took 3 days for me to realise that ksg is no more our AAK... Even I watch a serial for a complete package...

You missed to add one imp. Point...Mr. Ajay said that he tried to call Karan but there was no response.
But in Karan statement he said mr. Ajay should have called me first instead of talking to the media n trashing my image...

1.TM First phone call to zee office- no he is on holidays due to illness and will be back
2.Meanwhile all tweets/ articles / post on FB stated that he is unprofessional n been fired
3.TM second call to zee Office- s he is not in QH .. He is not being fired instead he quit on his own accord for personal reasons...

Hey Kaussar, I had logged into the forum to make a similar post (not as elaborate as yours but on the same lines😊). I have also been depressed for the last 3 days and have been brooding over this fact that we wont get to see Karan as Asad. I have even cried due to this (seeing one of the latest VMs yesterday)

I felt the same as you've already said that Karan had decided to move away from the show even before he started shooting so this was a planned move which actually got delayed. We being his fans should respect his decision and let that man be. He's already going through so much physically, mentally and am sure emotionally too, as he's given a good 14-15 months of his life to this show and the kind of "farewell" he got from the show, that we all have seen. The way we will miss him on screen I'm sure he will definately miss being on the sets and he will miss all his co-stars too.

But we cannot force him to come back. He has other dreams and aspirations that he wants to fulfill, so, we being his fans should support him. Even if the channel apologises to him I feel he should not comeback coz if this can happen with him once it can happen again. For his self respect he should accept their apology but coming back should not be an option if he really feels let down by the channel and if he doesnot connect with the character and show.


P.S. Its entirely my thought (and I dont expect even a single soul to agree with me) that ASYA would never have been the same if any one of them (Karan/Surbhi) were not there. They both made ASYA what it is today. So I'am going to watch the show for Surbhi. She's a brilliant actress and she has worked hard to be where she is.Im sure she will be able to keep us hooked on to the show with her cute couplets and her "ALLAHAMIYAN WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?"

Ankie even i cannot agree more... especially the last part.. they are playing with the emotions of young girls by portraying these characters by these actors and getting them so hooked and then breaking their hearts.. and they should not do it for the sake of popularity of a show... but unfortunately they would coz thats how things work in the industry... and so its us who has to be mature and realistic and not fall into this trap.

I agree with the views, the only grudge I have is if KSG had made clear in the beginning that he will be part of the show for only a year then PH based on their previous experience and the current trend of the shows should not have introduced the zoyaan track should have shown asya nikah and the gudiya factory revealation that way the show would have kept the TRPS and KSG would have extended his stay if he was getting more screen space.. the show would have ended on a clean note and he would have come with his own show on ZEE after that..

The best written post on this issue 👏 I agree with everything you said, but probably couldn't have put everything together so well. Its fine to watch a show for a particular actor, and fine to quit watching if that actor leaves. Whats not fine is the extent to which one becomes so obsessed with something on TV to the point where we let it affect our real lives.
