So I know I am inviting trouble by making this post. I have been a very silent reader on this forum and rarely post on topics and today I actually decided to make a post for discussion.
Is there a way to redeem Rashid?
Do you think the CVs are even going to try?
If the CVs have it in their mind to redeem him it should be interesting to watch how exactly they are going to go about doing this. CVs tried to redeem Imran and for the most part they sort of have 🤔 I still dislike the guy. I understand it is because he loves Najma he is able to defend her and stand up for her but still as a human being he couldn't stand up for Nikhat when she was being treated so badly by his mother? But I digress...
I still think there is lot of stuff we may not know about Rashid and his situation. Life is a funny thing...sometimes reasons are such that we find ourselves in situations unimaginable.
If he had cheated on Dilshaad the first time around then he really isn't worth going back to.
But it could be possible that Rashid may have been trapped by Razia for Shireen's sake. She could have drugged him and he thought he was with Dilshaad and ended up knocking up Shireen. Ashamed of his actions...he had to take the responsibility of the child so he married Shireen. I recall how there was something mentioned about Badi Bi playing a part in this whole situation as this second marriage may have been for money?
Rashid may have hide the families from one another until he had to choose or was forced to choose by Gaffur to stay with Shireen. Rashid bid his adieu to Dilshaad but had one last night thus producing Najma. Rashid decides to try make a new life with Shireen. Eventually Shireen finds out about the second family that Rashid was no longer in contact with. She runs away (unknown she is pregnant) so Rashid goes back to Dilshaad and finds out that she is pregnant. I thought in one of the flashbacks Rashid was surprised to see Dilshaad pregnant. Then we have the whole Guriya Factory incident. Razia blackmails and threatens Rashid that if he does anything she will hurt his first family.
Rashid has no choice and is guilt ridden and fearful of what will happen. I know many argue he should have fought back. Should have been a man and gone to jail. We all know how Razia can emotionally blackmail and I'm sure Gaffur put some pressure on him too. After all Rashid is their puppet to do things for them. The problem is that if Rashid went to jail what guarantee was there that Razia wouldn't kill his first family? That's the thing about blackmailing and people like Razia. They know how to install fear and take advantage of people's weaknesses.
People complain that Rashid more or less lived a happy life with his second family. He produced more children. If he was so sad how did that happened? Real life isn't like movies or tv shows where they show people who don't remarry or fall in love again and wait for their partner to come back them. There are people out there like that but the truth of the matter most people aren't like that. You find a way to make relationships with the ones present. Rashid tried to fulfill his responsibilities for his children and Shireen (whom is innocent in some of this matter). But in his heart he longed for freedom and to be with his first love which is Dilshaad.
I do like Rashid and Dilshaad as a couple and their Lovestory is one of the major plot points to what happened /fallout of the Guriya Factory.
As humans we make mistakes...is trying to rectify a mistake even if it is deemed past its prime better than never trying to make amends at all?
