Glad to see healthy discussions...Harini/Pri and I are the same way. We don't agree on a lot of points but we still respect each other's POV and don't try to undermine each other. We have enough people on the forum who entertain us with their fights😆

Yup! It's called true love and matter of fact it does happens in real life too. You see fights and arguments are so common among relationships, not just husband wife or lovers but in fact every relationship there will always be misunderstandings. And that's pretty normal and healthy.

In Zoya's case is the samething. Remember the falling star? How both Asad and Zoya unknowingly ending up wishing what they never wanted in life? It's the destiny. If they hadn't wish at the moment, we probably wouldn't have seen Zoya what she has been now. She has loved Asad the most in her life. And if you love someone truly, you will accept that person with his good and bad habits. And that's what Zoya has done. She was hurt, broken, alone but she knew that her Mr. Khan is there for her to protect. She know he has respect for her. And what Asad did in return was all she was looking for which was forgiveness and realization and it just took seconds for her to melt down in his Arms. 😳

She does care for her self-respect because she knows that Asad won't let her make any stupid decisions.

yeah, I agree they have reached that point of unconditional acceptance even if they disagree on some matters. The fact that Asad never felt betrayed after her accidental nikaah just shows the level of their relationship.

I think no one was forcing zoya to fall into the pit.. all of this was a result of her stupidity and

asad too is at fault for his situation as well.. i agree to that. but i wouldnt go as far as to say he was forcing Zoya to do anything.

I do agree that Zoya had the ultimate power of saying yes or no...but when it comes to Mr. Khan and his wishes/happiness, she will do anything even if it means destroying herself...that fanaa song is meant for these guys. That's why it is the background for the muqaddar promo too

Hi Sangi,

Self respect defines an individual...it's plain and simple. Should falling in love change it. The answer is no. IMO, if an individual has to strip of their self respect for the sake of love, I don't think that love is worth it at all.

I don't think Zoya ever had self respect ...she should have walked out of the house the first time Asad insulted her...she wasn't in love then...was she ? Let alone the slap and the very recent trading fiasco. The point is Asad has never prioritized her and she very well knows that,in-spite of that she has trusted him once again which I am afraid will fall back on her face. Why...because once again he is going to prioritize his sister Najma's happiness and dump her. It's just a never ending story and pattern.

She would not return to NYC because the female protagonist cannot leave the country...that about it. I would actually welcome a new man in a woman's life in such conditions...anything other than going back to the man who betrays you at every opportunity he gets. Do you really think any woman deserves that ?

Self respect comes first above everything.

I am sure if it were me or you in her place, we would have bolted after the Akram fiasco (when he forced her to meet Akram) but in Zoya's case, I feel mangalpur changed everything about her relationship with asad. Even though she never acknowledged or realized her feelings, that incident defined her relationship with asad. Since then, she his always returned back to him despite all the humiliation and insults on her. That's why I feel she will never separate from him...

I wouldn't use words like dragged/forced her into a marriage either. The ultimate decision was Zoya's. And she chose to give in to Asad. She wasn't held at gunpoint when she signed the nikaahnama. The Akram fiasco? That would have been a force marriage, because the poor girl was in no condition to think for herself. Such was not the case here.

That being said, I'll continue to give Asad 50% of the blame for not only manipulating Zoya, but also allowing himself to be manipulated by Ayaan. If we can blame Zoya for being manipulated by Asad, then the same idea should apply all around.

For me, Ayaan is the biggest villain in this whole fiasco. For me, that scene where he begs Asad to give him his dulhan was as sinful as the sexual assault on asad by billi. Asad's fault is his desire to please his step siblings because he felt guilty about the Najma-Nikhat fiasco and Zoya's fault is her blind faith in Asad (as some people would call it dedication in love)

Very nice post di,IMO,self respect still matters a lot for Zoya. Equation changes when it comes to Asad because Asad is also included in the circumfrence of self of Zoya. You can go away from world but you cant go away from your self. And love is the only thing in the world which can not only overpower your ego but also can eliminate it.Zoya has given that haq to Asad and thats why i can not digest moving on of Zoya or Asad now.One question di, would you please explain the role of Ayan in dargah scene?

Ayaan in the dargah scene...it was a very one sided story between ayaan and Zoya. Ayaanwas fascinated by her (this could mean hero worship in current scenario) He chased her, she showed no interest in him, she even covered herself with her shawl when he came into the picture. He did indirectly help her as she was running away from goons (Razia? in current scneario)

Her leaving the shawl might signify her dissolving the nikaah (here for Humeira's sake)

Then again I'm not even a fifth as emotionally strong in character as Zoya. She's a fighter and she loves fiercely.

U bet...most of us would have bolted that day but this is Asad and Zoya's love story...just trying to understand where they are coming from. I guess as they say, love is blind.

👏 I second your opinion.
Zoya runs back to Asad even after getting hurt or getting humiliated from him bcz she knows that he loves her more than his life, he can't live without her and cannot intentionally hurt her.
No matter, how much they fight with each other or disagree with each other's opinions, they sooner or later end up in adoring and loving each other. Their love is stronger enough to overpower all the obstacles and difficulties in their lives.

Even now Asad and Zoya have managed to live separately from each other just bcz they trust the ultimate power of their love.

yes, the times when they have been apart, they have totally lost their desire to live and suffered much more than when they are together (even if in the midst of a conflict)
