@ suju -about ur friend.It is sad when parents don't support their daughters. She was in an abusive relationship and she saw it. But our society only accepts physical marks as a sign of abuse.

I remember the first time my husband and I had a fight in front of my MIL (his SIL and mom had a fight, and he removed his anger on me since his brother was not there to stop his wife), she came to me telling me to let go. And then gave examples of all the husbands she knows who hurt their wives🤢. I told her flat to her face, that I am not you. The day ur son touches me, he will be in the jail and I will living a very happy life with all his money.😛 And I also added that my parents will stand with me through it, since they have already rescued two of my cousins from an abusive relation and will not think twice before supporting me.

Since then she has not given me marital advice.

rivi we are lucky that we have a supportive and beautiful family along with wonderful husbands...but its not same everywhere...i have seen people who just accept everything because its marriage and its husbnad and in laws. ...and they are afraid to raise their voice because sometimes they dont have guts to cope up with society and sometimes their parents are not able to support them given some conditions
