I know I am rubbish for not replying individually, but just to show you my appreciation and in an attempt to reciprocate even a little bit of the huge amount of love and support you shower here is another update

Asad met with Arjun to talk about their next course of action, because of what had happened at Moti Mahal, things were bound to start heating up, Arvind Shinde was never going to let things lie, he was sure to bounce back with a vengeance at having lost three of his men and Victor's drugs.

'They will attack, I don't doubt that, over the last few months we have knocked them back so much they will want to extracgt revenge, we will all have to be on extra alert. The best thing to do for the minute is lie low, try and gather as much intelligence as we can through our officers and informants before we formulate an attack' Asad agreed with Arjun as they continued to talk Ayaan came running in 'you need to see this' he said as he turned on the TV. There was a news flash that four bodies had been found by police in the south of the cirty, they were all girls that were well known for their role in local gangs and drug trafficking 'shit' Asad said 'Arjun, we need to get a team dispatched to cover this straight away' Arjun nodded on it...you go and fill Mr Roy in, I'll meet you back here in ten'.

Arjun got Haroon and Kunal ready whilst Asad, Ayaan and Raj got what they needed Asad you and I will meet with the police heading the investigation, the rest of you I want to work in pairs, you go around and find out as much as you can, I want the families, friends associates of these girls known' Arjun walked out with Asad and the rest of the team following behind.

On route Asad's mind went back to Zoya, he quickly took out his phone to text her

I have to go somewhere, I will be late. Stay where you are and don't move until I get there

Zoya picked up her phone to read his message and the first thing that ran through her head was his safety, she knew and had witnessed how Asad worked and instantly became worried

Please keep safe...I won't move, promise

Asad and Arjun arrived at the scene of the crime, the police and forensic's team wer already at the scene scanning it inch by inch. The bodies had been taken to the local hospital for autopsies, Asad and Arjun spoke to the inspector in charge to get a full debrief and some sort of time line of events.

As the NIA officers continued to carry out their investigations back in halls Zoya, Najma and Rhea sat in the common room indulging in mindless TV. 'Rhea stop, go back one channel' Zoya said, as Rhea changed the channel Zoya sat up and looked carefully at the news being broadcasted. They were showing images of the girls that had been found dead 'Rhea...Najma I...I know that girl, I have seen her somewhere before...but where?' as Zoya tried hard to remember where she had seenthe girl Najma and Rhea just looked at each other 'may be in Delhi...you know when you were with the other girls in that room' Najma said reluctantly not wanting to refresh anyone's memories of that ordeal. Zoya shook her head 'no, not Delhi...somewhere here in Mumbai...Ya Allah...its her' Zoya jumped off her seat and remembered that it was the same girl she saw Raghu drag into his car the not so long ago.

Zoya quickly took out her phone 'Mr Khan its Zoya...are you at the scene where the bodies of those girls have been found' 'yes, but how did you know...are you ok?' 'I just saw the news and second guessed...Mr Khan one of the girls is the same one that I saw Dev Raaj and Raghu force into their car and drive off...you remember when I called you' 'Zoya...are you sure?' yes Mr Khan a hundred percent, it is definitely her' 'ok, thank you...I am not sure how long I will be here, please stay with your friends until I come' I will'.

Asad got off the phone with Zoya and reported back to Arjun what Zoya had just told him 'we have enough to at least arrest the bast**d, we need to get him tonight, Asad, you Haroon and Ayaan head back and get him, I'll finish up here and meet you back at base' Asad grabbed Haroon and Ayaan before they headed off to the Raaj residence.

Asad entered the gates of where Dev Raaj lived; his father Mr Raaj was a leading industrialist, someone who was extremely powerful and well respected. Mr Raaj was not an easy person to get hold of, Asad rang the bell 'yes, how may I help you?' a man asked as he opened the door. Asad held out his badge 'we are here to see Dev Raaj' 'I am sorry sir, no one is home, they have all gone away' Asad frowned where?' 'I do not know sir'. Not quite believing the man who stood before him Asad pushed past him and walked through calling out to Dev Raaj, it didn't matter how much the man protested or tried to stop Asad he carried on. 'Bhaijaan, maybe he is telling the truth' Ayaan said after minutes of walking around but seeing no one. Asad swore under his breath and walked out with Ayaan and Haroon in tow.

'Ayaan, I want you and Haroon to stake out the place, something tells me that they have not gone too far. The minute you see sign of him I want you to call me straight away' Ayaan and Haroon took their positions a few hundred yards away from the Raaj residence 'where is Asad going...I mean if this is so important why isn't her here sitting with us?' Haroon asked 'he will be back soon enough' Ayaan replied, not wanting to let him know that he was off to pick Zoya up.

Before anything major went down Asad needed to get Zoya back to his place so he knew she was safe, her safety was that much more important now as she was a witness to the kidnapping of one of the young girls found dead. 'Zoya I am outside your building' 'already...um ok...give me two minutes I'll be down' Zoya turned to her friends 'I have to go Asad is downstairs...um thanks for tonight' Najam stood up and hugged her 'please don't disregard what I said, this is real Zoya the quicker you accept it the easier it will become, if Asad is the one then the last thing you want to do is let him go' Zoya smiled at her 'I'll see you in college on Monday...love you' 'I love you too, Allah Hafiz'.

Zoya walked out of halls to see Asad leaning against his car, the minute her eyes fell upon him she started to melt, every part of her started breaking out in goose bumps and every word Najma had said started to make her head spin. Asad stood up straight as he saw her walking towards him 'hi, I didn't expect you back so early' she said her voice almost shaking 'I have to get back soon...after what you told us it was evidence enough to get Dev Raaj...I wanted to make sure you were safe, I wanted to drop you home myself before I went back' Zoya smiled at him as she looked into his eyes 'thank you...I seem to be causing you a lot of extra work' Asad moved back to open the passenger door, he didn't respond to what Zoya had just said he held out his hand and gestured for her to sit, which she did whithout saying anything further.

'if you want I can get Humi to come over and stay with you, I am not sure how long I will be, it may be all night' Zoya felt a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach 'all night?' 'Yes, shall I call her' Zoya shook her head 'no...I'll be ok...' Asad nodded ok, well I guess I will see you soon' inshAllah'. Asad was about to walk out the door when Zoya felt her heart flutter, like she felt something bad was going to happen. 'Mr Khan' she called out, Asad turned around to see her standing not so far behind him 'did you want something' Zoya shook her head 'I just wanted to say be careful' Asad let out a little laugh 'I always am Zoya, you don't need to worry for me'.

Asad left leaving Zoya filling up with a dull pain, she started to feel restless and in this state the only thing she could think of was praying. Zoya laid out her prayer mat and sat in front of her Lord asking him to protect Asad, if there was ever anything Zoya believed in that was in the power of prayer, and today she was going to continue to sit until she heard him come home.

she is still unwell...I had to take her into nursery...they did say that if she becomes unwell they will call me...no fun being a working mum 😭
