Drea & Illmez - mistakes make people human...not bad people. As I stated I don't see people in black n white...good or bad. Nighat is flawed because she lacks self respect and due to that she drags others down. If she didn't have issues with her own self worth then she would not be a silent spectator to the emotional abuse her future MIL and even hubby-to-be heaps on her family. That does not make her a bad person, but for her own selfish motivations (wish for love as she thinks she is undeserving) she lets her father and brothers suffer. That touch of selfishness makes her a much much milder version of Shireen. Again, it doesn't make her bad...just flawed.
Returning to Asad, I reiterate he isn't a bad person but I cannot say that he is a good man. A good man does not hit a woman. PERIOD. A good man does not judge others on the basis of their clothes and spout the kind of sexist crap Asad does. A good man doesn't dictate to his mother whom she can or cannot see. A good man looks at all of the evidence not some of it before leaping continually to conclusions.
As for learning from his mistakes... they have not shown his learning from them graph as yet. Time and again attempts have been made on Zoya's life and Asad saves her yes, but then fails to investigate the cause.
Coming to Zoya's silence... when she has told Asad home truths about Tanveer he has always opted to give Tanveer benefit of doubt and never Zoya. As such, there is no point in her telling him anythng until and unless she has concrete "proof"...since as Drea stated he only trusts "proof" and not woman he claims to love and pine for. Such is his distrust in her and trust in Tanveer.
Lastly, we are all entitled to our own views... so, lets agree to disagree becuz I doubt you will acknowledge Asad's "flaws" and I won't accept he's a "good" man as all the head shaking in the world cannot undo Asad's slap.
