So this is my new FF. Totally unrelated to any of my other stories. I initially was gonna make this a Three-Shot but something tells me I'm going have more story to tell here so I decided to make it an FF from the get go.
Disclaimer:though they share some similarities with AsYa's characteristics and dispositions, this story has nothing to do with any storyline in QH and some things in the story would be out of character for the AsYa we're used to.
Enjoy and leave your comments so I can know how you like the story.

ONE
Zoya:
Zoya Farooqui wondered for the umpteenth time why she was on this cruise ship. She hadn't wanted to take any trips after her accident but her Aapi had insisted telling her that she needed this time to heal, to relax and start living life again. After an almost crippling car accident while living in New York which spurred her Aapi and Jeeju to move back to India, she had been bed ridden for months, working with a physical therapist after she started getting movement back in her left foot. After weeks and weeks of grueling therapy she could walk as normal as she could before with only a slight limp that was barely noticeable most of the time.
Zeenat Aapi had told her to find some place to vacation for at least a few days so she could have some fun and just be Zoya for a few days. While searching on her iPad Zoya had found the Round-Trip, Caribbean Tour Cruise where she would get a chance to visit many Caribbean Islands. The ship itself had boasted of its entertainment and restaurant buffets. Zoya's interest was piqued and she decided to give it a try even after much subterfuge by her Aapi and Jeeju.
The cruise was supposed to last seven days and as she boarded the ship, Zoya was rendered speechless by the sheer size and magnificence of the ship and the beauty of everything on board. The cruise had cost a pretty penny but from what she could see it was well worth the price.
Well that's what she thought until she met him . . .

Zoya had been walking around the cruise ship staring at the interior decoration, the high crystal chandeliers, all the twinkling lights, when she slammed into someone's hard back. "Allah Miya!"
Zoya raised her head and stared at a broad back covered in a black leather jacket. All she saw was the back of his head and he had hair so dark she guessed it was black. "I'm sorry." She said and then he turned around.
"What is wrong with you? Can't you look where you're going?" The man asked her in the most appallingly rude tone she'd ever heard. Oh, if that didn't spike her temper, nothing else would. "Excuse me." She said stepping up to him and pointing her index finger at him, "I apologized, and don't shout at me. Who do you think you are?" She said, lifting her eyes to his face.
Zoya would never admit it but she froze bad when she saw his face. Allah Miya, he was beautiful. Arrogant but beautiful. His face seemed to be carved by Michael Angelo himself, his eyes so deep and dark, Zoya felt like she was falling, drowning in them. He was fit, that much was evident from his broad wide-set shoulders and the way he carried himself but as soon as he opened his mouth all that went out the window.
"Excuse me, are you picking a fight with me?" He asked and he seemed to be fighting a smile. And that's when she saw it. A cute but sexy dimple in his right cheek that made an appearance when his lips lifted. "That's cute. Are your parents around? Maybe you should run along now before you lose them." He smirked and turned away from her.
Did he just call her a child? He did. Urgh . . . Zoya stomped her foot and then realized that she probably looked childish just like that stupid man just suggested and she turned away, hair flipping in her anger and stomped her way to her room. She didn't care how handsome he was or how much she wanted to touch that dimple; no one spoke to Zoya Farooqui that way.

Asad
Asad turned around to see the girl walking away from him. She was beautiful. She wasn't the type of girl that he had ever been attracted to or would choose as a life partner but she made him feel something.Just one look. One look at her face, her fiery eyes and her full lips yelling at him, not to mention that long silky curtain of dark hair flying around her face. She was beautiful yes but trouble. She had that written all over her. And since he didn't want trouble on this trip, he was steering clear.
Asad was persuaded by his Ammi and sister Najma to take some time off after working non-stop on their last commission for the last couple of months. He reluctantly agreed when Najma showed him the online Ad for this Caribbean cruise. Seven days of rest and relaxation.
Asad had no reason to refuse, work was running smoothly and he could afford the time off. He wasn't about throw the opportunity away to get some time to himself.
He hated leaving his Ammi and Najma for this long and always worried for them, expressing as much before he left. His mother was adamant though and he couldn't refuse her anything.
As he turned his face to the left he caught sight of that girl. The loud-mouth. He turned away and stood up walking towards to the washrooms at the back. Before he could reach there, he collided with . . .her. Again? As soon as he retained his bearings he speared her with an annoyed look. "Why are you following me?" He asked irritated. She seemed to be everywhere.
"Hey you listen to me mister, I am not following you. I forgot my purse down here and had to walk all the way back from my room." She speared him with an equally loathing look. "And if anyone's following anyone it's you, Mr. Tall, Dark and Annoying."
Asad laughed. A full-bodied shaking laugh that he hadn't done for the longest while. "You're funny but irrelevant. Get out of my way." He said trying to side-step her. He heard her sharp intake of breath and looked at her face. She looked boiling mad. She looked like she wanted to rip him to pieces but she didn't. Oddly enough she said nothing and walked away, that silky sable hair flying behind her.
He stared at her retreating back until she was no longer in sight and turned away. What a rude girl? He thought. He acknowledged his ungentlemanly words to her but she just made him mad, a complete stranger. He shook his head and sighed.
They were going to dock in their first destination in the morning for a couple of hours and he was looking forward to exploring. Asad turned away from the floor show going on and decided to head up to his room. As he walked towards his destination, deep dark eyes flashed in his head and a swishing of long dark hair. He shook his head. He hoped he didn't see that trouble-maker for the rest of this cruise.
Hope you enjoyed this opening chapter. I'll update regularly, Buddy Me for PMs. Makes it easier. And do leave feedback/comments so I can know if I should continue with this 😆
