Well spotted, Bheegi. I missed that particular insult as I was already irritated about the aunt raising her eyebrows at Humera in a Saree, and Nikhat rushing in with that ridiculous drama excuse - as if Muslims don't wear a saree!! Really, truly irritating and insulting! As for the Hindustani crack - that was beyond the pale! Hope they realise their callousness.

Zoya wears sarees all the rime.In fact a conservative man like Mr.Khan prefers that...

I can understand the narrow mindedness around attire but that the dialogue blunder was pure callousness by the whole team

No wonder she did such a blunder. Gul is a born Indian as ta as I know as in Hindustani. She still let the writers get away with this crap.
Anyway what more can be expected from her. She is promoting negativity constantly and giving wrong ideas to people by glorifying negetive characters.
As a woman she isn't ashamed of showing a woman trying to kill another indifferent ways just to get her dirty deeds done and succeeding continuously.Shame on you Gul

I think the PH has it's hands full right now...with MS and Ajmer track etc etc...I am sure they are churning episodes without much review. Hope someone reprimands the writer for this oversight

yeah..good observation..i just saw that scene...i think they used that word 'hindustani' prior to bahu to highlight her typical attire...and yes...they should have been more careful...it could be taken wrongly...but as we are a secular nation, i would like to bring a small thing to everyone's notice...Hindustan is an archaic name for India and now India is a secular nation called Bharat..secondly...technically and actually speaking Hindustani people are those who reside in the Hindavi belt of north India (Bihar, Uttarakhand etc)-u can google it and check for yourselves... although culturally and in media, Hindustan has been interchangebly used to denote India as a whole...technically what they said is not wrong..because Rajni Shukla is a North Indian (i.e by definition and geography, a Hindustani...in fact, Hindu and Hindustan have been derived from the name of the river Indus...it is a common name that denoted people living on the other side of the river Indus...Persians named it that way...I myself am a Hindu so u can safely say that i am not defending what they did...I am just placing forward facts...In fact in our Vedas and Upanishads, there is no mention of the word Hindu...and as a fact hindustani people are the ones who reside in the Hindavi belt of India...I am sure some of u have heard this...there is a language called Hindi and there is another form of it called Hindustani..jo sirf north india mein boli jaati hai...we colloquially call it 'Shuddh Hindi'...but since media and otherwise culturally Hindustan has been loosely used to denote the Indian Subcontinent and if someone does not bother to find out the facts, it could be taken very offensively...

It's not Guls fault but she is responsible for her team...

Yes, you are probably right technically but the aam janta doesn't go by technicalities...

Here is wikipedia's version:

People[edit]

Main article: Hindustani people

In its current usage in India, the term 'Hindustani' refers to an Indian, irrespective of religious affiliation.

👏👏👏

Can you please make a separate post before this spirals out of control? May be it will settle down here itself...wishful.

I really felt the same- hindustan is not a term used in secular India. Being a non- muslim, it still is a jarring word for me- for the same reason- it has been abused politically a lot, to segregate our nation by BOTH RELIGIONS..

And I sincerely felt, when this aunt spoke, she was probably speaking like an illiterete person who often confuses HINDUSTANI for hindu- because of the same origin...no offence meant to any one..

Also, in this post many people have objected to why a muslim woman cannot wear saree?- it was worn in a way a hindu lady would and with the sindoor- so I was not really offended by it or found it out of place.😊

Sangi... Do u think they will realise ? I don't think so...
Especially after the article given by amrapali about trp increase, she stated simply it is because of tanveer
Who is going to make the ph and qh team realise the fact that The week which reached 3.4 had the minimal scenes of tanveer and full and full the episode where based on asad and zoya's angst and kabhi acting ... And the hope of the viewers that asya might meet anytime...
I am so disappointed...

So true Bheegi! The blunders they are making and the numerous loopholes are taking away from the quality.

Why introduce the Ajmer track as a place where someone goes and their wishes are fulfilled, they don't return empty handed, they get all the happiness and then send Asad back sad and crying.

They should refrain from making such claims if they are not going to follow through with it. It hurts people's sentiments and it is wrong on their part.

My only hope is that since Asad felt Zoya's presence today and heard her maybe? He decides to stay back and tells billi to go. Billi would go thinking Zoya is dead. They may go straight to AsYa coming home together and show the reconciliation scene as a flashback which is also fine. But bottom line is if they claim that Ajmer is a place where prayers are answered then Asad's prayers should be answered!
