I didn't enjoy today as much as I did yesterday's and friday's angst but the episode was still good. Asad remembering the words of the madarasa administrator and refusing to eat or even sleep on his bed just shows us as viewers how devastated Asad truly is. It even to an extent melted Dilshaad's heart. My only gripe with that scene was that Dilshaad didn't try and question the series of events that have occurred. Surely a man so shattered and encompassed in grief could not and would not have done such a callous thing to the woman he loves - he is her son she should see that , soon. What was truly heart wrenching was the fact that Asad, a man who values his mother's opinion and advice, has completely shut her out of his life and grief. He is truly and completely alone.
Tanveer continues to be a pain in my ass. What was the purpose again of having Zoya immured? Did she gain anything? - No. This woman needs to worry more about how she is going to convince the world that the father of her child is Asad and not some pimps. Forum 32, Amprapali and 4 lions may believe she is the catalyst but to me she is a waste of space. Asad did not fall in love with Zoya in spite of Tanveer, he fell in love with her despite the cat! Asad had already lost his battle with his ideals by the time Tanveer made her dramatic *cough cough* entry.
I loved that Asad found Zoya via the ring. It was a good throwback to the fact that she in fact took the ring with her. But what completely impressed me about that scene is that he did not take her to Khan Villa. He did not disrespect Zoya's wishes by taking her there to recuperate. He very well could have, but he considered her thoughts and feelings on the matter before he took such a step and realized how painful it must be for her. After all she did run away from his home. His character growth here was wonderfully done and frankly leaving her there is the single most awesome act of selflessness he has done/shown for Zoya.
So, the letter is in fact written by Zoya. What is in it that has him so destroyed? And Najma suggests Ajmer to Asad. I guess we finally have arrived at the Ajmer track.
Side note - So, Sangeeta was right and Humeira is suffering from MPD. I am liking the new dynamic it has already given to the Pagal khana. Ayaan's redemption may be him taking care of a sick Humeira?
