Ppl need to mind their own business and thighs. What anyone is wearing or how anyone is practicing their religion is none of anyone's business.

You will not wear that skirt because you are not comfortable - not because you are scandalized by it.😃

I will not wear that skirt because my body is no where closer to what Surbhi's is. 😭
If I had a figure like that, I probably would wear something like that. After having two kids, and hitting late thirties, there is no way I can wear double the size of that skirt also. I agree, it is probably smaller than Asad's rumaal😆.
Well he must be happy that in case something happens to Zoe's pants, his rumaal can cover her bottoms neatly.😛

What is it that you think exactly? That clothes do define a person's character or you should dress 'modestly' if you're moslem? I definitely dont agree with you but I guess you are free to live in this world with your opinions/ judgement etc. I dont think anybody is a hypocrite in this case you or me😃 Everybody is just expressing their 'opinion'.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but keep it at your opinion. The problem arises when people make general statements that "it is not Muslim".

Thanks for this!
Cvs are showing reality--Zoya is a Muslim girl but we can't overlook the fact that she is not a middle eastern girl but an American citizen!
Also, Adam and Eve were naked--they realized their nakedness only after they gave into sin-- it's was their shame that made them wanna cover themselves--and that's why we all cover up now because of the sin in the world--no purity in hearts of people so we can't walk around without clothes but God's original plan wasn't clothes! I have never read in any faith book about God giving clothes to Adam and Eve!
I am not a Muslim but I have a lot of muslim friends. I was raised in the US and now living in Canada. Zoya is just like any other Muslim girl who is raised in the west--respecting values and her religion but you can't forget the fact that she's an American citizen--She is a Muslim but she is raised in New York..and honestly I don't find anything wrong with skirts! Clothes do matter but Zoya isn't dressed like a hoochie girl--she looks fine! and she doesn't wear short stuff in India..she only wore it because Najma asked her! + don't get me started on what happens behind the burkas..I know it all!!! Razia and Tanu cover their heads..do I need to say anything else?
If you go by the spoilers, to me it looked like Zoya and Najma were just having a girl time where Najma ended up asking her to show a skirt..and Asad/the priest just happened to be there--it was all just about bad timing..She was just in the house..she wasn't running around in mini to seduce Asad.. She was just having a fun time with Najma!!!
I am pretty sure it is more of a positive thing in the episode than negative--Because Zoya confronted him after he gave his lecture..and then he will grill chicken for his wifey lol...people are fussing over her skirt for no reason..CVs are definitely gonna make a positive point here!!! Looking forward to that!

Hi Vicky, I am glad to see post bashing other than actors today, so very happy to start with..

I agree that your values are not in your clothes, but there is saying "Jaisa desh vaisa bhesh", and Bhopal is conservative place. Have lived there while very young and still have relatives there..
From my own experience in US, Muslim girls here are still conservative compare to others, they usually wear bermudas or capris in summer with no string tops. There are always some exceptions. And that skirt was too mini to tell you the truth..
But still wont let the segment judge it, let the scene air. This is Gul's product and there must be better liable explanation, was she dared by someone. Now if dared, and Zoya doesn't accept challenge is not something we can digest..
Anyways always wanted to see Surbhi in skirts but was thinking more in line of Kareena in Kurbaan, long with flowy tops. She looked uber cute and hot in this one too..

Thank you, Vineeta and its good to see you.😃...i agree that the 'jaisa desh waisa bhesh' theory is correct - even i follow it when i have to go to certain areas in Punjab or some 'humph' areas in Mumbai itself. But that is not the problem here at all - this post is about ppl judging others on the basis of their clothes and linking it to some kind of religious dogma.

Of course, the skirt is very short but if the wearer has no problem, the others should not judge her. In the show, Zoe wore it because Najma asked her to - or else i don't see Zoe as someone who will deliberately do anything against the honour of the house.
