Simple point - you cannot love someone you do not trust. There is a reason love at first sight is a myth and usually lands the couple in the divorce court.

Love in the real world starts out with attraction, dating, building a connection, interests, a friendship, the trust that comes with that and then finally love.

No this is a matter of opinion. As my disclaimer stated we all look at love very differently. One can never argue that they are in the absolute right or in the absolute wrong. So you're most entitled to an opinion, because that's what it is, an opinion.

It's absolutely an opinion. But you are talking of trust and I merely pointed out that one cannot fall in love without it. I m sure married/committed members will see what I mean.

For any relationship to work - marriage or otherwise there is a lot of trust and compromise involved. If there wasn't and we had men who behaved like Asad or other M&B characters there would be no happy marriage or relationship.

And my remark about you statement being a cop out was referring to the fact that you copped out of a healthy debate which could have potentially been interesting.

It is true that trust comes with time. But here he distrusts her completely. There can be any other person - Tom, Dick and Harry against Zoya and he will believe the other person. He does not even give her a chance to explain or listens to her. I am sorry but what they are showing is a very regressive and unhealthy relationship, almost abusive.
