I find Asad's constant statement that Zoya is a misfit and not right for him is very insulting and demeaning. Seriously what does he think he is ?

Nuh Uh.

He is simply not a person of integrity or good character.

I do wonder how come 4 Lions' two consecutive shows can have such d*bag male leads?
We were promised something really appealing in terms of the male lead, and while eye-candy will take the show so far, its the depth of the character that really counts in the long run.

Somehow the leads seem to take U-Turn within 4 months of the show airing, in terms of admirable character!
And dark and brooding *cough* Ms. Gul Khan *cough* does not mean a**hole and a d*bag.
Please don't believe the trashy M&B novels. Those sell by the penny for a pound coz there really are no takers with real women.

Man, we got sold a bill of goods!

But as can be seen from TRPs, they are high and the show is leading because of all the lovey-dovey, song-and-dance routines in the preceding weeks.
How much patience is left for this story that, frankly, has not moved an inch from the point of announcing engagement to the immigration officer?
The society-recognized engagement itself has yet to take place.😕
There really is no story any more.

Jayne

Jayne...Ms Gul is a worshipper of Mills and boons...and we have repeatedly seen from her previous show that she loves to glorify the male characters...and she specially chooses good looking male leads for the very reason. Gorges about the story or any respect for the women here...she loves demeaning women to a point that we don't even recognize the character ...and ofcourse she doesn't believe in repentance ...incidentally the male lead's behavior is justified because he had a dark and difficult past. Honestly, I actually thought being a Muslim herself...she would value the rituals and feelings with it.

I understand a lot of people are angry with this Tanu-Jammy friendship track.

Yes, as a woman who is about to get married to a man, even I would be offended if an old friend acts so touchy feely with my fianc. It's a natural reaction even if there is no fire between the two friends.

We are talking about Asad Ahmed Khan though. This man has never dated a woman, never thought about another woman in romantic terms and has just recently realized that he has fallen for a woman who doesn't fit his image of the perfect woman. He is never been too sensitive towards Zoya's feelings. He either tries to ignore her feelings or just walks away because he gets too overwhelmed. He might be a very intelligent man, but lacks understanding of women. His mother and sister don't count because they just fed into his protective and chauvinistic tendencies during his early years. It's only now that Najma has become more comfortable with her brother. She is no longer terrified of him like used to be. Dilshaad has always had an open relationship with him but that's because out of respect, he does listen to her.

When he first started feeling attracted to Zoya, what did he do? He manhandled her. Is that how a man expresses his attraction for a woman? No. But with time he has learnt that Zoya doesn't appreciate that kind of treatment by him.He has stopped doing that now.

Tanveer has been like a family member or a sister for him. We know he has no romantic inclination towards her. When she initiates contact in the form of hand holding or hugging, he just goes with the flow as he doesn't see any malice on Tanveer's side and as far as he goes, he has no man-woman type of feelings for Tanveer. It's only lately, when he has seen Zoya get jealous, that he has become more self conscious.

This man needs to be taught everything. Somethings just don't come naturally to him. I am sure, when Zoya gives him the cold shoulder and gets upset about his undying faith in Tanveer, he will gradually back off.

Yes, he is being insensitive but I won't call him a hypocrite. He would be, if he was two timing or had such intentions about Tanveer. Ethical behavior is a relative term. If Asad did that willingly, he would be unethical, but he is just oblivious to the sensitivities of a woman's heart.

Zoya is there in his life to teach him many lessons- and one of them shall be 'how to be sensitive to a woman's needs.'

This man hasn't been able to confess yet! Imagine how clueless he is about women.

@ bold red: The question is Sangi, will Zoya ever give him the cold shoulder ????
Ever since this girl is bitten by the love bug, all she does is crying like a crybaby, whenever Asad insults her or says something nasty, she starts crying ...where is the no nonsense Zoya gone ??? That spunky , independent Zoya ????
Whenever these characters fall in love, it seems like their brains and everything else flies out of the window

But I feel the fault also lies with Zoya...Asad has been insulting and hurting Zoya from the start , but she keeps accepting it...my question is WHY ?????
Becoz she is bitten by the love bug ???? Everything in life has a limit, but with Zoya there seems to be no limit at all...she answers him back allright, but that is all it is

Frankly I started despising Asad after the slap fiasco, coz that incident proved to me how hypocritical Asad can be...during that time so many ppl defended him, saying that he was not himself after seeing hi ammi in that condition, but what about all the times thereafter that he insulted and hurt Zoya ????
During that period Mariyam was supposed to be the danger to his family, he slapped Zoya thinking she invited danger to his family, but Mariyam was roaming freely with the family in the hospital...from that time only I saw the double standard mentalities in Asad's character and with the entry of Tanveer, it has become more certain than ever...
Still I wanted to give Asad another chance, thinking he will change for the better, he did change a bit, but the insults he's passing to Zoya have not changed one bit 😡
He keeps throwing in her face that they are opposites, keeps telling her what a misfit she is, always distrust her, always hurt her, only to come with some lame apology afterwards that doesn't make any sense at all...

I think it is about time that Zoya takes a stand and decides whether she is willing to accept this nonsense further or not...As long as she keeps accepting this behaviour of Asad, this guy will never change. He will never learn to appreciate Zoya for who she truly is...

If only Asad could give a little of the trust he showers on Tanveer to the woman he supposedly loves , maybe things would be different...
And with the latest moneky act of Tanveer and the Tanveer jaap by Asad, I think I am done with this show, at least for this week, coz after the MS fiasco of today, I am really fed 😡

it took me a while after the slap fiasco to even tolerate Asad in the same frame as Zoya and that too because I had to accept the fact he is the male lead. But, honestly right now I don't know whether I will continue watching QH or not. As much as I like Zoya...and ofcourse I watch it for Surbhi...I don't think I am willing to tolerate Billo and Asad's so called friendship right now.

Fast Forward ki jai seriously.

I can't even remember the last time I watched a full QH episode.😆 I read the WU and fill in the bits I skipped 😆

Anyway I've begun to look at QH in an isolated manner. Oh that AsYa scene was good, let me swoon for a bit. Does it make any sense in context? Who cares I have time to kill, let me watch some mindless Hindi soap. Pretty much my disposition with any hindi soap these days. Huh.

These days I watch QH because Karan and Surbhi look good. This I think is the biggest insult I can give to the CVs. Even more than turning of my TV.

I was actually beginning to warm up to him, certainly don't hate him as much I hated Gul's previous male lead but if this disregard for Zoya's feelings continues, he'll probably catch up in no time.

But then Zoya is a weak character herself. She puts up with bulls* and I don't like women who think they are not good enough. I loved her in the beginning with the feminism dialogues and sass but now I can't even find that girl in this love sick puppy of a girl.

There I've been meaning to vent out for such a long while. 😆

hi Sangi,

I understand all your explanations and they make sense but I think it's very difficult for me as a woman to accept this so called friendship between these two. It honestly feels inappropriate...which normal man who has supposedly just realized his feelings for a woman sees her shattered and just survived near death experience walks up to console a friend who was unharmed and standing away from the the chandelier...I think a very insensitive man wouldn't do that...I think he is hypocritical with his ways...I am sure if Zoya would be flaunting herself at her friend he would go on with his tehzeeb lecture.

Sangi...I seriously want Zoya walk out with Appi for a while...this treatment is absolutely not acceptable anymore. Asad needs to lose her to realize her worth...but, I know they will not opt fpr a separation track due to trp backfire. They will keep them together fpr the story yo move on.

I agree...I've not seen a boy girl platonic friends get touchy feely like Asad Tanveer, specially when Asad is supposed to be a conservative orthodox MUSLIM!! Muslims never touch friends, leave alone hug them...

😆 I am with you my friend...honestly, it took me a while to even tolerate Asad with the same frame as Zoya after the whole slap fiasco...but just like you I am losing it now. I simply cannot tolerate his repeated dialogue about Zoya is a misfit and she is not right for him...oh c'mon who are you kidding Asad miyan?

Rock...you know Gul's passion with MB heroes😆...I thought she was toning it down in QH😉

I watch it for Surbhi and entirely for Zoya but sadly I cannot recognize her anymore. I have been venting for awhile now.
