Part 18:

In the morning:

He opened his eyes n see zoya in his embrace. He kisses her on her forehead.

Asad: morning love.

Zoya: morning.

Asad: Let's go out.

Zoya: kahan?

Asad: kahin bhi. Tum ready ho jao.

When he was leaving the room, he spots something near the window that was leading to the balconoy.

He picks it up and gaze it closely.

Asad: whats this zoya?

Zoya: what's what?

Asad: this. I guess you dropped it.

It was a golden braclet with something entitled on it.

Asad: you love me that much? Humara naam braclet pe bhi engrave karwa diya.

Zoya: huh?

Asad: what huh? Dekho over here, "A loves Z".

When she saw the braclet, all that came to her mind was, what is it doing here?

Asad: zoya?

He waved a hand in front of her.

Zoya: no woh. Asad just throw this away.

Asad: but why?

Zoya: We'll get a new one, Okay?

Asad: but is mein kya karabi hai? Itna acha toh hai.

Zoya: asad cant you hear me? Meine kahan penk do toh penk do Na. why do u have to ask so many questions? I just don't like the braclet. Apko samaj nahi atta?

She took it from his hand and threw it in the rubbish bin. She turned back and saw asad frowning.

Zoya: im sorry asad. Woh-

Before she could finish, he left the room. The whole day asad didn't talk to her properly, he would just answer but his reply would be short. She admits it was her fault, she shouldn't have shouted at him like that.But she was just angry, she didn't really mean it. She sat on the bench in the balcony crying.

Zoya: Mein kya Karun ammi? I want to tell him everything but what if woh mujse nafrat karne lage? I know he always say ke he love me but who naraz toh honge Na.

Asad was in his room doing his work on laptop. He didn't want to ignore her but it was necessary so that she would tell him everything. He was already missing her since they didn't have a proper conversation since morning.Someone knocks on his door which snapped him out.

Asad: come in.

Najma: hello bhaijaan.

Asad: Hey tamatar. Come sit.

Najma: bhaijaan, can I ask you something?

Asad: haan?

Najma: is everything all right between you and zoya?

Asad: why are you asking tamatar?

Najma: I guess she needs you. She is in the balcony and for you kind information, woh roh rahi hai.

He became anxious and rushed to the balcony to see her. He sees her crying and curse himself in his mind for making her cry. How can he make her cry? He shouldn't have ignored her. She even said she needed time so it was his responsibility to give her time and make her feel better. He sat beside her and held her hand in his.

Asad: im sorry for ignoring you.

Zoya: mujhe baath nahi karni tumse.

She let go of his hand and turned her back towards him. He slid his arms around her wrist and places a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Asad: im sorry Na.
Zoya: don't do that again. Agar tum woh baath jaane keliye kar rahe the then I'll tell you.
Asad: I'm listening.
Zoya: the bracelet is not mine. It's my ex-boyfriend's. When I was in collage, there was this guy who was too into me. He'd follow me around everywhere and he told all his friends to message me about how much he loves me. He was a psycho Asad. Mein bohot annoyed ho gayi thi and I had no idea what to do Toh meine socha ke I'll be with him for a few days and leave him. Uski bhi khuavish puri ho jaigi and he won't disturb be anymore but obviously Aisa hua Nahi. Woh kuch zada hi possessive ho Gaya. He would beat up any other guy who even just glimpse at me.
Asad: You serious? I can't blame him tum ho hi itni khubsurat. Acha uske baad kya hua?
Zoya: Once he beat up my guy firend, woh sirf friend tha and he was like you are cheating on me. I was too angry with his behavior Toh I phone him telling him that I wanna breakup with him and that's it! Uske baad toh woh totally pagal hogaya. You know what he did?
Asad: suicide?
Zoya: no. he came to my house from the window in the middle of the night. If that was not worse enough, appi aur Jiju apne friend ki wedding attend karne Gaye the. Imagine me all alone in the house with that psycho and Joh mere saath woh karne wale the- Mujhe Toh soch ke bhi gin atti hai.

Her voice cracked up and her eyes walled up when she focused on what he tried to do with her. She memorizes the details of the night unmistakably as if it had happenend yesterday.

Flashback:

He came from the window which shocked her. He was wearing the golden bracelet which he always wore to show zoya that he loves her very much.

Zoya: altaf tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?

Altaf: why did you do this to me zoya?

Zoya: kya kiya meine? Sab kuch toh tum hi kar rahe ho! First you beat up my friend and now tum mere ghar tak ponch aye?

Altaf: you know I love you very much zoya. Don't do this to me zoya! Are you angry with me? You're dumping me?

He held her from the neck making her back touch the wall. She was out of breath, but still struggled to get out of his grip.

Zoya: altaf you're' hurting' me.

Altaf: no zoya! You hurt me. You broke my heart! You cannot do this to me! See you are in my heart. I will take you away with me. Your mine only mine!

Zoya: please... Altaf

He let go of her and make an innocent face.

Altaf: zoya baby what happened to your neck? Who did this to you? Chorunga nahi mein usse!

Zoya: you did this dammit!

Altaf: I did it? Sorry baby. Are you hurt? Chot toh nahi lagi? Its okay I won't hurt you! Today I will make you mine forever.

He went back to his angry young man mood and picked her up in his arms dumping her on the bed. He lay on top of her and kissed her forhead and moving downwards.

Zoya: Move away you rapist! choro mujhe! Altaf don't! Please aisa mat karo!

Altaf: abhi toh mein kuch shurur bhi nahi kiya zoya.

He tored the sleeve of her shirt and unbutton the first button.

Zoya: khuda keliey mujhe chor do!

Altaf: khuda keliey kaise chorun? Tum toh meri ho!

They heard the door bell ring and then zoya's jiju spoke up.

Jiju: zoya darwaza kolo.

Appi: zoya hum chabi lene bhol Gaye the!

Jiji: zoya!!!

They were thumping on the door hardly. She was relieved that they came on time

Altaf: kal milenge hum zoya!

He jumped out of the window.

Flashback ends~

Asad: zoya? You there?

Zoya: Asad, he tried to ... ra...pe me.

She burst into tears. Asad was upset listening to this. At one point he was heartbroken but on the other note, he was contented that she shared her pain with him, no one else but him. He squeezes her securely.

Asad: shh... don't cry. Tumein aise Kiu Lega ke mein tumein chor dunga. Tum Toh meri jaan ho zoya. Koi bala apni jaan ke bina kaise jiyega.
Zoya: Asad. The bracelet.
Asad: what about it?
Zoya: woh mere kamre mein kaise aiye?
Asad: you mean last night tumne jisse dekha woh-

Zoya: I'm afraid yes. He found me Asad. I don't know what he wants from me. Mein kya karungi Ab?
Asad: zoya mein hoon Na. I won't let anything happen to you. Do you trust me?

She nodded her head and cuddle with him closely. They watch the brightness of moon shining over them while someone was looking at them with loath. Zoya was very contented because of the love of her life sitting next to her. He made her feel special and comfortable no matter what the situation is. Sometimes she wonder if she is actually suitable for him because he deserve someone more worthy, someone who can sparkle his life even brighter than a diamond or the luminosity of a lightened bulb.

Asad: zoya?
Zoya: hmm?
Asad: kya soch rahi ho?
Zoya: yehi ki meine konse good deeds kiye Jo Mujhe tum mile. I don't deserve you; you deserve someone better then me.
Asad: mujhe aur kya chai hoga jab mere pass puri duniya hai.
Zoya: matlab?
Asad: see. You are my world and I already have you. Technically dekha jai toh I have the whole world with me.
Zoya: I love you Asad.
Asad: I love you more.

On the other hand, Dilshaad was preparing dinner.

DS: oho! Yeh dono abhi tak nahi aye. Najma tum beitho mein Asad and zoya ko bulati hoon.

Dilshaad was about to go when she felt najma grab her from her wrist. She saw najma shaking her head preventing her to leave.

Najma: let them spend some time alone ammi. You never what's stored for us in the box for next day. Isn't that what happened between you and dad? You weren't talking to him and the next day, he had an accident. Let zoya and bhaijaan sort everything out ammi. I don't want the same thing happen to them.

Dilshaad was saddened by recalling her past. Najma saw the sadness and realise what she said. Najma hugged her mother while crying.

Najma: I'm sorry ammi. I didn't want to-
DS: you weren't wrong najma.

She caressed her checks moving her hair behind her ear.

DS: my daughter is a grown up now. Najma what you said was true. We should always sort everything out in way before it's too late.
