Thank you all for writing. Agree with all of you. I really felt so much of respect for Asad yesterday when I saw him sticking to his principles. Yes we seldom find such a character in real life.

You know how much he hates them and its a raw wound in his heart that has never healed. Be very very cautious about what you do.

I know CV's are gearing up for heart wrenching drama but I am little uncomfortable in my seat thinking about it. I know it will pain us a lot seeing Zoya's hurt and pain and Asad exploding on her facewith rage but this girl brought it upon her herself this time and nothing can save her from Asad's wrath, not even Dilshad.
In my weekend post I casually wrote that when Asad will come to know about Zoya's visit to Ayaan's engagement he will deport her himself but here seriously he will try doing it. He is not someone to mess with. I know Zoya does press his buttons and that is why he has fallen for her but she has to learn when and where to do it. Timing is very important here.
This week will be a roller coaster ride for sure.

Loving someone is accepting them for who they are and not freaking out every time they do something which doesn't fall in line with your "expectations"...

Love is not about constantly judging people only by the yardstick that you hold dear, and then find out later that you were all wrong and yet not learn anything from that..

Love is not conditional, love doesn't abandon someone just because they chose to do something which you despise and are touchy about...

Love is not about lashing out first and then thinking later...

Love is loving and accepting someone despite all of the above...

Asad is yet not in love with Zoya. He is attracted to her as she questions everything that he holds dear, she breaks down every tradition, every rule that he has ever set, she has desire to set righ everything that she feels is wrong cos she cant see anyone hurting! He finds her a challenge, a change from the women in his life who have always gone along with his wishes...

Yes Zoya is immature, but I love the fact that notwithsanding how many times Asad has been nasty, rude, insulting and physically violent with her, she refuses to change who she is. She has a simple child like acceptance of the fact that Asad matters to her, she is yet to realise that she loves him!

When the volcano does erupt, she will be the one who will be completely devastated for she will find that Asad has turned from the man who didn't want her to go to a man completely ruthless in his dealings - incur his wrath and it doesn't matter who you are or what you mean to him! Its either his way or the highway! Rude awakening after a pleasant dream!

I will come back to you later on this! I have to run to work now. Very nice post but Love as you said is that ultimate feeling which we love to see in films or read in books. In reality Love has a different aspect in every one's life and I am happy the CV's understand Asad's character to the T and they have not budged from that picture that they have portrayed so far as far as Asad is concerned.
And they have stuck to Zoya's character as well. Only Zoya being Zoya can go to this function uninvited because she is impulsive and I am not blaming her. Its again the character sketch that comes here.
To Asad Love means nothing right from the beginning. Its against his wishes he has fallen for a girl and he doesn't want to admit it to himself as well. To him nothing is important than his mother, no one & I mean no one is above his ammi and any one, be it Ayaan, Zoya or Najma or he himself, if anyone does anything that will compromise his mother's respect, status or character he will not spare that person no matter how much he Loves that person! That is his bottom line character trait!
So don't go by the usual Love description or notion but go by the character sketch that the CV's has made so far so distinctly! Frankly if Zoya suddenly becomes very wise and mature like Asad it won't be palatable to me because she will lose the spark and if Asad forgives Zoya with open arms mellowing down he will lose the respect I have for him because it will be totally go against his character.
To me character consistency is very important be it in a show or in a book, Once the creative loses a grip on this I lose all interest.
Love triumphs over every thing yes but there are certain issues or factors in one's life which has remained like a scar in one's soul can't be replaced or removed only with Love, for that a whole lot of understanding, patience, trust and faith is required and Asad and Zoya has not reached that stage yet.
Ok gotta go now. Have a good day.

fab post.asads character has a lot of depth which sadly zoya lacks at this point.the fact is that it is not asad who is emotionally challenged.he is quite aware of his own feelings.he chooses not to act on them, because as we see zoya uptil now has shown no indications of her own feelings for asad excpt for attraction.on the contrary it is zoya who seems to be running away from her feelings.she is yet to accept or even acknowledge any love for asad.and the part where asad narrates their first meeting was so touching.ksg has performed this scene with so much quiet intensity and sincerity.even if i was not a fan of his uptil now(which i am), i would have been one just from that single scene.

agree with you 100% - great post, well written

Zoya should respect Asad's position to not go to Ayaan's engagemnet. It is a very personal matter and Zoya shold not meddle no matter how well intentioned it is

That scene was, at least by me, totally unexpected (Thank God!). SO when it came, it was overwhelmingly wonderful to watch. I agree Asad is very deep in nature and I loved how he talked about the purity and sacredness of an engagement what ever the reason.

Such a well written post! I totally agree with you, especially when Asad backed out of the engagement saying that he didn't want to make a mockery of such a rasam. My heart really went out to him, I mean we all know he would love to have Zoya all to himself, and he could've easily gone ahead with the sagaai to fulfill this. But he didn't want to do it under a false context, and so he put his feelings to one side and verbalized what the reality was: that they were making a mockery out of something serious. It's true, Zoya ought to learn a thing or two about how to be more mature from Asad (:

I too loved him for how deep his emotions are and how he values things and people he loves.Asad is very dense character with lot of depth and layers. Zoya is chirpy, but she lives in bubble. She lives in moment and is very transparent. Love the way they are, both have their pros and cons..

Zoya will always be Zoya : lively, chirpy, bubbly, living in her own dreamworld and wanting what almost every girl once dreamt about in her life...prince charming on a white horse
Asad will also always be Asad: more practical in his approach to life...more strict with all the Tehzeeb and Tameez tag all over it

But in a way I am happy that Asad is against a fake engagement, coz he's right !!!
Engagement and Marriage are sacred and should not be used as a joke, like we see mostly happening in other tv shows where ppl get engaged, married at the drop of a hatt and I am glad that the CV's are clear about this matter
So Asad saying that these institutions like engagement means serious business to him, I am glad he did and that is also within the characterizations of Asad...I am happy they did not compromise on that...
I guess Zoya will learn eventually that not everything in live is about roses and moonlight...she will learn to deal with all this the moment she comes to realization of her feelings and comes to terms with them...
