In one of the very first episodes, Dilshad had mentioned that Asad needs to understand that those who are different in their tehzeeb and taur tareeke are not necessarily bad. And, in many ways, he has. He has tolerated the differences in their personalities, and though in denial, has always stepped in to help Zoya, for his personal emotions. He stopped her because he cares for her.

Zoya, on the other hand is yet to outgrow her fairy tale ideas of romance, listen to her heart or question his motives. She is affected by him, but it is more like a personal victory for her at this time (she is a social butterfly, everyone likes her, so Asad is more of a challenge for her) than her own emotions. She knows he *likes* her, but she does not realize that this like is by any nature romantic. She knows he is difficult with emotions, but she merely has shut herself to believe, that this makes him difficult to advance in friendships or new relationships. She has no idea that he, is already in love with her. Which is why, she thinks that when he mentioned *engagement* it was merely an idea to stop her.

Zoya has not yet fully realized what she feels for Mr. Khan either.

And, Asad, is partly in denial, and partly adamant, that Zoya is not the right one for him. He is am emotionally complex person, and definitely would crave for someone who is atleast sensitive to his needs. What attracts him towards Zoya, is exactly what distracts him from her. She is free, spirited, jovial - he loves these aspects of her, and is drawn towards her due to that, as it gives him a strange *sukoon*, but at the same time his practical side tells him that this will be a match doomed for failure, as she really lacks the emotional maturity to handle him, or his issues. Chemistry for sure can happen with anybody, but it is some attributes that keep people together. Asad and Zoya, in their own ways, have not yet progressed to that level of friendship/relationship. There is no trust, no companionship yet, just a strong strong chemistry. And, being the more mature one, Asad realizes this.

As both Zoya and Asad grow in their relationship, this will be a love story to watch. I just hope that they do not rush the *romance* for TRP sake, and let the characters slowly unfold themselves and evolve over time.

I agree...

What I don't understand is why every girl of Gul's Drama wants their lovers/husband's Family in "Hum saath saath hain"...even though while doing this they only hurt the person they love the most...I mean ok, its their JOB to make sure a Family stay like a Family but still...Why messing around with the wounds that are very much open and raw...

well said👏 i completely agree. I love both Asad and zoya. Asad has broken down some of his walls for Zoya, in opening up to her or saving her everytime, being there for her, helping her find her Abbu. Basically hes going out of his way, doing things hes never done before while confining his normal ways. Zoya however, could be a bit more serious. I love her and her shayaris and comedy immensely but sitll would be nice to see her stepping out of her usual range a little more often.Like when dlashad slapped Asad and she spoke to him and lended him support. But then again, i guess this is where and why their love is growing, inspite of their differences and approaches to life and their feelings, they cant deny that somethign is pulling them toward each other.

Cant wait for more mitwas and in the future , love confessions ❤️

I completely agree with you! Respect for Asad certainly increased after that episode! The way he believes in what is right is something worth a praise! And for him, his decisions are finally, though it might turn out wrong later but some places you really need to be adamant on your decisions!

You know what, I seriously don't understand this attitude, not only yours but of many in the forum. Do you watch the show only for Zoya? Or do you watch for both Asad and Zoya? Frankly I watch for both and if any one is replaced I would leave watching, be it Asad or be it Zoya. Then why do you separate them and side and argue for one against the other? I would argue and fight for Zoya against Tanveer, that will make sense but not against Asad. Because Zoya is incomplete without Asad and so is Asad without Zoya. They act as counterfoil of each other. So when I see these partial statements made against them it disappoints me to no length!
If the CV's are spinning a story for us that have us hooked for the lead pair then we as audience should have the maturity and responsibility to watch it as its been portrayed and take the story as it is meant to be taken and watched.
This doesn't meain we shouldn't criticise the characters if they go wrong, yes of course we would and will. When Zoya was shown with so much maturity after the shoot out at Khan residence I loved it but again the CV's regressed her character to what she was earlier. I didn't write in the forum back then but wanted to mention this. Again when Asad was shown acting like a jerk after Tanveer's introduction, I found he was doing that without justification & I did mention it here. I found it very odd specially after the 'bolna halke' and confession episode. Sometime he was blowing off at Zoya by just being mean and Zoya was shown acting desperate. It wasn't palatable to me and I mentioned it here but then too l didn't take any sides as to Zoya is better & I like her more or Asad is better and I like him more.
To me as I write time and again that character consistency is very important to me. Characters grow and evolve gradually and steadily but when it is otherwise then I complain directly to the CV's because they are the one who lose the grip and thus the characterisation suffers. But please don't take sides of the lead pair, in this way you are breaking them apart instead of seeing them as one entity, or as one soul two bodies.
And lastly this post was just to appreciate Asad for yesterday's episode because his principles and ethics outshone everything else and the upcoming heart break that will be shown could have been prevented provided Zoya didn't act in impulse to attend Ayaan's engagement. But then again Zoya will be Zoya and Asad will be Asad no matter what we want and infact as long as I can relate to them I am fine. Even the mistakes of Zoya I can relate to her character & I am happy for that. I don't exppect her to be wise and mature like Asad and neither do I expect Asad to be so childish and immature like Zoya...if they change then they will lose their appeal to me. Both have flaws and strengths and we have accepted them with their weaknesses as well as their high points, so lets keep it like that instead of comparing them against each other.
When we talk about Love we often talk about the notion of Love itself but in true Love a couple goes through many tribulations and hardships and challenges, when they overcome them with their strengths and understanding then only they last the tests of Love. They grow in love, rise in love but I don't think they change their basic characteristics in love and neither expects the other partner to change for some role model that they have in their mind or impose their notions on them, if they do then its not Love, its love of convenience which results in domination and manipulation.
This is my POV rest its upto you guys. Sorry if I sound harsh or offended you but just had to put forward my reasoning.
