Ok, so i just read Rin's post on Asad's fear being Zoya's biggest reality and this thought instantly struck my mind..Am sure most of u have watched Jab We Met..One of my all time favorite love storiesđł A very well written film which wonderfully captures the journey of a lovelorn & depressed businessman who feels the weight of the world on his shoulders and a full of life & chatty young girl who takes life as it comes..To me personally( and the director as well), the turning point in the story is that one scene where Geet and Adi literally switch characters..Geet is all depressed and lost her chirpy demeanor after being dumped by her boyfriend and Adi has realized thanks to Geet that life is far too precious to be spent sulking in a corner and has a renewed zeal to live life to the fullest..In this particular scene, you see Adi donning Geet's role and goading her to abuse her ex-boyfriend and flush it all out of her system..She is all depressed and tentative in the beginning but once she gets into character, she literally uses every other swear word available in the dictionaryđ I love this scene cos there is a total role reversal and Adi does to Geet what she had unintentionally and so wonderfully done to Adi in the first half of the film..The beauty of the story is that Geet has no idea how much she has been instrumental in re-building Adi's life but he recognizes that and falls irrevocably in love with her..Ok, so the point of my post is that wouldn't it be wonderful if we see something similar in QH? Zoya is similar to Geet in more ways than one and while Adi and Asad are completely different from each other, the biggest similarity i find is their attitude towards life. Both feel that life has been extremely cruel to them and consider the weight of the world to be on their shoulders. They are extremely pessimistic and refuse to see that fate has dished out meaner things to others in their life..And yes, Zoya can be to Asad what Geet was to Adi if only he lets her be..So sample this..I believe Asad will be fully transformed once he realizes his dad was innocent all along( though am not convinced, thats what the CVs are trying to show)..The guy is damaged primarily because of Rashid's abandonment and the falling apart of his parent's marriage..So once this issue is cleared, majority of Asad's issues will be sorted out..On the other hand, once Zoya comes face to face with her traumatic past, it is but natural for the eternal optimist in Zoya to give up..From her conversation with Asad the other day, its obvious that she is wiling to give her dad a chance and still gives him the benefit of doubt..So we can well imagine her condition when she is confronted with the reality of her father and his double standards..The fact that he was involved in her mothers's murder only make matters worse..Now wouldn't it be wonderful to see a total role reversal between Asad and Zoya? An Asad who has a new conviction and positive outlook thanks to Zoe's influence trying to bring life into the now depressed Zoya who has given up on all that she once stood for..Imagine Asad doing all the goofy things and Zoe being all stoic and resisting his charmsđ I for one would love to see this scenario..Asad basically trying to give back all that Zoya gave unintentionally to Asad and and family by just being Zoyađł
P.S.Really sorry for the long post..Kudos to whoever manged to finish reading itđ
