I would love if this happens..

But in JWM, he left her with her dream(guy) and later found the girl how the one gave him zest for life, was all broken. So does that means he will leave her to find her family first only to find later how that family has broken her, and try to make her smile again..

I wish they could take on this path actually, with Asad in still denial mode say yes to Tanveer that leaves Zoya all sad to leave the house. He doesnt go through marriage in the end as he couldnt deny his love. He very happy to atlast have his heart and mind in sync, find broken Zoya..

Nice analyitical view but I just dnt see any connection to JWM or see it going that way either!Like you've mentioned Adi and Asad are totally two different character's...one has shades of grey and the other totally had none.even with Zoya I dnt see the Geet similarities at all!Yes ..they both are loud and bubbly who want to live life to the fullest but Geet still has that strong independant edge over Zoya,,,she has that spunk that makes her stand out from the crowd.

@shaz-I din mean to compare the story with JWM. Its just that i'd love to see a similar scene where there is total reversal of roles between Asad and Zoya..That scene i mentioned of JWM is my favorite from the movie and i would love to see something similar play out between Asad and Zoya sometime in the future when Zoe is totally broken..As i mentioned, i don see any similarity between Asad and Adi apart from their pessimistic attitude towards life..And yeah, Geet seems to be more feisty than Zoya cos poor Zoe has been mellowed down to suit the taste of the Indian soap watching audience😆

Poor Zoe has been mellowed down a bit too much to cater to the Desi palate or else she was potentially the next Geet in the making!😃

Roger I know you didn't mean to compare but it happens yaar, especially when watching Desi shows...you tend to look for forsadowing resemblances to great epics of literature and Movies,so there's nothing wrongwith bringing analytical summary of comparisons to character's no matter how irrelevant...comeon.we've all probably done it in Eng Lit at some point of our school lives...like comparing two diferent character's from two completely different novels,two people who are poles apart and as different as chalk and cheese but still a tendency to look for underlying similiarites lied in how it translated to us as individuals.😊

Btw I really loved JWM and would have loved to see some similiarities...especially would have loved it if Zoe had more of that energetic spunk and zest and would have also more than anything liked to see Asya relationship develop the way Geet/Adi's did...from dislike to friendship and than to love.This gradual build up brought about the sincerity that touched alll chords of the heart!

Excellent post!

Jab We Met is one of my fav movies - I can't remember how many times I've watched it. 😊 Your comparison of QH with JWM was quite apt. As you point out there are many similarities, some of which I am sure are intentional. And the others (like an upcoming role reversal beth AAK and Zo) seem eminently logical. I've always felt that JWM is on the PH's creative inspiration radar. I remember that the song 'Aaoge jab tum saajna, angana phool khilenge' was used as bg in IPK for Khushi's dream sequence during the kidnapping track. Frankly, if they want creative inspiration from JWM I'm all for it, because as you say it was such a classy movie.
