If zoya visa expires then she has to stay in india ...

Zoya is born in india so she has indian nationality ...
N she also hav newyork nationality ...

If she wont go back to newyork or her passport gets lost then she has to stay back in india ...

So chill zoya is not going back to newyork but she will stay in india as she will lost her passport ...n will also miss the flight ...

Her api n jiju will be not happy with that ...

As there is noone in india for her ...she will stay in asad house ...

It may happen that her api n jiju come back ...but take time .
..as they hav to apply for visa take tickets n come ...

Zoya will search a job ...as her job in newyork has gone ..
Or it may happen that she work with asad on a project given to her from newyork ...

No that's not how it works... If you live in a country for 3 or more years especially in Canada or USA, you are most likely to obtain a citezinship and passport of that country... If your Passport or Visa expires, you must return to the place of where you have the citizenship of passport of... So if her Visa expires, she has to go back to New York by law... In fact, technically you should return before your expiration date... She can go back to India if she comes back to New York and renews her passport and Visa

I dont think so..She cant have dual nationality. If she is USA citizen then she cant be Indian citizen. India does not allow dual nationality..

And if she was a citizen of India.. why would she need a visa to go there in the first place? XD

I don't think it has been mentioned so far where exactly zoya was born...it's possible she was born in New York...:/

^^ It doesn't matter if she was born in India. The fact that she needs a visa to enter India proves that she isn't a citizen. If her visa expires she would be forced to go back to the US.

Yes she lived here for the first couple of years of her life but the remainder of it has been spent in the States and it has been established that she is a US citizen. She wouldn't need a visa to enter India otherwise.

And to the OP- India does not have dual citizenship. She can either be American or Indian and she's American. What she could have got (and I dont know why the writers didn't write it this way) is an OCI card or at least a PIO.

Zoya can be a US citizen irrespective of her birth Place. However, she could get an OCI (overseas card for india) with which she would not need to apply for any VISA's to visit India and could stay as long as she desires. SHe could also live in India Permanently and still keep USA citizenship.
