I'm okay with his behavior with Ayaan, Najma. They're his closest sibs after all. But come on now, how many of us feel the same love for a friend we haven't met in 20 freaking years? Itni dosti thi toh pehle Milne ki koshish kyu nahi ki? 😆 And for heavens sake, which sar dakhne wali woman has ever hugged any guy who is not her bro/dad? Things change after puberty my dear CVs. (I should make a note that friends can surely hug and in this day and age it doesnt have to mean anything romantic but a guy like Asad who is always on the podium ranting away about his definition of culture and tehzeeb is simply not one to do so). just to have a redemption track, Asad is made to slap Zoya, just to have a jealousy track, Asad is made to hug Tanveer. He is effectively being turned into a hypocrite. I think I'm angry 😆

And Zoya bechari. I want to give her a hug now.

Okay, come on guys, give him a chance! Have we all forgotten that he hugged Zoya and kissed her forehead with a look of complete desperation on his face when he rescued her? And they weren't even friends at that point. I don't think it's out of character for him to hug Tanveer at all, especially considering she's just been saved from a bus accident.

They weren't friends but undercurrents of strong attraction and care were already there and the danger brought forth the thus far unexpressed emotions in Asad. I think his romantic inclination toward her was a huge factor in how he reacted the way he did.

Do you think he's going to have flashbacks and annoyance at his lack of self control after he hugs Tanveer the way he did with Zoya? I doubt it. I might be proved wrong but for now, I don't think so.

Btw I like your other post and I'm looking forward to the Tanveer track. I just don't like the butchering of characters.

You truly spoke my mind!

I dont have any problem with Tanveer frankly, I dont care much for her and this jealousy track as long as it doesn't ruin Asya relationship and anyway they were bound to bring in some girl one point or another so I accepted it.
But what you said about Asad is exactly what I had a problem with, My issue is with him more so than Tanveer.
For a guy who has from episode 1 kept ranting about how woman and men should behave in the name of culture and tehzeeb, suddenly has forgotten all about this when he out of nowhere meets his 20 years back ki bachpan ki dost??
Ok they might been inseparable friends when they were 6 or 7 years old for all I care but still I dont see how after 20 years of separation, he gives her as equal as care and attention as he would give his dear and close ones like Ayaan and Najma.
I get it she has been in accident but running like that, hugging her so tightly and nursing her wounds as if she has always been by his side for past 20 years? :-/
Im sorry but thats a lil hard to digest.

I really don't like how they keep twisting his original character sketch according the tracks they want to play out and sadly they don't give a satisfactory ending to some tracks.

I am sorry but why zoya heartbroken ? she was never shown fallen for asad there was just an attraction between them till now ...

And why everytime when she gets injured , when falls in trouble asad have to be there but when Asad needs her support and really want her to be by his side she backstab him sooo yes she is doing this for thruth but does she has prove that rashid is innocent and still went against Asad ... When zoya needs shoulder to cry on asad needed , but when asad need support in her she does plan against him
Wowww ...

so this is the right time she understand asad is not wall he has emotions too , feelings too...

I am loving the Tanveer track it will bring many shades in the story

I agree that the romantic inclination definitely played a role in Asad's reaction to Zoya specifically and that he won't be confused/frustrated at hugging Tanveer in the same way! My only point is that it's not out of character for him to do something like this, given that we have precedent.

I too don't like having characters butchered! But I think that's the point here, Asad's always harping about tehzeeb and such and he doesn't look at himself and how he might be wrong, and I'm sure the upcoming track with Tanveer will finally make him take a step back and think twice about what he preaches and how appearances don't always match the interior self.

And thanks! :)
