I honestly do not understand what the problem is? Why wasn't he called a hypocrite when he hugged Zoya an episode back? She was stressed, broken and shaken he offered support, and in this case he meets his close friend and in such a situation he hugged her out of concern and relief, I think there is nothing that contradicts what he has been preaching till now. And we'll know how closely bonded Asad and Tanveer were and know why his reaction was so frantic too.

LOL. agreed yaar. But he didn't have to go and hug her as if his life depended on it.

Having said that, I am really looking forward to this track. Nothing like one of them being jealous. Jealousy tracks will add a lot of tadka to the story. And honestly, if Tanveer is anything like Mr. Khan's "ideal" wife, she will bore him to death.😆

I'll keep reservations on why Asad ran, hugged, and tended to her wounds the way he did.
If he hadn't met her in 20 years then his reaction seems so out of place. But considering they were on the phone with each other, I think they've been in close contact and remained friends through the years, which also explains how he recognizes her instantly. There is no way anyone would react that way for an estranged lost friend of that many years no matter how close you once were.

My conclusion is that Asad and Tanveer have always been friends and still are to this day. Otherwise Asad's reaction is kind of hard to believe.
