Asad can't emote????? Hugging tanveer like despo - Page 4

My reaction exactly. He talks about culture and manners and how men and women should behave and now he openly runs and hugs his 20 years old friend who he hasn't met in years and looks after her wounds. Seriously, I get he was upset and everything but I think that was out of his character. I don't think I would react such a way for a person who I haven't met in 20 years. Hell, if I don't meet my friends in 2-3 years, I'll most probably won't feel that close to them and this is Asad we are talking about. When he hugged Zoya during Mangalpur incident was acceptable because there was always an attraction between them and she was living in their house for months. She almost died in front of his eyes, so his desperation was understandable but here I don't understand.

u all have to understand asad in not zoya's bf or husband tanveer is his friend so i thing friends share hug its not bid deal

i know know u all talk about his character as u say he is behaving out of his character but i don't thing from my view every person has one person in her/his life with whom we can every problem ect ect i thing in asad life its tanveer

I agree that the romantic inclination definitely played a role in Asad's reaction to Zoya specifically and that he won't be confused/frustrated at hugging Tanveer in the same way! My only point is that it's not out of character for him to do something like this, given that we have precedent.

I too don't like having characters butchered! But I think that's the point here, Asad's always harping about tehzeeb and such and he doesn't look at himself and how he might be wrong, and I'm sure the upcoming track with Tanveer will finally make him take a step back and think twice about what he preaches and how appearances don't always match the interior self.

Rhap I will eat crow if we ever see Asad comparing his lack of 'tehzeeb' (hugging Tanveer) with Zoya's lack of tehzeeb (wearing jeans, being messy). He will compare Tanveer and Zoya at some point and will end up realizing what a gem Zoya is, but self introspection to the point of criticizing his own actions- doubt it. But yeah I will be back to give him and the CVs due credit if and when it happens.

I don't think it was out of character, and asad is definitely not emotionless. He has a big heart but he doesn't show it.

Rin and Kiran, I'm happy to see people sharing my opinion. I too am willing to change my opinion depending on how the actual episode plays out. Who knows maybe he imagines Tanveer to be Zoya 😆

I don't think I will freely share my problems even with my sister, let alone a friend, after not seeing her for 20 years!!! Maybe they were in touch via mail or skype- I mean he's always on his laptop!

Same here dear, Im willing to change my opinion IF the hug isn't as we are thinking of it to be and same goes with Asad-Tanveer angle.

@bold: I will shout from the rooftops and sing praises of Tanveer if THAT is why he hugs her 😆
