So yes, it's the serial that is at fault.

And about what they showed, like I said elsewhere, even if they did show it, an acceptance that what he did was wrong irrespective of whether Zoya was at fault or to, would have to some extent addressed this. But that's of why was shown.

As for the serial, if they claim to want to portray social issues and are not doing it in a responsible manner, then an an audience, we have a right to speak up.

its not the serial's fault they have to show something bad then only they can show something gud n that happens in every serial n happens since a long time , it wasn't shown so that than they can show as a romantic thing it was shown to show that the character asad loves his mom a lot n was scared bcoz his mom was his life n he couldn't let anything happen to her he thought its bcoz of zoya his mom was in that state so he slapped his emotions were shown which isn't wrong bcoz we all wen angry do stupid things like fight with our best friend or argue with our parents to prove something n lastly if a person learns how to slap from a serial then its the person's entire fault not serials ...

@red

True that.

But no harm in toning down the violence, right?

The point is not about learning to slap... You don't need a serial to learn that. That is baser human instinct.

The point is whether that is acceptable. And if one doesn't show it as not ok, chances are impressionable people will think that it's ok.

Ideally he needn't have slapped.

But he did... Now what?

Can we show how it was wrong not just because she was not to blame but because the action per se was wrong, unless he had done it in self defence?

I'm late on this!

Thanks Laila for putting this into motion. It's about time we all became more aware as consumers of entertainment and not act like the mindless lumps (who'll buy anything) the industry thinks we are.

But there are posts that are disturbing here... That justify the action, that suggest its ok for someone to vent their anger or fear by physically abusing another person.

The worry is: are such portrayals not doing enough to show this behaviour is not unacceptable? Again it's not just about QH only. We spoke because we saw the impact and influence of this.

eveything has two sides here also its same all was shown was the emotion of Asad, it wasn't shown to show a man can do that or like i hear to show a romantic thing 🤔 as its true in anger even an intelligent person behaves foolishly n that is a fact which is y we say anger should be controlled 😊 n don't worry as i said audience r intelligent but if someone has to do it they will do it even without watching the show so we can't blame the show for it ...

Its necessary to become active in real life than warrior of virtual world.

exactly its easy to target a show n say ohh they r showing wrong 😊

I can't believe this is still going on! Not going to get into the argument about whether it's right or wrong, but seriously coming to the forum after a week and seeing all this STILL going on is just irritating. I hoped the matter would have settled down now, but evidently not! Anyway I just hope all this gets over soon and people learn to MOVE ON, cos some people just watch the show purely for entertainment sake and have the common sense to not get influenced by a piece of fiction! And for those people all this just ruins the atmosphere of the forum! Yeah you have all the rights to voice your opinions and good for you that you wrote a letter, but is it really necessary to post it on the forum and have the same discussion over and over again?!

Anyway I'm out of here! Hope this matter is over and done with whenever I come on next :)
