I took more offense to Asad's jerk like behavior in these instances: when he demeans her on the day of the cricket match, when she gets a bruise because of his abrupt movement while they are handcuffed and he doesn't bother acknowledging/apologizing, we he holds her by the shoulder and shoves her against the wall after the ambulance/Ayaan scene, when he tells her to get out of the house before he gets back from his meeting in the same episode, when he did not apologize for the Akram fiasco he put her through. Overall, he has been so very demeaning and condescending. I thought..wow what an a**. And I still feel that way.

On the other hand, when he holds her by the neck during the bond sequence I took it as a joke and I still do (although the arm twisting was jerk like behavior- unacceptable). When he slapped her I took it as understandable and human behavior (although were I in Zoya's place, there would be absolutely no scope of a relationship with a guy who has slapped me) and I still hold these two diverging POVs simultaneously about the same incident as of now. And today's harsh words- I know I do not have the ability to slap anyone at all or manhandle them like he did but I do think I have the potential to be as caustic as he was with his words. I think the slap was worse because in addition to being hurtful, it was emotionally insulting..it clearly shows that they are not equals and God knows why Zoya would wanna be with someone who does not treat her as an equal all the time.

Regardless of how I feel about his individual actions-whether I think they are acceptable or unacceptable, understandable or not, I'm appalled at how he has been treating his guest. And what's also sickening is that Zoya is putting up with it- she has no solid reason to do so. He's exploiting their power difference and she is letting him. 🤢

@McdarcyfanRedemption is initially what they promise.but dissapointment follows as the half hearted, half baked attemp at repentance is shown and by the looks of things this seems to be going down that track of the other Four Lions show too. Here we've got the male lead offering a measly sorry along with a cup of coffee, that he himself went to the trouble of making and we got fan girls turning to mush.Ater the guy violently gives her a back hander of a slap,in the processs making the girl bleed from her hand and not her face...dnt know how that happened there by the way! and the girl even accepts the coffee...oh puhleeeze!..where's the wall again?...really need to bang me head hard this time round!🤢

I have just read all the discussions here. And I think you are wonderful to write against abuse of women so passionately.I live in an international community and have friends from all over the world, and believe me abuse of women happens in every society.
I remember taking great offence once long back, when a British friend said that she is shocked everytime she lands onto an indian channel whilst surfing the TV. " Without fail, there is a man hitting a women" she said.Foolishly I jumped in to defend my culture and my people. We had a so called civilsed tiff. Stupid me!
The thing is reel or real--- who cares. Whatever you do or you show on TV reflects onto your culture. Please! we do not want to show such scenes nor do we need to suppport it, however wonderfully the actor portrays it.Infact it is worse when the actor is talented.
Young romantics should know --- That it takes one slap to start a series of abuse. When he raises his hand the first time he will find it easier to raise it the second time. So reel or real , when he happens to hit you (in anger, in frustration, in hurt or in fear) show him the door!

In two weeks, he will be a tormented soul when he has fallen hard for Zoya but he can't marry her ( for whatever reason).

What I am trying to say here is that people don't change that easily real life. In real life, we don't have so many misundstandings between two people, in real life an independent woman like zoya doesn't take crap from chauvinistic men like Asad. Zoya can fight goons anywhere but why does she become so meek in front of asad? Isn't that inconsistent with here character?

The trps of this show are definitely going to be high this week as they have succeeded in doing what they wanted to do- create controversy, create drama and create division of opinions.

Yes, media should be responsible but unfortunately shows like satyamevjayate don't garner as much trps as shows with drama and sensation do. Till the audience becomes united and shuns subjects that promote negativity, this ain't going to change. Let me ask you girls- are you going to stop watching QH after today? I rest my case here.

I will watch the show...I want to see the "creativity" that will be used to resolve this track. Heck I have watched worse. I like the acting of the actress who plays Razia - I think she if fab. I would and do watch it for her as well as Asad and Zoya. However, it will not be the same enthusiasm.

In the previous show as well, Ms Gul had a angry young man who was pushing the heroine around! He misunderstood her and blackmailed her into marriage! We were promised a strong redemption track where the hero was going to show his passion for the heroine and suffer internally for what he put her through! He was going to show his genuine regret etc!

But things sort went off track, and he ended up giving the heroine a 5 to 10 minute apology!! Yes his love for her was evident, and he remarried her with all the rituals this time! But, we didn't get the "Redemption track" that was much hyped and promised to us! This was the only reason why we all tolerated some of the abuse he meated out to the heroine! But in the end we all felt cheated!

That was it? Sounds better than with QH where he says sorry and gives her a cup of coffee. 😕

So if QH is going down the same path, then I will be highly disappointed again! I really hope they learn from their previous mistakes and not repeat them! IF they are showing the hero get violent or abusive, then they better show some seriouse remorse! Make it worth the audience while for enduring the mental torture in the first place!

Well said. I want to see remorse...as much as Zoya was irritating and annoying and immature...she deserved NONE of what we saw NONE of it. It bugged me now end to see the slap, the man handling and the icing on the cake was that horrible comment that she was deserving of a mother. Cruel.

Oh tell me about the young romantics. Rationality and common sense goes out of the window when one starts to defend a character just because they love the actor. And this is not only the case with QH but most of our telly shows. It is especially extreme here on IF.

It is dangerous when fans turn into fanatics.
