Good one Laila!

Honestly I was tempted to write an OS on just that scene. I think I will!

There's no way I can condone someone resorting to abuse in the name of venting anger or frustration.

honestly i really dont want anymore saving. Im sick and tired of all the saving and fighting. I think the only thing that will redeem Asad is time. If he just realizes hitting Zoya was such a wrong thing to do, says sorry and opens his eyes to his own faults and narrow mind. All of this will require time but slowly I hope they just progress that way.

Im sooo sick and tired of the fights...jesus christ at this rate Zoya doesnt need a lover she just needs to hire and security guard

I dont think Asad can redeem himself any more or it will take a lot for him to do so (at least for me). Throughout the entire show I've seen Asad do so many things that really irked me but I over looked them all. He has done many things like after zoya got him and ayaan to meet, he threatened to kill her even though she wasnt at fault, she was just trying to make him a little happier but what did asad do? he yelled at her made her cry and threatened to kill her. Also the way he is always judging her for wearing jeans. BUT that slap today just made me angry and it was way too far. She was trying to help a girl that went through one of the worst things a person can go through and what did she get for that? A slap that not only hurt her physically but also mentally hurt her self esteem. Who ever gave asad the right to do so? To me, it is not okay for anyone besides a person's parents can lay a hand on them without their permission and asad violated that and it is completely unacceptable for him to do so. If i was zoya I would not be able to forgive him no matter what he does and I hope she doesnt forgive him anytime soon. The irony in this is remember when asad was telling akram how a real man is someone who respects women? was what he did today very respectful?

Yeah he has too many prejudices but I was hoping to see him change over time in Zoya's company, like Darcy did in Lizzie's company but Asad is NO Darcy! The slap was it!
I was thinking the same thing about him telling Akram and also those four goons at the railway station when they hit Zoya-what a hypocrite!

Nothing against KSG or Subhi-they are great actors!
I don't know how much power do these actors have but I think that actors especially main lead involved in such scenes should speak up! just my 2 cents that I have been adding in this forum since morning! :)

Considering Zoya is US return and domestic abuse is a crime, she might just walk out with marian. Looks like the CVs are going for Asad-zoya hate track and then build up Ayaan-Zoya relation.

Personally, I think Asad should realise every thing on his own. He has a lot to redeem on. Every time he blamed Zoya for anything she didn't do, zoya went to jail trying to save his sister, the way he told zoya would not understand what it means to have a father who doesn't care etc etc...

Let's watch how things shape up. Let's not Jump to conclusions. I hope the CVs know what they r up to.

Not a chance! The cv's will have to do some serious damage control otherwise count me in -one more viewer lost! Actually, I stopped watching QH since today-have not seen the slap episode just hearing about it has got me all riled up if I watch it I don't know what will happen 😕

This mistake is TOO great for him not to apologize. He definitely needs to trash his ego and genuinely beg for forgiveness. and I don't want the disgruntled apology that he kind of gave last time either...

I have not been this active on IF for a while but this is such a mess and I am pissed! I hope you are right and the cv's realize the mess and the seriousness of it and make amends! Although personally I would be done with the guy!

Yes, he needs to be man enough and apologize properly. I have not watched that many Indian shows but I read that the actors usually bash their hand in the wall and such-hope they don't show that but make him ask for her forgiveness properly! He can go back to not liking her but he has no right to slap her and a genuine apology is required!

You had suspected this, Laila!
I never thought Asad would raise hand on women and children. They just proved me wrong. Couldn't the makers handle it without the slap?

What does it make him? If god forbid had Dilshad died instantly, would he have killed Zoya?

Why they had to take it to that level? But what can I tell, Asad is a character with flaws and this act heightens his flaws. He had always jumped to conclusions before knowing everything, he has been judgmental, he was never a normal person with so much hidden in him (Dilshad was more a victim than him, but she had such positivity, but not him), now he is abusive too.

Slap can never be justified. But I get what they are doing.
His 'Anger' directly proportional to 'guilt'/'repentance'. May be even exponentially proportional.
The bigger the act of anger, the bigger the guilt and further bigger repentance!
But with this act 'Asad' isn't the same anymore.

No one of Mariyam or Najma saw what Asad did. So, there wud b no opportunity for Mariyam to clarify it for Zoya. I think he has to over hear Mariyam saying 'why Dilshad brought her back' or Dilshad has to say that herself to Asad. That is how his misunderstanding wud b clarified.

Laila, I like the dialogues that you have for Zoya and Asad. But I'm not sure if Dilshad would say all of it, but I definitely want her to say that 'she is ashamed of his act and never expected him to hit her'. In addition I want her to ask Asad to be sorry and pay for his wrong doing. Both of which u hv already covered.

A very good post!
