Ammi ka darja bohat zyada bada hota hai that too a mom like dilshaad, we know zoya is not wrong he doesnt & u cant except him 2 play question answer wid Zoya that time.

Ok, so he could have just walked away...In my eyes, Akram and his goons, Mangalpur Panchayat and goons and Asad are the same-hitting once or many times does not make a difference-its the act!

Its not just about woman and/or man-hitting is just a big NO NO! and just bc one's mother is on death bed you don't go around slapping people bc you blame them. Tmrw if something happens to Najma, so should he slap Zoya again bc he thinks she is to blame?
It does not work that way!

Like I said before, then Zoya should have slapped Asad many times, right?

In my opinion I don't really thing the slap has anything to do with violence against women like most people seem to be taking it. Everyone does things that they later regret. I feel like the CVs are showing just how low Asad could go and how he has to change from this man to the one that Zoya will fall in love with. They need to have him realize the consequences of his actions and how he needs to change himself. I think this was a brilliant scene (not that she gets slapped) b/c so far everyones been in love with Asad (mostly b/c of how hot he is, or the smouldering looks he gives Zoya) but no one has yet outwardly hated him. I think this scene makes a lot of people do just that as can be seen by the numerous comments (I hope this is the reason they added this scene). Also, its a bit annoying that everyones looking for Asad to be some hero that should be kind towards women and respectful. The point is to show Asad isn't that guy, its the journey to become that guy in my opinion. Asad needs to have a dynamic to his character not be static; thats just boring.

Also, I really hope that they don't do this whole slap scene and then have Zoya go back to her cheery self trying to make everyone laugh. That is the part that makes me so angry. She needs to realize that she cant use that tactic in every situation. In my opinion, the audience needs to see her vulnerable side which I definitely haven't seen yet b/c she seems to bounce back from everything that gets thrown at her.

She also definitely needs to set Asad straight. Yeah, to a certain extent she may be responsible for Dilshad's condition, but isn't Asad as well? She needs to stand up for herself, needs to demand self-respect and definitely no mitwa moments until thats accomplished.

Thats my take :)

I understand your point of view and Zoya should definitely take a stand and not give to Asad and mitwa moments!

but I still cringe when I think about the slap! For me to go back to watching QH it would be Asad redeeming big time-not sure what he can do...

Apparently according to what I heard on IF that Asad redeeming big time= giving Zoya a cup of coffee. pathetic. I'm done with the show.

Over and out from my end for now! and it does not matter to the CV's since they have plenty of people who will watch and encourage this type of beh.

The root issue is that violence against ANYONE (regardless of gender, etc.) is not to be condoned and soap writers (not limited to this show) are crazy to continue to depict such violence in India.

I'm based in the US, so seeing women continue to be slapped in Indian movies, shows, is especially jarring. Here in the US, for years, men have not been shown hitting women in our shows/movies - and if they are shown doing this, they would also show them being punished. In India, esp. in light of the Delhi rape class which got such global coverage, I'm surprised they continue to show such violence. In other soaps, for example there was some Zee TV show a few years back where a guy raped a woman & he didn't even get punished.

Yes, Asad was mad and yes he thought Zoya was the cause of his mom being shot, but that's still no reason to just slap her as forcefully as he did. He could've yelled at her but resorting to physical violence is wrong. He should have at the very least let her explain herself.

When I first watched the scene I was shocked b/c Karan Singh Grover has always been in such lovey-dovey roles, he's never been so violent (with a woman). I really hope like I said thats the reason they added the slap, to make people not like him so much. And if you think about it, it is a natural response to a dire circumstance and its essentially a part of human nature as much as a lot of people may not like that.

But yeah I saw the sbs clip and I was not impressed. If I was in her position (and it might just be that its because I'm such a hot head) I would've given him a death stare, slapped him hard across the face and asked how he liked it lol.. You can't go from being slapped so hard to forgiving him that easily. She needs to seriously stand up and say "NO, back off, apologize you asshole and really mean it" before she budges.

I love Karan Singh Grover and I've defnitely taken a liking to Surbhi Joshi so I probably will continue watching the show just to see where it ends up.

Nomatter what but if they went on potraying asad a left out and lonely child who has grown n become strong and will always be strong nomatter what the circumstances are he will fight for eveybody close to thm...like fr zoya he did..but again cvs showed his character a negative potrayal of a man who iscoward n who is afraid of loosing his ammi and loosing hope so soon...this is truely nt acceptable...as of zoya has been a true supporter of his family hats off to asad to be shwn lyk dis wid a sudden chnge n we as a audience wont accept this chnge at any cost!
