Tahzeeb of Asad Ahmed Khan

Regarding no discussions on religion,I'm sorry but I disagree with you.

When a show is broadcasted, all the culture and traditions of a particular religion are associated with all the characters, scenes, celebrations, attitudes, beliefs, etc.
An Indian soap can't get away without relating religion with the family show and nor can the people on a forum when a show belongs to a minority community.
All over the world, a Hindu/christian/any other religion is not subjected and stereotyped with terrorism like horrific issues..
You can't deny that Islam is misunderstood and if you do kindly check your facts.
You live in UK.Great!!Plz don't curse India coz I may do the same for UK as well.
I'm glad that I don't live in UK-A statement like this can be really offensive. So kindly avoid it.

Millions of people have millions of wrong notions about muslims.

Qubool hai is just the first step taken for the first time in Indian history to remove certain dialects associated with Islam and show that Islam welcomes modernization with open arms but with elegance.

I hope you have gone through the articles related to QH.
Zoya-a NRI is going to present her modern perspective infront of highly religious families of Asad and Ayaan and at the same time Zoya is going to learn a bit about some of the traditions that are quite important in anyone's life by living in India.
When we have got such a show where East is meeting west and the 2 are falling in love, there has to be hundreds of opinions about such a show and even millions of questions.

At the forum, people are simply trying to provide some insight about Islam to those who don't know much about it.Everything is not present on google specially Islamic ideologies coz to understand Islam one needs first to read Quran and understand it.
This is quite impossible for many people.

Forum members are having healthy discussions on a sensitive issue like religion,so why did u get so hurt and frustrated? Not a single thread has witnessed unnecessary bashing and all.
Muslim members are trying to pass on some understanding about the behaviour of the characters of the show in the light of the culture that is being adapted in the show and I don't think it is a crime or quite annoying thing to do.

All of us are watching qubool hai, coming on the forum for entertainment but at the same time if a certain practice about a culture is shown, questions are bound to raise in the minds of people. So discussing Islam related topics at times is just a way to understand the show better in terms of the scenes and characters that are shown to us.
Google can't relate a scene of Qubool hai with Islam better than a living person.

No one is preaching Islam here, people are simply trying to understand the show and enjoy it with discussions related to queries that might arise in their minds at times.
I apologize in advance if I've hurt you unintentionally.
I simply didn't wish you to leave the forum for a good for nothing reason.
Take care!
I'm sorry if you are bored with such a long explanation.

PS-I've not talked about RK and Madhubala coz that was really not needed.Over the years non-hindus have understood Hinduism with the help of movies and serials( which have played a major role in providing insights about the different beautifultraditions of Hindus in various parts of the country) and same is going to happen with Islam in the case of Qubool hai. This show shall remove some of the myths associated with Muslims just like a minority community based show could have done for any religion in India.

O

I am not defo offended but frustrated...

More than the talk about the program I see talk about religions...
I am a Muslim to, talking about Quran, I don't know arobic but I do know English and I have English Quran,
And I think you will be surprised how much information you can have from internet for Islam.

The thing frustrates me that in no other forum I see no talk about religion, because it's such sensitive issues, and to be honest in many reply I have read I saw sarcasm... If you read some you will see...

Anyway I am proud to be in uk, sorry of I hard any Indian's feeling. I love India as its my mother land however it sometime shocks me with some attatude and different stereotyping.

Of course I know my taezeeb when I am in India. I were triditional cloths... Etc...

But than again my way of thinking is very different than any of you... And I like my care about each and every religion along with my...

Anyway sorry if I hurt anyone...

My clear point... It's a fiction... Enjoy the show...

And just so you know, I tend to get confused about the religious beliefs that are shown in other shows and I do raise my questions. It's an open forum and if I have a doubt I ask it. Members are kind enough to answer my questions. I am a Muslim and I have doubts too because different traditions different views.

You don't like it say so in manner thats not offensive. Living in the UK doesn't give you the right to degrade India. I have witnessed things in UK which are not worth mentioning and no place is different when it comes to ones tradition and culture.

There are going to be questions and so far only one thing has come up. Asad a hypocrite or not? People made their arguments and it did get out of hand. There is no need to get angry over fiction. Nothing is gonna change our belief.

Just relax yaara, hopefully he Cv's might keep it simple and keep religious values at bay and get on with the story telling.

Maybe I over reacted, but frustrating when you see sarcasm in sensitive issues such as religions...

Anyway, I hope more program in India we see diversity of different religion and culture and maybe than people will learn to pay respects...

Anyway, it's fiction an sorry of I heart anyone as mentioned in above post...

:)

I am gone stop reading any such topic related to religion and keep it to straight to the show...

Enjoy peps!

Agree with you! Asad's family is conservative. And any family regardless of religion can be conservative. And what Asad said to her sister wasn't because of the religion. It was because their values. Bringing Islam here would be completely unjust!
Thanks for the post! 😊

i know i rly hope we can all leave religion aside and just watch the show. one does not need to become a scholar in islam to understands these characters and their actions.

but i have to say i was very surprised that religion came up so early in the forum. its interesting in all these years for so many shows that has had very religious characters with all kinds of views, i had never seem anyone bring religion into character analysis, until now wen there is a show on muslims.

lets just keep this show fictional and bring any religion into it.

thanks for this post..i knew somewhere that this religion thing is gona be there in forum but never thought it will go to this extent..and its been only a week the show has started..
we have to remember that its a fiction show..hindu,muslims everyone watch this show..I am not muslim..but i watch this show coz of fresh storyline, and m loving the characters and ofcourse KSG.. and i take it as a normal show..i think that's why i don't have any question..yes we may have questions after some days that how this thing is done in islam as we dnt knw about it but i think if it would be asked like"why it is done like that n why nt like this" it would be wrong question..we have understand these things..then only we can enjoy the show..

i am really enjoying the show for now..and i don't really want to get into religion and all things..lets enjoy the show..

i hope i didn't hurt anyone..it is just my POV..😊

Thankus for this thread! A much needed one!! And yesss a lot of the stuff is being analysed & possibly over analysed in a religious context.. Maybe partly coz some people might be curious/inquisitive abt things which they're not quite aware of & maybe (I hope not) but maybe some very few just outta misconceptions/prejudged ideas or whatever else.. But whereas whats actually happening in the show or how the characters are behaving is jus how the individuals & the characters are & has nothing much to do with religion really! Its a TV show set in a Muslim backdrop, so obviously there'll be some religious aspects in it.. but anything & everything that goes on & every action that happens obviously doesnt have a religious angle.. But anyways I'm guessing or atleast hoping that as everybody comes to grip with the characters, the story, the backdrop & everything.. people would stop viewing at everything through the religious prism & take it as a fictional entertainment show which is what it is at the end of the day! :)

P.S. : I hope nothing I said was offensive or anything else in any which way! Jus my POV! :)

Yeah, I am speaking about that kurta wala thread. The arguments there were pretty heated. Like how that idea of. questioning Asad's actions were appalling to some. Whereas the TM just wanted to clarify things.

Anyway, I am hoping we can avoid a religious war. We don't need one of that here. Just read the sticky, about asking religious questions there. Its better that way.

That kurta thread inspired me even more to go ahead with Tahzeeb thread.
I simply wished to request people from mocking at Asad just because of a single statement of his.
Like you said, the motive of my thread was to make people understand with peace how justified Asad was in his statement according to my understanding of his attitude and behaviour.
Thanks a lot for your wonderful encouragement.
You are so right dear.
Seriously this forum is meant for having healthy discussions and not making fun of a culture or having religious wars here.
Everything definitely is not about religion and people need to understand that along with culture upbringing of a person in a particular environment is also quite important in the shaping up of a person's personality.
Yeah!! The sticky I saw after reading your reply. It was much needed.
Thanks a lot for giving us this beautiful thread.
Take care!
