Islam doesn't allow to ask anyone else accept Allah, not to go on graves / shrines asking for help or the wishes as Allah said that Allah answers our prayers when we call Him. here i m quoting some verses from Quran and a link of Ahadith where you can verify.

Check the verses of Surah Nahel 20-21
Those unto whom they cry beside Allah created naught, but are themselves created. (20) (They are) dead, not living. And they know not when they will be raised. (21)


Surah Zumar verses 43-44
Or choose they intercessors other than Allah? Say: What! Even though they have power over nothing and have no intelligence? (43) Say: Unto Allah belongeth all intercession. His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. And afterward unto Him ye will be brought back. (44)

example of those who call any one else except Allah in prayers

The likeness of those who choose other patrons than Allah is as the likeness of the spider when she taketh unto herself a house, and lo! the frailest of all houses is the spider's house, if they but knew. (41) Surah Ankabut

Chapter 47: FORBIDDANCE TO BUILD MOSQUES ON THE GRAVES AND DECORATING THEM WITH PICTURES AND FORBIDDANCE TO USE THE GRAVES AS MOSQUES

Still if people goes to shrines / graves of walis (pious people) for seeking help or praying it has nothing to do with islam and its an Bidah(invention), which is strictly forbidden by Prophet Mohammad Peace be upon Him. Going on grave is not forbidden but praying there or seeking their help considering them they can help them beside Allah; is Shirk.

We can ask some one to pray for us if he/she is alive but can't go to shrines or some place like that as its Shirk (making partners with Allah) and Allah said in Quran

Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly gone far astray. (Quran 4:116)

Shirk can only be forgiven after repentance and no one is allowed to make partners with Allah...when people go to shrines, that's due to a believe that those dead people are listening and can sort out their problem or can help in sorting out that.

Asad is the conservative type and I was literally fuming when he said what he did but then this was to highlight the differences in both characters and with time Asad will probably change his views but at the same time I hope Zoya also understands his views. Too often, serials show how the bubbly girl always changes the guy but I hope she doesn't change him too much that he ends up being similar to her bubbly nature. That becomes a problem for me when the guy is so in love with the girl that he's completely transformed from his earlier character. Asad is fine the way he is, he just needs to be a little less conservative I guess and be more appreciative of others experiences and their views. Other than that, I like the guy!

sorry guys i know you may not like this but i had to say this. Why are people bringing in DMG over here ? Iknow since this is KSGs show people tend to talk about his previous show but i think its against the rules. For people who seriously hate DMG so much & calling it CMG i fail to understand why cant they just forget about the show they hate so much. If you want to discuss DMG & KW then do that in your respective ATs . This is KSGs show so its better we dont discuss KW over here . You guys may not find DMG amusing but there are others who just love that show & that includes me ! DMG never was a hospital drama . It always said that its a lovestory in an hospital setup. The name itself means its a lovestory ____Dill Mill Gayye . How can people mistake this to be a hospital drama ? I do appreciate the fact that even without being his fans you guys are liking his acting & even referring him with Sharukh .Thanks fr that guys but please do not bring in DMG & KW in this .

Sweety no one has bashed KSG , KW or the show here.We just discussed how we missed KW on screen,and our like (dislikes). Anyone let's avoid talking about this, and get back to the topic.Everyone has their opinion,and i will keep it on mind on future to avoid talking about this. :)

well, no need to say thanks, when there is a question about islam, V must reply considering it our duty if we have knowledge about that. All the praise is for Allah who made me to answer for such questions.

@ eternal_love - Zoya's already voiced some concerns of modern Muslim girls/women. When Asad gave his conservative dialogue, I was hoping my parents won't be like "See he's absolutely right, that's how women should be." Thank God they didn't say that and I hope the show lives up to its promise of what it initially said it will portray.
