Chapter 1 - Day Without Him
She sat there crying. The pain was too much to take. She was broken with no one beside her. Suddenly, she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned with jerk in a hope to see him but her hopes were broken as she saw her father standing there. The tears make their way again.
"Piya what are you doing here alone? What happened?" Arnab sat beside her, he was concern for her
Alone! It increases the heaviness in her chest. Too much pain to bear! Maybe that's why Abhay wanted that she forget about him but she is ready to live in this pain instead of living without his memories.
"Piya stand up what happened to you?" Misha was worried to see her state
Piya heared them but she didn't have the strength to answer them or stand up.
Arnab and Misha looked at eachother confused and worried at her state.
"Piya this place is not safe let's go" Arnab shook her shoulders
"How to tell you papa this place... it is heaven! No place can be more safe than this" Piya thought and looked at her father with teary face
"Let's go" Arnab said softly and help her stand up
Misha walked by her side worried to see her condition. She looked at Panchi who was equally worried. They didn't say anything but looked at each other with a hope that this nightmare shall end soon but they didn't knew that it was their life a life that Piya choose, a life that was written by fate...
As they reached home she walked directly to her room without speaking to anyone she was in a trance. Her family looked at each other confused by her behaviour.
"What has happened to her? " Madhu looked at Arnab for answer
"Pata nhy" Arnab shrugged his shoulders "when we reach there she came to us and said she will be back soon and went in forest again. When ten minutes past we were worried for her and start to search her. We found her alone sitting and crying. I don't know what happens she didn't tell us anything" Arnab looked at her confuse himself
"Someone hurt her?" Madhu touch her heart worried for Piya
"No mom she doesn't have any scratch it seems like she is hurt... mentally" Panchi replied thoughtfully
Misha stood thinking. There was nothing they could say cause this outcome. It was not their fault but their ignorance, they were unaware of Abhay's truth so they couldn't find the reason too.
She sat by window looking outside far in forest. She remembered what happened sometimes back. His words echoed in her ears.
"Piya, promise me that you will take care of yourself, promise that you will try to live your life atleast, promise me you will not cry and will smile forever"She wiped her tears and looked at her hand for sometime that was wet by tear.
"It's not easy Abhay.. but I'll try, I'll try for you... you trusted me with this I'll try not to cry but Abhay, smile... it is difficult still I'll try...for...you" Her voice was soft, broken by pain
She rested her head on window, her eyes looking in forest deeply. She sat by there silently with the storm brewing in her heart and mind.
Misha and Panchi stood by the door looking at her.
"She seems little bit better no?" Misha whispered to Panchi
Panchi nodded thoughtfully "maybe all this effected her badly, the vampires werewolves it was not easy to face them but she saw them for so many times and don't know how much that Siddharth and Maithli tortured her" Panchi concluded
"But birdie that Maithli! She was talking to Piya like she has huge enmity with her, like Piya snatched something from her. It doesn't make sense" Misha remember how Maithli talked to Piya and looked at Panchi for reply
"Yeah... May be she hates Piya because she has same face as her" Panchi looked at Misha unsure
"That psycho type? Yeah wese bhi wo Maithli kisi psycho se kum nhy lag rhy thy" Misha made face
They looked at Piya for one last time and walked towards their room to rest.
Sun rays disturbed her sleep. She woke up and the first thing saw after opening her eyes was the forest. Forest! That had her heart buried! Tears welled up in her eyes but she wiped them and composed herself. She looked around.
"Maybe I slept here only" She talked to herself as she tried to stand up
"Slept!" She stopped, it was a shock for her
She looked outside the window at sky. She started to absorb her body and was more shocked.
"How is this possible? Why didn't sun hurt me today? How come I sleep yesterday? Where did all that symptoms of bite are gone? Is it because Abhay bite me and now he is frozen? No how's that possible? " She ran her fingers in her hairs in confusion
"Haseena aunty!" She exclaimed "Oh God! How can I forget them? They can help me. Yes they can even tell me a way to break that ice! Why didn't I thought this before?" She felt glad
She rushed to get ready with a hope to find some answers.
As she move through gate, the guard called her. She feel it was going to be hopeless.
"I want to meet Raichands" She speak softly, her heart telling her that they are gone and that's what the guard told her, they are gone
Pia felt extremely helpless. She turned and looked at the mansion with longing. So many moments she spent with Abhay, good or bad.. they are precious for her.
"I know uncle aunty, you must have left for here everyone knows you have son and not finding him everyone will question. You must have left to hide the truth.. I understand" She whispered
Her phone rings. She looked at the caller. Misha! She must be worried where she is.
"Yeah Misha am on my way to college" saying so she cut the call, she was not in mood to talk with anyone
Piya glanced at the mansion one last time and walked away sighing.
Misha looked at her phone shocked. Panchi came and touch her shoulder.
"What happened? " Panchi was worried
"She just said that she is on her way to college and cut the call! She didn't even care to know what I want to say" Misha shouted with frustration, she was confuse and worried
"So what? You also wanted to know where she is, what's the big deal? " Panchi tried to calm her down
Misha looked at Panchi giving unbelievable look - "Panchi you are not understanding! She is not like this. She didn't care to talk to me there could be other reasons too for my call but..."
"Misha calm down! Everything will be alright! You go to college and talk with her there okay? " Panchi looked at her for answer
Panchi smiled as Misha nodded giving up.
"I just hope Piya become normal" Panchi prayed as she looked at Misha going
What Panchi didn't knew was, the path Piya has chosen for herself is too difficult for her to be normal. The pain in Piya's heart is frozen, frozen to live in her heart always and it is too difficult to be normal with that pain.
