I actually read twilight half book and new moon half book but still I am aware of all the concepts of twilight.😃
I was never so attached to twilight so for me pkyek is much awesome than twilight.
And plus its the matter of perspective , even the viewers are not at fault here as this show when started it was said its desi twilight copy of twilight and all this news was spread when its name was fanaa so from the beginning this message got set in their mind that this is similar to twilight but then ekta changed the whole script and tried her best to make it realistic in her way.
The show started , people got feeling Abhay is vampire and which character got introduced they remarked them or compared them with twilight characters this was because the concept was kinda similar and plus as I said earlier it was set in their mind it is gonna be like twilight.
I have never compared it as twilight , few times yes but as you said its a inspiration from twilight and not twilight but don't worry people would understand it as they story progresses,such comparisons will happen now as we the viewers are not aware of all the characters their flaws.So need not to worry as the further the story progresses comparison will reduce.
