Mine was also an arranged marriage. But After first meeting only we knew that we were just meant to be. so we immediately said yes. After angagement He used to call me almost daily. And beleive me we used to chat for hours. Around Christmas time one day we were talking and my mom came and said that I want to talk to him. I told him that mom wants to talk to you after few minutes and we continued talking. Than as I was about to give the phone to my mom, he suddenly said those magical words. I thought he said bye or good night and I told him " Thank You " and gave the phone to my mom. As I moved from there it suddenly struck me that he said " I Love You"
I literally stnached the phone from my moms hand and asked him to repeat what he told me. He started laughing at first than started pretending that he said something else. But after few minutes he repeated it again. I asked him why suddenly he said that. He said that i just felt like saying it so I said it. I was on cloud nine after that. He asked me to tell the same thing but like Aarti I also started pulling his leg and once again said Thank You.
And beleive me I told him ILU after marriage for the first time.
We still laugh about this whenever we hear someone saying ILU in movies or serials.
Some might find it such a long and boring story. But for me it was precious. That's why I believe that sometimes a simple ILU holds much importance than an elaborate one. Well that's my POV
