Nonetheless, the scene was beautiful and had some interesting symbolism. It showed that Aarti is stuck in her life and no matter what she tries, she cannot move on and the one who feels this most keenly is Ansh. In the end it only takes one kick start from Yash to get the scooty going. To me this shows that Yash is going to be the catalyst in Aarti moving on from her past. However, he won't take her himself or really be part of her process of moving on, but he will be the one to get her to become just a little vulnerable, allowing him to jump start it.
The scene with PayLak and the balloons was very telling too. To me it showed how they have been used to undivided attention and now they are going to have to get used to sharing. But once Yash explained that they have to, they did so happily. I guess it shows that there will be some tension in the beginning until all the kids learn that they can share and it doesn't diminish their own happiness or love from their parents to do so,
I again felt bad for Aarti given how much Ansh is fascinated with his new papa. I am sure the scooty incident would have caused some bitterness for her because it makes her smaller in her son's eyes, which is not true, but she is insecure enough to believe it. I am interested to see what happens when Yash's superhero novelty wears off for Ansh, perhaps at his first session of discipline?
More tea party! Oh god I was ROFLing throughout this whole segment of the episode. I love how Paridi's parents seems so real and not at all crazy or quirky. They just happen to be a very modern, liberal family who does not believe in rituals but rather believes in love and openly showing affection. Mommy Scindia's horrified faces were the highlight of the episode today and I just could not stop laughing! 🤣 One thing I didn't understand, if they weren't going to have Paridi's voice throughout, why didn't they just have her talk to her dad normally and not on speaker phone? Anyway, I guess it was to reiterate the fact that they are totally transparent and share everything whereas Yash's family is big on each one keeping to themselves.
We said it all of yesterday and finally Gayatri said the very words "joru ka ghulam" 😆 But it actually baffles me that another joru would have such an objection to a man being a ghulam. But I guess Gayatri is thinking from the perspective of her son and not really in general and just when she is voicing her worst fears, Papa Khanna comes out with his prize-winner JKG advice. Ah, that was a moment indeed! And in Prateek's awkwardness you can see the future problems of his marriage. He already looks a bit embarrassed of his in laws in the context of his family, though it is his instinct to join them, so I can maybe see a situation where he will be embarrassed by Paridi doing the very things he loved about her before marriage. That could really cause problems for Paridi who is a very independent girl, not at all brought up to sehen atyachaar and I am glad of it. Very meaty.
The shagun thing was so awkward for poor Vidhi. 😕 Gayatri clearly thinks she is this badass, practical lady but in truth she is very emotional and acting on those very emotions. She resents the fact that Ansh is being brought into the house without her consent and is taking that out on Aarti's shagun. I guess the shervani thing also hints that Ansh will be given second hand treatment from her compared to her grandchildren. I dread this and hope for it to be a moment for Yash to step up.
And finally the 2nd April thing. I like the way they dealt with this. It was fast and relatively easy revelation and left lots of room for Aarti's emotional turmoil which was tolerable again since they have given us a good break and it is with good reason. it is so sad that she keeps Prashant's memories so close to her despite the fact that their relationship was so brief. She sure loved with an intensity. And I guess Shobha deduced the symbolism for us. That was the day Aarti became a bride, full of hope and love, and now that is going to be the day she marries her soul mate (though obviously she doesn't know it yet). So in a twisted way the universe is giving her delayed justice, though I totally sympathise with her feeling like this is some kind of cheap game. I mean WHAT are the chances?
Precap: Ignore and wait for episode. 😃
Nothing is going to come of it.
