Difference between PRC and Ashoka

As mentioned in another post, King Asoka of Magadha had also performed a Digvijay. He took over everything........and then felt bad........so he became a sanyasi........and adopted Buddhism.....

There were many similarities between Asoka and PRC. Both were the best warriors, with respect to their time periods. Also, both won almost every battle they had ever taken part of. Losing was something neither had "learned."

Both fell in love with a Kshatriya Princess. Both met their beloved while disguised as someone else. Prithvi was disguised as Surya and Asoka as Pavan.

Both PRC and Asoka had love, as well as power. However, they made opposite choices.

Asoka chose his kingdom over his love. He sort of just threw out his love life and focused all his energy on war. Prithvi chose love, although war was literally knocking on his door!!!

So, Asoka was more in control of himself, and used his knowledge to learn about Buddhism. Prithviraj was a knowledgeable person as well, however, he failed to use his knowledge in the presence of love.

Prithvi was destroyed primarily by his unconditional love for his wife, while Asoka gained a lot by destroying his love.

Even though Asoka obviously gained more out of life, the question is, who lived their life more happily?

If you were to become either Asoka or PRC, whom would you choose to become, and why?

This exercise will be fun.....It'll help find out who is emotion-driven and who is logic-driven.......😉

I will surely be like PRC, Ashoka had to remorse for wat he did later in life but PRC neva ever did anything which he has to regret later n he was happy too wid the luv of his life sanyo. I guess i too wont be able to choose power or money over ur unconditional luv.I agree PRC over indulged himself wid his wife Sanyo neglecting his duties according to history but still he is my idol n will remain so alwayz 😳

i would definitely be prithvi. Ashoka had taken the lives of many innocent people to gain their land, but prithvi never took the lives of innocent people. He was a ruler -by the people ..for the people.

PRC....he was n his best....becoz he choose to rule by luv n not by power

actually if u read history....Ashoka hz done a lot 4 da society.....a looooot more than PRC....m not exaggerating here.......bt thtz da reason hez known as "Ashoka-the great....n 1 of da most remeberd Indian .....Across the world...he beats evn Mahatma Gandhi ...coz of his greatness..."....though Mahatma Gandhi tops th list.....of the greateast Indian rmbered across the world..
n among choosing between Ashoka n PrithviRaj Chauhan....Picking between 2 Legendz...is impossible....coz both wer equally great...
n i wud luv to hv the qualities of both of them.........!!!!! 😳

hey guys I have some different view in this regard...

legends can not be compared & Ashoka & Prithvi both are two of the brightest names in Indian history😊....

pls don't get hurt but I think Ashoka is a more glorious name of Indian History than Prithviraj chouhan....dont think about the PRC serial but about what history says......Prithvi was no doubt a great king & a great lover but he did some common man mistake…..A king whose first responsibility was to protect his kingdom lost himself in his personal life….Love makes a man more powerful & more responsible may be in case of Prithvi if he was given some more time in his life he could prove himself again but he was destined for the tragedy……..In case of ashoka he transformed himself from a cruel killer to a saint by learning from his own mistakes…….his life is a piece of lesson to all human being……..again I must say it is destiny which gave ashoka more time to learn to rectify & finally to reach the limit where no Indian administrator have ever reached……..Ashoka was the ruler of almost the whole north east India…….His time is called the golden period on ancient India……The difference between Ashoka & Prithvi is only their fate……..both of them are the greatest in their time & situation….

Regarding ashoka's love life please don't follow the movie Asoka………But he was married with a Buddhist girl whose name was kumar devi…...
