Renuka stared at the TV n then back at Ramu chacha , her face fearful n shocked ... 'what's happening?' she gasped in dread ...oh! what's happening to her dear daughter? She thought , her eyes filling with tears as she heard the old woman informing the media that Pratigya n that guy who actually kidnapped her had been dating for a few days n had been keeping it a secret but she as the head n elder of the family , of the 2 families, infact , has decided to grant their wish , although the minister was hesitant about it...all the while renuka could see her daughter looking around the crowd , as though searching for someone, her face tensed n bewildered ...renuka sagged weakly down to the floor as she heard the reporter asking her daughter whether this new arrangement was because that ...that guy had raped her or whether bec she had willingly serviced him n wanted to hush it all up... her head snapped up when she heard her daughter's strong voice answering the dirty question ... renuka felt a sense of pride when she heard her daughter speaking the truth , but felt the dread returning in full force when that old women prevented Pratigya from elaborating or telling the whole truth...renuka looked up at Ramu chacha , tears falling down freely 'why am I so unfortunate Chacha?' she wept uncontrollably ...
Krishna drove straight to his home, all the while ignoring his phone which kept ringing all the time... all people who knew him where trying to reach him , most of them jealous n some of them happy n excited ... n then there were his father n chandu calling him, trying to know where he was...there was a horde of media people surrounding the gate n he honked down viciously , the guards , sensing that something is definitely wrong , pushed back the media with vigour , bowing n cleaning up his path ... Krishna pulled his rover over the porch , slamming down on the breaks which send the guards to frantically straighten their posture , sweat rolling down their foreheads as they sensed their master's foul mood ... Krishna has no intension to go anywhere else , he should be at home to hear Ma sahib out to comprehend the insanity which happened minutes ago... n announce what he thought of all the bullshit!...
he stormed his way inside the hall, the guards exchanging confused n tensed looks by the door ... Sajjan looked up as Pratap stood up , both relieved to see him, but Krishna ignored them as he sat down on one couch , his knuckles pressed together , his eyes staring at the door... Sajjan n Pratap exchanged looks as Sajjan stood up n walked over to where Krishna sat n sat down next to him, his hand skimming fatherly along his son's long unkempt hair ... Krishna acknowledged his gesture by closing his eyes for a moment , but continued to stare straight at the entrance... he so wanted to yell at his father asking him W*F his sister thought she was doing , but he controlled the urge ...mainly bec he could sense that his father was as angry as he felt... sumitra , who didn't have a clue as to what was happening , peered from behind the curtains, as the ominous honking had scared her ... she could see the back of her husband n her son n she could feel that something bad has happened ... their features were wrought with anger ... she looked over at Pratap n saw him tensed n confused ... concern filled her heart ... she saw Chandu almost running into the hall n tensed ... she relaxed as she saw Chandu relaxing as his eyes fell over Krishna n he paced slowly up to Pratap , giving a strained smile ...Nobody moved an inch for a few minutes n now sumitra was feeling terrible ...just then Gayatri entered the hall...
Gayatri , her heart pounding in her mouth , tried to keep her eyes steady as she met Krishna's angry gaze ... she dared not blink , but before she could even look over at Sajjan , on whom she had some degree of control , cashing on her sister card ofcourse, Krishna almost growled in anger , still seated , his eyes never leaving her 'Explain urself!...' 'krishna!' Sajjan reprimanded him bec Krishna sounded as if he was giving GD the last chance to speak if not downright disrespectful ... Gayatri tried hard not to flinch as she saw Krishna simmering n Sajjan getting up , his eyes on her ...'tell me why did u did this didi?' he asked , trying to sound respectful n not angry n confused ... Gayatri could feel krishna's piercing gaze over her n she looked around at Chandu n her husband before turning to face Sajjan ... 'forgive me dear brother , but I ... I ' she cleared her throat ... 'I was having a bit ominous feeling last night n then that Shailendra called me saying that his daughter wanted to speak to me...' she said , trying to sound strong ... Krishna looked up , his full gaze on her as Chandu stiffened , confused ...
Sajjan looked at GD . silently asking her to go on 'she said she is going to ruin ...him... ' she nodded her head slightly at Krishna , not looking at him...' bec she wanted revenge , first for kidnapping her n sec for humiliating her in the morning n ...well...n thinking of making her his mistress...' krishna's jaw clenched almost painfully , as Chandu inhaled sharply... Pratap looked confused n his eyes looked over at Sumitra ... sumitra looked shocked n confused as she wondered whether the girl would go to such lengths to get her revenge... but then her eyes narrowed as her gaze became fixed on GD... huh! How could i be so stupid? Sumitra thought ... what if GD is lying? But... she thought, confused n frustrated ...but why would she lie? ...she shook her head out of her thoughts as she heard her husband speak '...'well, we all know that ...we know that she was going to accuse him...what's new?' asked Sajjan, confused ...'n what did u tell her?' he continued ...
GD said , trying to keep her voice from shuddering... 'i asked her to go to hell... i cut her call...but she called again this morning ...she told me that she won't just accuse Krishna of raping her , which she will prove with her teeth marks on his palm , but she will also play eye witness to ...u know... the killing of Kaliya...!' sajjan looked at Krishna , whose eyes were now slits ...'go on, didi...' Sajjan asked , sitting down heavily on the couch ... 'well, even though she can't prove anything about kaliya's death , i was a bit fearful ...imagine if some crazy fame-hungry journalist like the one who took their photo together would decide to dig deep pf such an accusation! ... ofcourse we know that police won't touch us even though her father is the defense minister , but what if someone finds out... I got scared n angry ... n then she told me that she knew he wanted her as his...mistress... n she will not agree to that... n she also knew that he will ...erm...get what he wants ,n so she wants to save her father from humiliation n also get even with him...she said that she wants money n power, just as her father n that she will do anything to help her father win the elections n Krishna can't expect her to be his ...slave... rather she will decide what she wants... so she proposes this condition that if he will marry her , she won't say anything at the media , but if he is not ready for that n insists on taking her as his mistress, then she will ruin him...ruin us... ' everybody looked shocked , expect Krishna who is trembling in anger ...
Sajjan was getting angry as he said ' why didn't u tell us about this didi? N why succumb to her condition? The father n daughter r just trying to get some sympathy votes n sensational news on them...!' GD sighed ...'so I thought too sajjan... Krishna n chandu wasn't at home, n also bec the matter is so trivial , I thought of ignoring it... but then thought of speaking with her...n so I called Shailendra after sometime.. ... he told me that he is giving us a last chance n if we didn't comply he will go ahead with their plan ... I tried n prevent him from mentioning about kaliya , as such kind of accusation won't be ignored by media n...when the pressure from the opposition mounts ...the government ...although we know that there will be just a routine enquiry ...but our face will be affected ...somewhat badly ... so I decided to meet his daughter in person to try n persuade her to stop from going public... I went n met her at the conference hall...she said that being a lawyer herself, she will prove in court about Kaliya ...but that will come afterwards...she told me that her father would secure a search warrant to search our house for her ruined n blood stained dress , claiming that its kaliya's blood on it, while the conference is underway...so that we r caught unawares , bec I guess her dress is still here, isn't it? ...'...
GD looked around , before plunging on ...'apparently shailendra wants a strong ally for the upcoming elections...he lost our support over the issue of riots n so now he has this plan of marriage ...I tried to reason with her but...' she cleared her throat again , not looking at Krishna 'she said that as Krishna again humiliated her there n she will make sure he pays...n to my horror she ... she had brought this there , giving me an ultimatum that if she won't get to be his wife instead of mistress , she will use this as her main weapon !' Gayatri said as she threw Sumitra's sari down on to the tea table in the middle of the hall, from her hands which hid it until then along her side ...everybody's eyes fell unanimously over the sari n Krishna had leapt to his feet , his nails digging into his plam ... Chandu inhaled in shock as Sajjan groaned in anger ... Pratap n Sumitra exchanged shocked looks...'I...I don't want u to go through hell , Sajjan n ...I am sorry... pls forgive ur didi...I really didn't want to accept her blackmail...but...but u know what the media could make out of this n all...' Gayatri sobbed , looking guilty ...

Chandu looked up from the sari to Krishna n then down to his right palm where he was mashing the ghungroo... he looked at krishna's eyes n was shocked to see anger ...n hatred ... tears filled his eyes as something tugged at his heart, as the tiny bubble of happiness in his chest broke ... oh! Why did she had to do such things? ... his heart tried to fight one more time...would she do such disgusting things?... Say such derogatory things?... But this sari?... N they had seen her talking to ma Sahib outside that room...!
Sajjan wrenched his eyes from the sari , as he n sumitra looked at Krishna an odd feeling in their hearts ... sumitra, her eyes brimming in tears looked at her son ... Sajjan looked at his son's eyes n then at the ghungroo, his eyes narrowing in confusion... Gayatri looked at Krishna through the corner of her eyes , hiding her smile of triumph ... she was wary of Krishna ever considering the girl other than a mere object n now that she had successfully planted her story in his mind , he will forever see all women as unworthy creatures ... he would just use her throw her... ! ...Pratap looked shocked... did he commit any mistake in reading a person? Pratap thought dejectedly...he looked at his wife , his brow knitted in confusion ... if his wife was lying, what was the purpose? N how did she get the sari if the girl didn't give it to her? ... he shook his head to clear the bombarding questions ...'that girl is going to pay for this ! her worm of a father is going to wish he ...' snarled sajjan , walking towards the door ... 'bauji, Stop !' ordered Krishna , his voice ringing through the hall... sajjan turned around to look at him , simmering in anger ... 'what r u talking Krishna? We could just swipe that father n daughter away in a jiffy ... think about the situation...the files! The chief minister wanted us to... ...' Sajjan began heatedly ...'where's the fun bauji?' Krishna chuckled , running his left hand through his hair ... ' ...Gayatri nodded , trying to hide her excitement ... 'Assure the media , Ma sahib... n Bauji , don't ruin my fun... Chandu, make the arrangements at Royal ... Rakesh ! ' he called pleasantly ... Sajjan shook his head in defeat as Chandu stared at the floor... Rakesh the chief servant came running to the hall, stopping short , his head bowed 'yes, chote malik?' ...krishna grinned widely 'decorate the house befittingly ...it's ur chote malik's engagement tonight...' Rakesh looked shocked n darted his eyes at Chandu, wishing he would say something ... but finding that he won't get an answer , rakesh ran down the corridor to the kitchen , stopping short as he saw Sumitra , only for a sec , n then continued running ... Sajjan looked at Sumitra , their eyes meeting through the transparent silk curtain ... they stared long while Krishna got up from the couch , a kind of anger n an incomprehensible feeling of pain shaking him to the core... both sajjan n sumitra looked at Krishna as he climbed the stairs , while chandu dragged his feet towards the exit ... Pratap looked at gayatri , trying to decipher her expression , but she was way too cunning as she kept her face wooden ...
Sumitra turned from the corridor n walked back to her room... her eyes streamed ... just moments ago she was happy for her son ... n the girl! Oh God! ...she didn't think that that girl could turn out to be such a ...bad one... she fed n clothed her n that girl had to be shameless to use that against her...against her son!... sure she was hurt n wanted revenge ... but from whatever she heard , the girl also wanted power n money ... to manipulate ... ! she had looked so innocent ...! so cultured ... so good ! ... sumitra sank into her bed , feeling miserable...
Krishna threw the ghungroo along the floor of his room, the moment he entered his room... the room seemed to mock him...he had such plans for the night !... minutes ago he was fantasising about her ...about the things that he would do to her... the things that he would make her do for him! ...all the while enjoying her!... n now! ...now! all he wanted was to beat the crap out of her! To humiliate her in the worst possible manners that she would wish she was never born... ! to kill her! No! ... Not kill her!... she would be begging him to give her death, but he won't... he will give her hell... he will treat her like a worm under his feet , just like his father treated his mother!...
Krishna let out a roar of anger ... why the hell was he feeling bad that she tried to frame him using his moth... no that woman's sari...? why ? ... n why was he feeling like betrayed by her?...who was she to him to feel hurt? ... hurt? ...why was he feeling hurt? ... he kicked open his bathroom door, running the water over his bleeding hand above a luxurious sink... he looked at his eyes in the mirror ...why was he feeling hurt? Didn't he know that she was going to accuse him of rape? ...wasn't he finding it amusing? ... then why? He knew the answer ...she had to drag in his moth... that woman!!!! ... what had he done to himself? What had he let that...her to do to him? ... he had let a mere girl hurt him!!!!!... he splashed some detol over his hand , biting down his anger ... well! Not anymore! She is the one who is going to get hurt ! he thought angrily ...even as he wondered why he thought that she will be hurt by him!
