This movie was announced almost three years ago. They were doing preproduction this whole time? What about all the rumors that no one was investing in Ranveer because of how his movies were doing at the time?

According to this article Ranveer is not happy with the script and asks for changes. Does he have clauses in his contract that he has to approve the final script? Does his contact expire after 2-3 years? Is there stipulation about paying back preproduction costs if one walks away from the film?

People in Bollywood walk out of movies at the last minute all the time. And most of the time there might be some negative PR here and there but everyone just moves on. I find it very odd that two big names in Bollywood are in this public fight now. I’ve got to say, Farhan starting this right after Dhurandhar’s success makes him look suspicious. But like I said above, it depends on how it’s all contracted. At the end he might technically win.

Ranveer would not step out of a film if he legally couldn't, he isnt stupid.

Yes many actors have walked out of films at the last min, even days before filming begins. Many directors and producers have dropped actors at the last minute. So why is ranveer walking out of this film being made into such a big deal by excel?

Here ranveer has not left the film at the last minute, farhan was thinking about starting the film in summer 2026, so still many months left, and who knows if he would start it at that time. Farhan has postponed the filming of Don3 2-3 times, it was announced 3 years ago, for nearly a year and half ranveer filmed nothing and farhan did not start filming, and no pre production takes more than three years to complete.

The reality is, farhan wanted to wait until after dhurandhar to decide if he wanted to go ahead with don3 with ranveer, and now thats its a big success he wants to use that success to make don3, im sorry but Ranveer deserves better than that, he deserves a director like aditya dhar who had faith in him even at his low phase. So I'm not surprised by ranveer walking out, Farhan is just messing about and not taking things seriously.

And what pre production costs 40 crores? They havent even started filming, thats just insane. And didnt excel sources say they were the ones who said they didnt want ranveer to do the film? So then what is all of this atleast excel should be consistent with their story lol

The last time the shooting for Don 3 was sheduled for February 2026 - it had been the 4th postponement (after 3 announcements for shooting-starts in 2025)... then instead of starting (as Farhan allegedly had already done all the preproduction - for 40 cr! ), he currently announced a movie with Sunny Deol and also talked about the 3-women movie again... As I regularly said: Farhan has no valuable script!

LOL is Farhan trying to recover money for his flop movie 120 bahadhur which I might add he chose over doing Don with ranveer . Farhan is being really petty I have to say , I am glad ranveer left the project.

Jee le zara is also not going to happen, i don't know what farhan is doing. If he wanted to make don3 then he would have started filming when he said he was going to start filming, why postpone it so many times? Kiara dropped out coz she was pregnant, kiara has now had the baby and the baby is nearly 1 years old and the movie was still not going to start! Vikrant massey was in talks to the play the villain and even he said no, Don3 was just doomed from the start and looks like ranveer finally realised this and has thankfully left it, but now farhan is doing al this drama and i don't know why, farhan and ranveer were friends, they even have many common friends

Ranveer was going to do that prasant varma film, they were going to start filming in literally a few days, and things didn't work out and they parted ways, but prasant varma still spoke so nicley about ranveer after that, even the production house said they hope to work with ranveer in the future. They didn't demand ranveer pay crores in damages, thats because diasgreements and drops out are very normal in the industry

If I count the times Farhan brought Don 3 into the media, it may be more than 10 times the last ten years.
