good post, Elle. very true! It is a lesson for SS.

But also i'd say the same for Adarsh and his family..they are hypocrites as well. I despise this character of Adarsh. who the hell is he to beat Komal in such a cruel manner. Thats just not justified no matter how many extra marital affairs Komal is having.

Saxsenas are educated illiterates. They think by getting a college degree, eating with spoons rather than hands, ranting about law all the time they've become civilized. That itself reflects a narrow thinking. And they are fake as well which makes them worse.

Saxes and Thakurs are same.

Krishna is not educated, but he is not a cheater. He knows he has temper issues, his thoughts are narrow minded, but at least he accepts his flaws, is willing to get rid of them.

Adarsh is an educated version of Shakti.

Good post elle, probably from the story's standpoint its exactly what the writers wanted to prove...👍🏼

Though Komal is also capable not only to defend herself but to teach him a good lesson, wonder why she allowed him to beat this much and not fired back. 😳

Komal has become the docile deer in the family who directs all her anger and fires at Tam.

Adarsh may have been ready to sacrifice his jaanu to stay married to Komal but the residual feelings for his lady love overseas still linger and the pent up emotions of the past (giving up on baahar laundiya Roli) deep down he resents Komal for his life ...though he thought he was making a sacrifice for Prats's sake and pitched the offer to K.

It also shows the duplicity of some men who see no wrong when they stray for comfort outside marriage and do it secretively. Yet when their woman so much as smiles in the direction of another man they get possessive and are ready to scoop their eyes out or give them a good trashing. Double standards? Of course! Man's fragile ego just can't take it.😕

As I mentioned before it's pretty ironic that KN would question Adarsh's beating while Kesar stands by his side...this from the one who killed four babies and buried his wife alive. K and SS lose their heads when their explosive anger erupts and grab a gun/pistol to settle scores. When it comes to familiy SS prefers his worn-out sandals to have a hefty emotional and physical impact on the ones they trash.😕

Looks like the Takurs have a lifetime membership with NRA (National Rifle Association). Guns in the house with children is dangerous. Imagine if a loaded gun ended in the hands of Chinkiya or Samar when they were playing without understanding the repurcussions of such weapons.

Prats is smart that way, she uses her words to act like bullets with no harm done but sure wears the listener down..🤣

Good post Elle.
Agree, whether they're educated or not, all ppl live by double standards.
SS ought to reflect back on how he treated amma - i remember when Ganga left, and amma moved back into their bedroom, and he beat her - he was the one who remarried, illegally, but she was beaten its time him and KN had a good look at themselves, it was funny too when KN exclaimed how dare Adarsh beat my sis and throw her out, and the look Kesar shot him.
Now Komal's received the same treatment, it hurts their thakur pride, cos they think only they have the right to beat women, and even used to encourage K, but he had none of it.
Its very convenient how men like Adarsh consider themselves to be above everyone, and have extra marital affairs, but when he suspects his wife, she gets a thrashing without being given the chance to defend herself. I can't wait to see how Komal makes him suffer for this treatment.

The Komal in pig tails came back fighting...the new Komal with her modern Prats like fashion seems to have mellowed beyond recognition for most part except when she takes her potshots at Nandoiiji...little does she know yet that he's the mischief maker behind all that beating.

Adarsh sell parts of his "reasoning" side of the brain for a few beans or what? Since when did he become Tam's best friend esp. after he told the sorry loser to get lost within 30 days. So how many days has the days counted down yet? Will the Saxes have the courage to toss Mr. & Mrs. Tam with their possessions out of GH before more damage is done?😕

They are hypocrites, but I've noticed that in reality as well, most of us are. I notice many families, who although claim to treat the daughter-in-law like a daughter, and to some extent even do... but there is always that little back-biting that the saas does behind the bahu's back, which differentiates DIL from daughter.

Thakurs are a classical example. They should realize now that it's not so pleasant when you yourself are on the receiving end.
